Okay software for escalation tickets
What do you like best about the product?
That you can reassign items as needed to loop in additional participants
What do you dislike about the product?
Being able to see the ticket without signing in, but then having to sign in to comment.
No reminders.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JIRA allows us to track escalation tickets. It's helpful that they allow screenshots and have all the necessary contact info to get in touch with the ticket submitter.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Decent software, but likely that you could find one that performs better.

I like the flexibility of different reports you can make.

Sometimes, it is difficult to search and filter for different Jira tickets.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Jira to report bugs in our software, write improvement requests, and ultimately communicate with our product and design teams. It's a great software that helps track the amount of tasks completed by each team!
Using Jira for the non-developers
What do you like best about the product?
In the past two companies I have worked for I have used Jira. It is user friendly if you have a base knowledge of project management and tracking tools in the developer world.
What do you dislike about the product?
Creating new tasks and boards can be cumbersome at times, especially if you need to move one task to another project.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Organization is the biggest business problem this solves for. The greatest benefit is the ability for our engineering team to openly display projects and allow the team to follow along.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Spend some time getting to know the system. Talk with your team to understand the best way to use the system. There are so many different features of Jira and it is great for tracking projects as well as other issues that might arise.

All in one tools , very broad eco system , there are plugins for everything .
What do you dislike about the product?
pricing ....
every addition , every plugin cost your more , just the basic offering is not enough - take that into account ....

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
we use Jira to manage all tickets in engineering include : tasks , bugs , customer escalation ( integration with Zen desk )
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Jira today is almost the standard for ticket management systems ,
advantage : its commonly used , it supports every thing you will ever need , broad ecco systems , plugins .
disadvantage : pricy , its nit that easy to use ... with all that functionality comes complexity

Good ticket tracking
What do you like best about the product?
I love the ability to interact with customers and internal team members to track tickets and issues.
What do you dislike about the product?
The notification system leaves a lot to be desired. Either you get notifications or you don't. No in between.

Use to track customer issues and route to proper teams
JIRA is a great defect tracking tool and so much more!
What do you like best about the product?
JIRA is very easy to use. The UI just makes sense and it's easy to figure out what to do next. I've used it for defect tracking and for managing the Agile SCRUM process.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only real thing I dislike about JIRA is that the workflow is *so* customizable that it can get messy if someone who doesn't know what they're doing sets it up.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Defect tracking & Agile SCRUM project management. The benefits realized are that it's easy to create & track defects and their movement through the process workflow.

Just do it. JIRA is a great tool and will help with defect tracking and SCRUM process.

I enjoy that there are different views for the same information, active sprints vs. backlogs

My dislikes are what my company uses if for, not the program itsself

I appreciate the macros and templates available for use. It is my go to software for all things Product!

I wish there was a premise template for Gaant Charts.

Overall Not a bad idea

It was the easiest way to classify multiple bugs and cases under one umbrella and bring it to the attention of management and the developers
What do you dislike about the product?
There wasn't anything in particular I disliked about it that was due to the product, it was more the restricted access that was enforced.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Making data visible to the developers to categorize and determine which bugs in the company software needed to be addressed first or immediately.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are a software company that needs to be able to efficiently track the bugs that need to be fixed it is imperative to have visibility. This software provides that visibility and helps with inner-department collaboration.
