Collaborate seamlessly even during the pandemic

  • August 12, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The most delicate thing about Miro is that it allows your entire team members to collaborate effectively from anywhere. Furthermore, I enjoy the freedom and real-time user experience it provides, making it feel like we were doing this on a round table. It also ensures that the accomplishment is visible continuously and available to all the collaborators, regardless of location.
What do you dislike about the product?
Miro primarily focuses on better collaboration among the virtual team, so it has an inbuilt video chatting feature. However, it is quite limited in terms of the breadth of functionalities it provides, such as it does not have any option to record the session for later as a reference.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro enables us to schedule, coordinate, decide things, share ideas, strategize, and do a lot more with ease. We finally have a planning tool that our entire team can use together while working remotely during the COVID-19 pandemic.

A digital whiteboard where your entire team can work together

  • August 12, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
For me, Miro addresses my needs widely. Being an internet collaboration application, it is helpful for various virtual teamwork such as data analysis, conceptualization, creating customer journeys and user story maps, mind maps, user research, and a variety of other visually understandable projects. Also, it is possible to chat and share comments with collaborators in real-time.
What do you dislike about the product?
Collaborators who have never used Miro before may require some assistance navigating their way around the platform. Because Miro has many features, it does need some learning time to become familiar with them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro has become an excellent way for me to plan things, share them with team members, refine them and finalize them all online during this ongoing Pandemic situation, which is a huge benefit that I have realized from using it. It has also become an excellent way for me to collaborate with others without meeting in person, which is another huge benefit that I have realized from using Miro.

Fantastic tool for sharing design maps/trees with customers and team members

  • August 10, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The consultant plan is my favorite for working with my enterprise customers, and the number of tools at my fingertips is just right. The tools are not too detailed or robust where they're less efficient and you're spending too much time learning how to use them, but there are enough options to clearly (and decently graphically nice) share product visions/designs/maps/etc. I highly recommend Miro for anyone working in professional services, consulting, or freelance roles with business customers (especially the enterprise segment where everything has to be well-planned).
What do you dislike about the product?
I use mind mapping a lot for chat flow design, and there are times where I would like to add a new node on the same path *between* two existing nodes. This is not currently possible, which means I have to reconstruct a flow to make this happen. Graphically, I would like the option to individually change the colors of nodes within a mindmap.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Miro for quickly and effectively communicating complex chat flows (as an AI Conversation Designer) with enterprise customers. This has significantly reduced friction in the building process (as I was previously relying on spreadsheets or manually mapped slides) and has also lead to a significant reduction in design oversights (i.e. duplicative nodes).

The go-to collaboration tool for product teams

  • August 10, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Miro tends to be the perfect meeting place outside of specialized tools. For example, Figma is a design tool that also has some shared/collaborative features, but it doesn't address the broader audience of a team like Miro does. I specifically like pre-built shapes such as sticky-notes for making quick notes in group workshops and the freedom of an infinite canvas to move and organize everything.
What do you dislike about the product?
Although individual notes are often self-contained, when there's a singular block of text such as a research summary, it's not possible to collaboratively type/edit in the same text box at the same time. It's not too bad to take turns contributing to the block of text or create separate ones and combine them later, but I think an ideal tool would have some collaborative editing like a google doc.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Product development lifecycle stuff:
User research notes, synthesizing information, brainstorms, and workshops to generate ideas from several people, and then converging again to consolidate strong ideas.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I often recommend that people explore the features such as following another person's view while they're sharing in a meeting (higher resolution than screen share) and also get to know the comments feature and drawing connection lines from object to object. These few things tend to increase what you get out of it.

Miro aids online workshop facilitation and collaboration

  • August 10, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
During lockdown, the Miro board helps replace the usual workshops with ability to capture input from virtual attendees, ensuring all stakeholder perspectives are captured. Importantly, the ability to print the boards and extract comments as text means there is no transcription of workshop attendee input.
What do you dislike about the product?
Functionality around who can control, move items on a board. Also enhanced features around temporary closure of a board (say with a timer) while workshop participants are presenting. Sometimes attendees are distracted by the board and need to focus on presentations before capturing the next round of thoughts.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro has been great for capturing reviews of project designs, plans, reports in an online workshop setting. Paired with functionality like participant surveys through TEAMS, it is a very powerful collaboraiton tool.

Best Brainstorming and Organization Platform Out There

  • August 09, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love the flexibility of the tool. If you need a mind map, you can mind map. If you need to sticky-note brainstorm in bulk digitally, you can do that. If you need to combine both and work with a remote team to get work done, it's indispensable!
What do you dislike about the product?
You can't share a link to a board and have anonymous people collaborate or view it like on Google Docs. I was running a workshop and used it for the first time and didn't realize it required people to sign up in order to contribute. It really slowed down the energy of the workshop.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Content strategies, organization restructures, content planning, business development. So many things. It's replaced my whiteboard completely, even though I have a physical one. I love that you can have an ongoing board no kids can mess up or colleagues erase so they can use it for their next meeting. It allows ideas to breathe and be refined/built over time.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Try it out for free to see if your team likes it and will adopt it. You can get a ton of use and if you find you keep running into features you need, it's well worth the price.

You can plan, idea, map and collaborate with Miro

  • August 07, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Miro delivers seamless collaboration functionalities, which has been beneficial in allowing our remote team to conduct back and forth sessions with minimal effort. It can become a knowledge base for the product, design, and marketing teams to generate ideas and plan.
What do you dislike about the product?
The cost per extra user for the team collaboration is higher than the subscription because it is an additional charge and the subscription fee. In this case, Miro should introduce an affordable pricing plan for startups would be highly beneficial.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Previously we had a hard time creating visuals on Google docs or charts, and we tried various tools that were quite limited in terms of collaboration and other handy features. But now, after getting started with Miro, we feel good as we can collaborate in real-time and create varieties of concepts and designs in less time.

The product is what we had been waiting for years!

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
An incredible product for collaborative brainstorming, ideation, and conceptualization of anything you can imagine!
What do you dislike about the product?
There is no possibility to attach additional files (especially images) to the sticky cards, but I think this feature will be added in the future.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Analysis of concepts, decomposition of high-level problems, mind-mapping

Draw and share what you imagine with Miro

  • August 05, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Among all of its features, the mind map creation feature is the most appealing and valuable as it quickly lets me create entire maps for any idea or plan. Other than this, the maps are seamlessly sharable with other users, leading to better collaboration and productivity. Also, it has a feature to create multiple designs and ideas into a visually appealing format that is downloadable into various file formats.
What do you dislike about the product?
As this software has a breadth of features and functionalities, it can be tough to navigate for first-time users, so I think it needs to enhance its user experience.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
All in all, Miro is a remarkable tool for visual illustrations of ideas and concepts. It saves time and energy on finalizing any concepts or ideas as it allows seamless sharing and collaboration among team members working from anywhere remotely. Though its optimum navigation feels pretty complex and confusing, I hope it will make the overall user experience smooth in the coming days.

Miro for improved team productivity

  • August 05, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Miro has a rich set of templates with previews to get you started.
Once we were comfortable we could explore the template created by the user community.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it takes a while to find a mindmap on the canvas because it is so small. It may just be that we are new to Miro. There may be a way to tag or locate a diagram that we have not yet discovered.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our problem was collaborating as a team now that we will always be working remotely.
Miro has helped us:
- collaborate within a Zoom, Teams, or Skype session
- to focus on the task and not the tool
- improved brainstorming effort and team participation
- quickly resolve problems and
- easily develop new solutions
