Good tool for agile management
What do you like best about the product?
Great online tool for managing agile sprints, backlog, etc. lots of built in functionality to support agile needs
What do you dislike about the product?
Lack of support. Online message boards are very techy and lack straightforward answers. Frustrating interface
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing agile processes
Most advanced project management tool
What do you like best about the product?
Great tool for agile development, project management and bug tracking. If you know the basics of agile you can start using it in minutes.
What do you dislike about the product?
No option to disable email notifications, and links from story description don't open in a new tab/window
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Project management and backlog tracking. People are not calling me anymore to see what's finished or what's left to do.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Read some support articles to get to know the terminology and try on real-life project that includes at least 3 people.
Powerfull tool for the work place
What do you like best about the product?
I like that I can track the progress of specific projects. I like that I can segment out parts of a massive project into very approachable and digestible parts. I like that I can create tickets and not issue them out until I am ready to send it. I love how it integrates well with other Atlassian products, like Confluence.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like that with tickets that involve other teams its not always easy to create and assign those tickets without the Administrator stepping in. Or creating multiple tickets.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Project creating, assigning, tracking & progress, communication with my team on and off-site. More then anything documentation and accountability is where we find JIRA is powerful for our business, long after people have come and gone, we can find records of why things happened.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I like all the integrations that have been going on with other software services, like with Roadmunk.
Great for being able to see what is going on
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to have the back and forth discussions within tickets/development. It also makes it easier to be able to see whereby the team are at in terms of using the system
What do you dislike about the product?
Its a case of you get out what you put in. Sometimes it can be a dunmping ground whereby the teams are not using it to its fullest capacity
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using it to enhance our development processes and see that if you use it in a way to be able to over teams develop in tandem
Recommendations to others considering the product:
You get out what you put in - The ability to be able to track and develop issues whilst at the same time giving valuable input to the issues you are facing. There does have to be a standard that you are happy with to actually use it
Very Clear
What do you like best about the product?
Columns of "to do" "in progress" and "done"
What do you dislike about the product?
No calendar view to see due dates, therefore you have to click on each individual task to see.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Project Management, productivity tracking between manager & myself
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Good for project management when you have sub tasks and such.
Multi functional platform
What do you like best about the product?
Very simple design, easy to add functions using html too if you are an admin
What do you dislike about the product?
The UI is a little basic, so do not expect to have a very nice designed form or layout
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Kira for our ticketing management and to also create incident pages for outages within the company
Nothing matches it's functionality... or pain
What do you like best about the product?
No matter how you want to customer Kanban or Scrum, JIRA can do it. It is also fully geared towards software development, keeping track of releases, components, and versions. I like how features such as versions, releases, etc are optional, so it is fairly easy to start simple with JIRA and grow into it.
What do you dislike about the product?
JIRA is beast to administer. I have been using for 5 years, and rarely find what I am looking for on the first try. You can configure just about anything.... except that the couple things that bug you, those are on their product roadmap for 2027, regardless of the 2968 votes the issues have. Sometimes it can be clunky and slow, but has been getting better.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For small or large teams, it fits nicely for Agile/Scrum/Kanban style project management, and issue tracking, as well as product backlog.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I have tried tonnes of PM tools. Despite JIRA's warts, it covers a lot of bases, and is flexible.
Fully featured with an overcome-able learning curve.
What do you like best about the product?
The robustness of issue tracking. They make it really easy to set up base dimensions and add your own as needed.
What do you dislike about the product?
To get the full benefit of Jira, you probably need to integrate with some other solutions (Confluence, for example).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing product developement - ability to quantify by issue/story/task/etc. has been extremely useful in roadmapping and handling competing priorities.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Jira should be the base of your bug tracking/issue management operation, and serve as the hub of integration for more complete toolsets for agile development.
Good Mangement Software..Somewhat Buggy
What do you like best about the product?
It’s easy to have nutilple boards, sprints and discussions going on at the same time.
It’s very cool how HipChat, JIRA and Confluence all work together.
It’s very cool how HipChat, JIRA and Confluence all work together.
What do you dislike about the product?
Many screens are not user friendly—you can’t end a sprint and begin a new one logically.
You also can’t see cards you were tagged in unless you’re in confluence.
You also can’t see cards you were tagged in unless you’re in confluence.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It we use JIRA to help determine how long an implementation will take and how long each section took.
We can see how individuals, processes and tasks improve by linking bugs, epics and stories together.

You can do literally anything
What do you like best about the product?
I love the prompts to add components, information, details, time, comments, etc. to the issue you're escalating.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be a little overwhelming when you first look at the dashboard. Sometimes my tickets get lost, as well, as I feel sometimes the search functions don't work super well (filters, etc.)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We solve bugs, IT requests, and feature requests that come through from our users.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Ask your coworkers how to use it best. It was ultra confusing for me. The how-to guides will really help you as well!
