Powerful Tool
What do you like best about the product?
Fully customizable - it's as powerful as you want it to be and as simple at the same time. At nearly every software company I have worked for JIRA it the tool that keeps everything running. Without it, my projects would quickly lose organization and any hope of being delivered on time. The flexibility of JIRA means that I can track multiple types of projects in different ways, logging as much or as little information as I need to in order to get the job done.
What do you dislike about the product?
Custom reporting can be clunky and difficult to manage on larger projects. Specifically, trying to manage resource allocations or time spent on projects is difficult and frequently I find the reporting to be worthless. Searching on JIRA can frequently be cumbersome (why does search have to be so complicated?). Additionally, I wish there was more customization allowed with dashboards, i.e: please let me make them look prettier they are ugly and boring.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our primary use is product road mapping and development planning. We use Kanban boards to plan sprints as well as track all project deliverables as JIRA tickets linked to one epic for the project. Benefits are that everything is available to the team to see where things are and comments allow for ease of communication and asking questions related to each project and task.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you need to plan any form of software project - there really isn't a better option than JIRA. Creatives, developers and project managers will all benefit from using this tool.

What do you dislike about the product?
Look and feel comes to mind. I spent a lot of my time working on JIRA and I wish I could make it more lively.
I think a feature that I would like to addressed is the issue of duplication. In a big team, it is quite often a possibility for different QA's to raise same issues hence causing the duplication error. I wish there was a feature of auto-fill facility , something which we have in Stackoverflow or Jira Query writer.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I was working as a Scrum Master. Before JIRA, there was a very complex tool being used for team and project management. JIRA proved to be a very convenient transformation from that tool and made project-tracking and hence accountability much easier. The teams were much more motivated to account for time spent on tasks as it became easier to do and they could visualize whole team's effort through burn down charts for the sprint.
jira is suitable for all the stakeholder and project manager and easily found the track of records.
What do you like best about the product?
We can easily interact about a task.and get into the task for bug fixes and report it to the higher level. keeping our application to up to date and push it to our production server.
What do you dislike about the product?
we dislike because additional features like filter which automatically assign the ticket to assignee.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are better able to track our workloads and apply the appropriate resources to different projects as needed.
Great to track tasks and defects
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use and analytics via dashboards included
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing in particular other than improving filter performance
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing system and SW defects, tracking program action items, etc.
Task visibility tool for product development, not just software
What do you like best about the product?
Jira epics can be used to organize tasks for prototype product releases, not just for software.
What do you dislike about the product?
If you are running sprints, you need to clearly name them and disseminate this information to all team members who enter tickets.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For a product development, you can organize interim (risk burndown) prototype tasks into epics. The epic can contain cross-functional tasks, for hardware; software; mechanical; user interface; industrial design; test.
A great Issue Tracker/Project Management tool for all aspects of business
What do you like best about the product?
JIRA can be customized to almost any degree from the looks of it. I love the way we configure our workflows so that we can make sure each bug goes through all the necessary steps of coding, review, qa testing and deployment. In addition we can link it to the code we submit in BitBucket so it's easy to figure out where the code fix is up to.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it can be a little too overwhelming when customizing JIRA, but once you figure your way around it, it becomes easier.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JIRA helps us track new features, bugs and the status of entire release across 4 different products. Our PM team, QA team, dev team and release management team are all able to stay in sync about what is in a release, where it's up to and are we on track for our release date.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I highly recommend JIRA as a solid issue tracking and project management tool that all departments can work with.
