What do you like best about the product?
The tool is clear and simple user experience .

Project Templates
JIRA includes project templates which drastically cut down on planning time for sets of projects with similar scope.
You can integrate many tools/external software like:
Gantt
Salesforce
Bitbucket
Slack
Google Drive
OneDrive
Dropbox
Evernote
What do you dislike about the product?
Limitation in file size when a video or an heavy file is attached
Mobile app could be improved
not easy to develop personalizations
even too many features that are not required
Charging model can be a bit punishing when you're somewhere in between start-up and full enterprise size
It's probably a second choice compared to Trello which is better for managing structure projects
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Bug project management for external people and web agency
We found a good support for our agile development projects
Recommendations to others considering the product:
easy to setup and good solution for bug tracking
It helps my team and my company keep track of all the features and bugs we are working on, and is a powerful project planning and organizational tool.
Don't fall into the trap of choosing some project management software and realizing down the road that you have to get your IT team to pull data for you because the platform doesn't have the reporting you need. JIRA is not up to par in the realm of reporting.

Just another project management tool

What do you like best about the product?
Jira is a world renowned tool that is well established. It's famous.
What do you dislike about the product?
Like many other Enterprise grade operational tools, jira took access control to the extreme. As a lay user, I have minimal access to the product. Instead, what I get is a plethora of exception messages typically that I do not have access, or, an account manager needs to customize in order to unlock the full experience.

Feature packed, but maybe overkill

What do you like best about the product?
JIRA is filled with lots of bells and whistles. It can integrate with so many things. It can do so much. I like that it tracks things so well and it handles pretty much anything you throw at it.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's really complex. There are so many features. It's hard to scratch the surface. For 80% of my normal needs, something simpler would suffice.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tracking of software features, bugs.

What do you like best about the product?
That you can add documents and tag people and set deadlines. Essentially it's purpose.
What do you dislike about the product?
Aesthetically, it's not so pleasing. It seems very sterile. It doesn't allow for a bit more of flexibility when it comes to customization of the requests.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mostly adhoc requests or developing certain project types.

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to setup and to manage. It can grow with your team very easily. It can be extendible with plugins and add-ons and offers a lot of flexibility to adapt to your process.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have seen a degraded performance recently. Also, the new UI is not yet polished, it can be improved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing the work for different projects in a marketing agency. We use JIRA for software development and project management of other kind of projects.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
JIRA is a great tool for managing work. I personally think that we have improved our internal processes just by using the tool. It's great JIRA offer some predetermined configuration for the most common projects but also offers flexibility to adapt to our unique flavor.

What do you like best about the product?
Excellent for managing tickets, assigning to team members, creating Kanban boards, estimating and planning sprints, viewing live status of sprints. Really like the updated new look.
What do you dislike about the product?
Backlog can be hard to sort through but this is a very minor complaint.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Development Process Management.

Best Agile Tool So Far

What do you like best about the product?
It's fairly flexible, with the ability to create custom fields and labels.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's some restrictions for field types. For example, it's difficult to create additional rich text areas (multi-line) or time tracking fields outside of the default fields.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use JIRA to track user stories, bugs, and tasks for our development team. It tracks all history on teach ticket, so it's easy to see where issues change and who changed them. It's easy to communicate with business owners and clients using comments and attachments.

JIRA - Time Tracking Made Somewhat Easy

What do you like best about the product?
It is very beneficial to be able to see how my time is being spent across multiple projects, and collaborate with my supervisor to determine if that distribution of time should be different.
What do you dislike about the product?
The time tracking entry is somewhat annoying. After each hour entry, the entire time tracking updates itself unnecessarily. You should be able to enter time in all of the slots and then submit it all at once.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Time tracking. The benefit is being able to see how my time is spent and how my team members' time is spent.

What do you like best about the product?
JIRA provides increased flexibility and different ways a project can be maintained. JIRA is highly versatile.
What do you dislike about the product?
The pricing can be little lower in my opinion.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JIRA helps with bug tracking and is easier because of integration with Atlassian
