Great Project Management Tool
What do you like best about the product?
Jira is nice because it allows for you to keep track of projects that are being completed and to assign subtasks to different people to ensure that the project gets done in an efficient and timely manner.
What do you dislike about the product?
The notification system could be better. It would be nice to get a notification by the software instead of waiting for an email
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Time and project management are the greatest benefits of Jira. It allows for you to breakdown projects in a way that allows for everyone to see what has to get done and also allows for everyone to be held accountable of the work that they need to do.

It is a solid choice for project management and features all the necessary requirements of a project management tool

What do you like best about the product?
If you are looking for tool to keep track of tasks Jira's Kanban board is what you are looking for. It helps to visualize what is going within service.
What do you dislike about the product?
Although Jira is great Kanban tool, it doesn't mean that it has all you ever wanted. Some other Kanban solutions allows to implement more advanced Kanban tables and I am missing that in Jira.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps me keep an eye on all ongoing tasks, and if I need be up to date I can easily set notification on every update to given task.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Jira will help organize a lot of things. You can share tickets with business to short the distance and you will better understand each other. Initial training may be required..

The interface links to Confluence, which the company also uses for organizing documents and creating a shared space.
What do you dislike about the product?
The tool is not immediately intuitive for users without a technical background.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It was a good way to track the development of projects and the tasks along the project. The benefits were making sure that people in different teams can still be aware of things going on in other teams.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
JIRA is a good tool for tracking development projects and bug fixes however it is not immediately intuitive or useful for projects that are not technical in nature. Content or marketing projects for example do not translate as well into these types of project tracking.

Jira has recently gone through an extensive redesign that makes the interface very fluid and easy to use!
What do you dislike about the product?
Since it is geared more toward developers, it can sometimes. Ot be as applicable to designers.

Its much easier to stay on track and calcukate our scrum velocity

Now is the time to give it a try! The redesign has helped me understand it considerably

Adding new tickets in JIRA is very straight-forward.

Each issue or task can be easily tracked on the progress and its latest status. Discussions on the issue or task can be kept in one place along with commits to address or fix the issue.

dashboard feature has lots of room for improvement. currently it has basic capabilities but based on case studies, more useful templates can be added as an example

I think JIRA has a lot of flexibility to use for many different types of teams not just agile.

Our JIRA instead tends to have some slow speeds at loading and lagging at times.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JIRA has helped to speed up the implementation of all our web projects and improved our sprint planning.

JIRA is a quality product that will help to streamline all your projects at your organization. It doesn't have to be used only by agile teams. It has so many flexible workflow options it can easily fit your entire organization.
