JIRA AS ITIL tool for IM, PM,

What do you like best about the product?
User friendly. Robust modules. Ease of use and self explanatory modules.
What do you dislike about the product?
The GUI looks little messy. Can be changed to look more cloud based app.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Incident management. ITIL modules are well managed by JIRA. Easy to navigate within the system. Incident tracking is having multiple features.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Good to use for small organizations.

What do you like best about the product?
I think use of standard filters and custom filters comes in very handy. I often use this feature to find all the PBIs (Product Backlog Items) that I'm tracking.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not easy to select a discontinuous group of PBIs for viewing on a single page.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tracking open PBIs, prioritizing PBIs in bi-weekly team meetings involving participants at several locations, and scheduling PBIs for specific sprints.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Try it to see if it meets your needs.

What do you like best about the product?
Jira can do a number of thing and track projects, but I don't feel that it does any of them best.
What do you dislike about the product?
Jira is quite scatterbrained in my opinion. It can do a lot of things but none of them very well. it is the epitome of the phrase "Jack of all trades, master of none"
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are trying to track projects with code in Jira to have a cost savings, none realized

Have a firm roadmap if you want success

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use, goes with Confluence, and intuitive.
What do you dislike about the product?
Does not highlight versioning. I think it would be uses full to see changes on the page the first time you view it after someone has mad a change

Easy way to communicate with development on Enhancements, Bugs, and new features

What do you like best about the product?
I think the UI is intuitive and easy to use. I like the fact it comes with a mobile app and is highly customizable. The community and alessian-provided support is great too
What do you dislike about the product?
Some configuration is not very intuitive. I don't like that you can't post comments through the mobile app as internal (at least on the Android app).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jira provides strong integrated communication tools. It allows streamlined communication of status (via dashboards) and can manage all components of the SDLC (requirements through delivery).

What do you like best about the product?
It serves an IT organization well when working on an Agile project. The ability to align stories with epics, epics to features and features to capabilities.
What do you dislike about the product?
The limitations around free form text entry.
Bullet and number showing up as hashtags and asterisk when constructing content.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Requirements management for Agile projects.
Integration with Confluence and the rest of the Atlassian suite (Confluence, HipChat)
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Do you truly have an Agile project?
How well is your organization (IT and product) set up to work with Agile documentation vs. Waterfall?

What do you like best about the product?
It has a nice UI. I love that you can commit code with the title and have it pop up in JIRA and link to the bitbucket commit.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's reporting features could be much better. I had an easier time exporting to csv and running custom statistics on tickets than I did using build in JIRA reports

Software development, tracking bugs, showing who is in progress

What do you like best about the product?
It's a popular software, once you go through the learning curve it becomes easy to use
What do you dislike about the product?
Not the best user interface, neither the user experience, sometimes it's difficult to find certain tickets.

We follow the agile methodology with the use of JIRA
