I am able to see clearly who has worked on the task and when.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is a bit tricky to get around the interface and I often get lost in which project am I working on.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Task management globally. With offices in different time zones, it is important to be able to see and manage the workload.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure the projects are set up in a very clear way otherwise it can be very confusing when using it within different departments.

Its convenient that you can assign an item to someone.
What do you dislike about the product?
If you are using it for simpler projects, then the interphase is very messy with a lot of unnecessary options.
Less is better.
Less is better.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With JIRA I am able to understand how each project is going in real time.
I can have a birds eye view and also go into detail on all of the projects happening in the organization at the same time.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
Very good tool for different teams. The UI could be improved, but is more clear than Trello or other options.
Highly effective task management with strong network effect
What do you like best about the product?
An industry standard platform recognized and adopted by multiple Agile focused companies makes this an easy tool to collaborate across companies with. It is very intuitive to follow through on team status updates as well as current states (via sprint board), and the recent UI refresh (Feb 2018) has helped provide a more polished feel (even if some features were pushed further below and hidden).
What do you dislike about the product?
Recent UI refresh has hurt us in terms of being able to find certain features (and now requires a lot more digging around).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
These business problems are being sollved with:
-Accountability on features and deliverables for project executions
-Tracking progress and milestones hit through epics and story completions and signoffs from clients
-Managing roadmaps on product side through steady plan

Recommendations to others considering the product:
Highly recommend the self-hosting solution vs. the web portal as that interface often bogs down through JIRA's own internal network delays.
A powerful, versatile agile task management and tracking solution
What do you like best about the product?
It's a very robust application and allows multiple teams across multiple product lines to collaborate quickly and efficiently, while ensuring everyone has the information they need to get their job done.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's a lot to discover in the application, so there's definitely a bit of a learning curve / "ramp-up" process before you'll be able to understand everything that's being offered. But once you get there, you'll wonder how you ever managed your teams and tasks without.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Quickly and easily assign tasks to specific development teams, and since the assignees can update their tasks, there's not nearly as many instances of managers having to ask "Hey, what's the status of project X?"
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Take the time to learn the ins & outs of the app and you'll be so happy you did! There's a lot being offered here.
Whatever you need Jira has a workflow and a board for it
What do you like best about the product?
Biggest strengths of Jira are: configuration options, board customization, workflow customization. Depending on the type of product you're developing or the methodology you work with Jira has the required flexibility to match your needs.
Jira offers standard Scrum and Kanban boards and workflow, but you can build your own board mixing the two of them, creating custom workflow with new status, using the JQL (Jira Query Language) to mix card from different projects. All of this gives you a total control of your workload, progress and delivery.

What do you dislike about the product?
The cloud suite sometimes suffers slow loading, so in terms of performance Jira could improve a lot. Another point that could be reviewed and improved could be the SORTING options: I find it a bit complex when you want to order your activities in a custom way: by ranking orders visually the tickets, but this bypass the priorities, so if you want to sort as you need sometimes you need to build your ordering by yourself complexifying your filter.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We run Services Delivery Roadmap in countries with Jira, with a full customized workflow and set of boards which gives a lot a complete overview of the scenarios for each service, region, step of the flow and so on.
Also I had the opportunity to build a board where I can have under control each activity in an unique view, divided in lane by importance.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
JQL and custom workflows are the more powerful tools to use within this suite. Use them.

JIRA - great at tracking issues and adjusting workflow to internal processes
