Jira Makes Task Management and Sprint Tracking Effortless

    Reviewed on Jun 12, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
The benefit of Jira for task management, and in tracking performance across different projects can't be ignored. With Scrum boards and Kanban boards available, visualising and ordering the backlog work becomes simple. What's a bonus too is that you're able to add workflows and have personalised dashboards for each team member, as well as be shown sprint summaries and burn-down charts to track each sprint's progress and a record card of each.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes, the interface feels slightly complicated for novice users. Creating workflows and configurations demands work and if it's not handled effectively, it may become too confusing. Simplified UI could make things easier for new comers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps to centralize task management, facilitates team collaboration, and offers excellent visibility on the project status. Therefore it is easy to monitor due dates, pinpoint obstacles and get the tasks done in due time.

Jira Makes Task Tracking and Team Progress Easy

    Reviewed on Jun 10, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
I most like how good Jira is for organizing tasks into their respective groups and visualizing the team progress. I use it on a daily basis to view my tickets and bugs, my sprints and how everyone else is doing in general. I found Jira useful as you could tailor the workflow, and dashboards, to suit your project.
What do you dislike about the product?
The interface itself can appear a little daunting at first glance, to those unaccustomed. All of this has to sink in, the positioning of the controls, for instance. It could take quite a while to grasp the intricate configurations, or workflows.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jira ensures tasks and sprint are always on a centralized platform which reduces the effort of following up on individual task with team members and overall ensures better team co-ordination and task delivery on time.

Great visibility and workflow tracking for sales onboarding, but room to improve

What do you like best about the product?
for my workflow, Jira has been a valuable tool for managing customer onboarding project , implementation request , sales operations initiative and collaboration with technical teams, while Jira is traditionally associated with software development , it has also helped our sales organization improved project tracking, accountability and communication across department, the biggest advantage of Jira is visibility it provides into task , project status and owenership, it allows sales, implementation , support and engineering teams to work from a shared system.. ensuring that customer related project and request are tracked effectively,. i regularly use Jira for customer onboarding tracking, implementation project coordination, feature request management, sales operations initiative, cross functional project collaboration , escalation tracking .the platform provides provides a structured and organized way to manage project, kanban boards, dashboards, and workfow tracking make it easy to understand project status and identify bottlenecks, feature i find useful include customer workflows, kanban and agile boards, tasks ownership tracking , project dashboards and automated notification, advanced search and filtering,. Jira integration effectively with tools used across sales and business operations . the platform performs reliably for project tracking , collaboration and reporting , even when managing multiple project and teams, Jira provides strong visibility into progress and tasks owenership.
What do you dislike about the product?
sometimes it can feel overly complex for business users who are not involved in technical project management on a daily basis, the platform offers extensive customization and functionality, which is powerful but it can also makes navigation and adoption more challenging for sales teams, i have also found that highly customized workflows can sometimes create additional administrative overhead, when multiple department use Jira differently, maintaining consistency across project and reports and become difficult, another challenge is that generating executive level reports often requires additional configuration or dashboards customization to present information in a way that is most useful for business clients,
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jira helps me to solve several challenges related to project visibility cross functional collaboration, tasks tracking and customer implementation mangement, before using Jira, coordinating activities between sales, implementations, support and engineering teams often relied on emails, spreadsheets and manual follow ups making it difficult to tracking progress and accountability,.it solves problems such as lack of visibility into project status and customer request, difficulty tracking tasks ownership and deadlines, communication gaps between sales and technical teams, delatys in customer onboarding and implementation projects. it has improves communication between sales, customer sales, customer success, support and engineering teams by providing a share workspace where updates discussions, and project status are accessible to all clients.

Robust Project Management with Some Complexity

    Reviewed on Jun 07, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
I like Jira's flexibility and visibility. The platform makes it easy to organize and track work through customizable Scrum and Kanban boards, which provide a clear view of project progress and team priorities. I appreciate the ability to customize workflows, issue types, and dashboards to match our team's specific processes. The reporting and analytics capabilities are standout features, with sprint reports, burndown charts, and dashboards helping us monitor progress, identify bottlenecks, and make data-driven decisions. Jira's integration with tools such as Confluence, GitHub, and Slack is extremely valuable because it keeps project management, documentation, development, and communication connected in one ecosystem. Overall, Jira provides strong transparency, collaboration, and project control, making it easier for teams to stay aligned and deliver work efficiently.
What do you dislike about the product?
While Jira is a powerful and highly customizable platform, there are a few areas that could be improved. The biggest challenge is its complexity, especially for new users. With so many features, settings, and configuration options available, the learning curve can be steep and it may take time for teams to become comfortable using it effectively. Performance can also be an issue in larger environments with many projects, custom fields, workflows, and automations. Boards, dashboards, and complex searches may occasionally load slowly. Additionally, while Jira's reporting tools are useful, creating highly customized reports often requires additional plugins or external tools. Another area for improvement is notification management. Users can sometimes receive a high volume of notifications, making it difficult to focus on the most important updates. Simplifying administration, improving performance at scale, and providing more intuitive reporting capabilities would make the overall experience even better.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Jira to manage projects, track tasks, and streamline Agile workflows. It centralizes project updates, reduces communication gaps, and enhances visibility. Jira's reporting tools help identify bottlenecks and track team performance, keeping us organized and focused on efficient project delivery.

    Efficient but Needs UI Improvement

    Reviewed on Jun 06, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate how Jira bifurcates issues of any current software development problem, helping us examine difficulties based on user stories. I also like the report-based feature, making it easy to view the burndown chart and user performance. As a senior developer, I use the burndown chart and velocity report to understand how the user story is performing. I enjoy the flexibility of Jira, especially the ability to add custom fields and customize the current sprint board. Switching to Jira was beneficial as it offers better reporting for both the business and development teams. The initial setup was quick and very easy for us, allowing us to set up a project without hassle.
What do you dislike about the product?
The UI of Jira can be improved a bit since it's just okish. There are so many options to go through when editing, which can be overwhelming. Sometimes Jira is a little laggy, especially when working on a slow internet connection, and it takes time to load when opening a user story.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Jira for project management, and it solves software development issues by bifurcating problems. It helps me track user story difficulties and view performance with reports like burn down charts, benefiting both the business and development teams with better reporting.

Automation-Driven Efficiency, But Setup Can Be Tricky

    Reviewed on Jun 05, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
I love the rules in Jira that provide automation, so I don't have to remember it. They help me with tasks that need to happen when certain other things occur, allowing me to not worry about it. It just works without me doing anything.
What do you dislike about the product?
The biggest improvement is to make releases global. Rather than specific to a project or space. It was kinda difficult. Jira is very robust, and so it's hard to understand it at first.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jira helps us track project schedules, know if we're behind, and plan accurately with velocity tracking. It provides dashboards for necessary reporting and automates things I often forget, making tasks easier.
