Advanced project management tool with complex UI
What do you like best about the product?
It has all the features needed for digital product development in big organizations. The price is fair, especially for the smaller teams
What do you dislike about the product?
It has extremely complex UI - whatever action takes one click in other project management softwares, in Jira it's usually 5

It let's us track the product development cycles
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Use only when absolutely necessary

Sometimes it's really slow and it's setup is too confusing, and that's a big point of improvement, it's not hard to setup and personalize, it's just confuse.

What do you dislike about the product?
It can be a little daunting to onboard initially. It still lacks first class scrum support which we have to hack around to accomplish.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing a project to track and manage what the team is doing and how each member of the team is doing on the tasks they have been assigned.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
great product for flexible project management
Great Bug Tracking Tool Ui/UX Deisgn
What do you like best about the product?
Once you learn the program based on your needs it quick to input QA testing issues and resolutions. We were able to add picture to each item we tracked as well as comments which allowed us to mimic the step by step instructions and arrive at the same issue in order to be able to resolve the cause of the issue. Once you're in the app it was easy to use and work with multiple people in the software at the same time, we have six to eight people using it at once.
What do you dislike about the product?
It seemed intimidating to learn initially, however, once I learned what specific features I needed, which were only a few, it was a great tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The startup company I designed for worked in the JIRA program to track Q/A testing of our social app. We were able to quickly add screenshots of app issues and/or error messages, details on how we got to that point, step by step instructions and possible outcomes or ways to improves it. Working on a cross-disciplinary team it was a user friendly program to communicate between us.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The JIRA software was quick to learn/be trained, easy to use, and most importantly functional. Overall I had a good experience tracking Ui/Ux bugs for the IOS 6 app we were developing at the time. We have 6-8 people using it at once inputting the bugs and it was nice to be able to quickly share screenshots of bug screens and add comments or specific instructions step-by-step on how we arrived at this particular screen.
Jira's Learning Curve Is Steep but Worth it
What do you like best about the product?
I like the user interface as it reminds me of somewhat of a social media layout where you can add comments and respond to the postings of bug reports or issues much like you would on Facebook.
What do you dislike about the product?
The learning curve for understanding the back-end management of getting it deployed onto a server can be somewhat expensive. Plenty of times I work in small teams and whether you're going for the self-hosted route or allow Atlassian to host for you, things can get pricey down the road.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Bug tracking is so much easier with JIRA. I used to call it Trello for product management since it has so many more options than task delegation.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Read a lot of the technical documentation if you're planning on doing self-hosted on your own server. It's also worth reading the forums as there is a lot of support from users who might be undergoing the same problem.
Great for teams!
What do you like best about the product?
I love that Jira can be used across teams in departments, making it easy to submit a ticket or project for someone else or switch the task to someone else even if it started in your department. It's a nice interface that makes it easy to keep track of where everyone's at in their work.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's quite a learning curve; I've been at my company for four months and still haven't quite gotten the hang of how everything works.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's easy to submit all of the details for bug tickets to our Ad Operations and Product teams, and general projects to people within and out of our departments, without needing to email and Slack trying to work out the kinks. Nice to be able to see everyone else's workload as well.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Wonderful for project and task management! Especially across teams.
Easy bug tracking for dummies.
What do you like best about the product?
It integrates well with Confluence for team collaboration on bugs and projects. This allows us to have automated checklists in Confluence for testing, customizable UI for external bug/project submission, lots of reports and metrics tracking and automated task reminders that can link back to our documentation database.
What do you dislike about the product?
First time user is a little intimidating, (non Dev) bug pages can be a bit overwhelming with the amount of data presented and there is not always an easy way to filter the page for just that data you are looking for.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Bug tracking on multiple software products each having multiple supported versions. this allows us to keep innovation on new hardware with new customers while improving the stability and functionality of existing software on legacy hardware for older clients.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Atlassian has several solid products that all integrate well together and allow integration to other products. If looking for a bare bones bug or project tracker there are a ton of options, if you are looking for an all in one solutions that play nice with others than Jira paired with Confluence is a great software to consider.

I have been in the field of software engineering since now almost 3 years and i am using JIRA now for a good amount of tie and i feel its the best software a company can use for maintaining issuing bugs and managing the project by the company because it gives me access to identify and solve the bugs amongst the developing team and to carry on the project management tasks like scheduling planning resource allocation.
