Great for Organizing
What do you like best about the product?
It's great for organizing and we use it for all our things at work
What do you dislike about the product?
It can get a bit confusing when it comes to a board vs a project. I don't quite get why there is a difference.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tracking our project work.
Testing and collaboration for your new release
What do you like best about the product?
It creates a unique code for each issue logged and hence makes it easier to view updates on the issue by using the unique code
What do you dislike about the product?
The number of tabs could become frightening at time. Should include a short video explaining the functions
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were working on User Acceptance Testing for a regulatory release at our firm
A good management tool for testing.
What do you like best about the product?
The kanban board, scrum board and definitely the road map feature is stands out for me.
I have used kanban board a lot in my work and it helps to save a lot of time. It makes easy for the team members overall to always have a sight on the things that need to be fixed. Sometimes, issues with less priority are overlooked but not so with Kanban chart.
The custom filter feature is a great option for non-coding people. Its like using the common everyday English. And it also helps the freshers to get use to and understand how coding works.

What do you dislike about the product?
For me personally I don't like when there are too many people pitching in.
So I like that every team should not have more than 8-10 people. And you can always move around and look at other teams works and issue. In this way its easy to follow-up on everything and not getting delayed to perform some duties.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Its easy communication with other teams. Helps a lot during system and integration testing.
The process flow is very important to follow and it makes sure the flow is smooth and any hurdle in between can be taken care by simple communication within the system.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would definitely recommend JIRA. This was the first tool I was introduced to in 2013. And it has come a long way and improvement is great in these years. And on top of everything it is fun to manage things with JIRA and not a stressful activity.
A simple, clean way to track Tickets and User Stories
What do you like best about the product?
Jira has a simple and clean UI which allows for user-friendly creation and tracking of tickets. It allows anyone with access to create a ticket and provide the necessary contextual information, including attachments, due dates, and acceptance criteria. The tickets can then be prioritized, ingested, and elaborated upon until finally marked as complete.
What do you dislike about the product?
One of my main complaints is that Jira does not have a good responsive web display. While they do provide a mobile app, ideally a similar view would be available in the mobile web browser experience.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using Jira for both tracking of bug tickets and user story backlog prioritization.
Easy Collaboration Across Entperprise Networks
What do you like best about the product?
Working in a large enterprise can make it difficult (all the way to extremely difficult) to collaborate and coordinate project teams from other companies (partners, distributors, or other procurement organizations). Jira is a flexible and powerful tool that I've been able to use to successfully solve most of the issues above while collaborating with a software vendor to develop a series of in-house tools.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's a learning curve present in any project management tool. There's some assumed knowledge necessary to unpacking the power of Jira like SCRUM basics. But the reality is that you can get up and running with Jira pretty quickly to start collaborating.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're using JIRA to solve the problem of collaborating with a large project team outside of our enterprise network and tools. JIRA has allowed us to do this effectively and keep up with the progress of these outside project teams while building our tools.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Chose a small project (and possibly small product team) to test a JIRA implementation for organizing and guiding the work of the team. It's easy to run a thorough test to determine whether or not JIRA will be useful to you with a small time commitment.
Adds additional email capability
What do you like best about the product?
I like that JIRA eliminates emails and automates certain tasks. We track everything in JIRA sometimes we will deal with issues within the week, sometimes it will stay for a year.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don’t like that JIRA has a slow and unintuitive interface. It can be hard to quickly organize information, and we occasionally need additional excel trackers to help.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use JIRA as an issue tracker for various softwares and web technologies. It helps us to stay organized and manage change management techniques.
Great product
What do you like best about the product?
Management of jira tickets and bug reporting
What do you dislike about the product?
Custom reports should have more criteria

Capturing the process one task at a time
What do you like best about the product?
The task management feature is great. Either individually or as a group, all views are helpful. Track by the hour or the minute, you can track your time and account for the day in one place. managing others and watching the bottom line is really at-a-glance.
What do you dislike about the product?
not intuitive; no obvious contextual help;
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Project management: tracking sprints, sprint content, milestones and other goals are easily reached. Task management: quick assignment of tasks, duties, roles. Payroll validation: with a bit of customization, project time tracking and "burn" are more easily tracked.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure that it integrates completely with your accounting software; ours has required significant upgrades and improvements to make it. Make sure and test the integration before you rely on it. Our initial use as a time tracker ended with a few over-runs - our unfamiliarity, not a JIRA issue.
A perfect platform for an Agile Development environment (Plan, Track, Release)
What do you like best about the product?
Creation of user stories is an icing on the cake for a developer. JIRA helps to understand the nitty gritty and breaking down the complexity of a user story. Prioritizing the task and delivering it through sprints is a top notch feature. This tracking mechanism gives more visibility for the Managers and Scrum masters to discuss and address any issues along the way of development.
In short: JIRA helps to keep the delivery iterative and incremental.
In short: JIRA helps to keep the delivery iterative and incremental.
What do you dislike about the product?
- Reports though a fantastic feature, seems overwhelming sometimes.
- Creation of tasks and sub tasks is cumbersome.
- Even though the development tasks are completed, the user/developer has to always log in his/her timings periodically. This sometimes causes an issue with testers, since the AC defined is for a certain set of tasks, but the tester then tries to find issues post the development.
This , even though a new requirement, gets tracked as a bug. Which always has a negative impact on the burn down charts

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Maintaining a team's focus is a challenging task for any product development teams following Agile development. Bringing in a perception of transparency among the team helps the manager adhere to the standards of delivery and always keep track of what is being delivered.
The main business problem UpRaise helps address is by providing an agile performance management tool like jira that helps track development from the prologue to epilogue of delivery

Efficient Ticket Tracking
What do you like best about the product?
JIRA allows me to easily prioritize tickets and also integrates well with gitlab. The kanban view provides a good summary of all tasks and fits best with the agile process.
What do you dislike about the product?
Updating tickets can be cumbersome especially when you work on a lot of them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JIRA allowed easy tracking of bugs as well as new features providing a streamlined interface for developers to work on various projects efficiently.
