Very detailed project management tool, but equally complicated
What do you like best about the product?
Issue cards have plenty of fields to give all details of problem. Images upload easily and consistently well. Each screen has customisable fields that means you can tailor it to your use. Backlog management is better than products like twillio . New redesign is much better look and feel, but is quite significant so takes some relearning. Good outside integrations like the one we are using with intercom which allows operations staff to create issues straight from intercom. Cheap product when less than 10 users but gets very expensive after that.
What do you dislike about the product?
Workflow manager is very complicated and takes a long time to get setup. Easy for users to get confused between projects when creating new issues. Default screen setups have too much detail and they should provide more example setups so you do not need to customise as much. Much more complicated than products like twilio or github issues for operations staff to create issues.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tracking tool for technical bugs. Kan ban board for tracking features through the product pipeline
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure you set it up properly and devote enough time to doing that. Also will need to train staff on how to use it as it is fairly complicated

Quick, works well with Mac on Safari and Chrome

Poor format editing, global date settings annoying

Can be very convoluted. There are many features. Sometimes this makes it difficult to find small settings.

What do you like best about the product?
Basic functionality is easy to use, but there is also lots of room for customization.
What do you dislike about the product?
No built-in Grant chart functionality for project planning.

What do you like best about the product?
I love being able to quickly see what I am working on, comments that anyone has left concerning it, and progress that our team has made. I appreciate the hooks into Bitbucket as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's definitely a learning curve with this. It almost seems that unless someone else shows you how to use a certain feature, you will never learn it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This is the primary tool our team uses for our Agile development process.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I don't have experience with other similar tools, but I do like this one. Especially if you are already using Atlassian products!
JIRA -- Great platform for managing projects of any size and scale
What do you like best about the product?
Very good concept, easy to adopt. Great marketplace with a lot of plugins and add-on modules almost for any request. Both micro- and macro- level of managing the projects are very helpful: tasks, projects, portfolio view help to coordinate the effort of the team and provide an effective reporting to the executive team. Very good collaboration between JIRA and Windows domain services, like Active Directory etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it feels like it has to much features and option, almost like MS Office suite. When in harry it's difficult to introduce a new feature or workflow to the team, it always takes time to learn how to.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing distributed team with the Cloud version of JIRA. Managing projects, tracking time, governing the product roadmap with JIRA on-premise.

What do you like best about the product?
Easy of use, workflow customization, the posibility to use as an issue tracker or a software project managment tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
Price, is to high and the third party plugins are also very expensive.

We solve several problems. Support department (client issues) and Software Project Managment.

You must start with the 10 dolars license, is a good way to start and test all the functionality

I think it's a usefull tool if you need to bug tracking and product backlog management. It let you to track your projects along with amongst team members. with JIRA you can organize our internal documentation and allow us our customers access to documents and articles they might need.

Integrations with some plugins can be difficult in some cases.

Using agile methodology in our work. We can divide task into small consumable pieces.
The best tracker
What do you like best about the product?
JQL - Jira query language. Issue search
What do you dislike about the product?
Not possible to make complex queries like "show me the tickets that have all the dependent tickets resolved".
Not possible to guarantee when will the task be done. No queueing. For example, 5 people assign 5 tickets with the same status=blocker to a person. But the person is working on another ticket and will be working on it in the next 5 days. There is no way the people can see that their tasks will not be started earlier than in 5 days.
