Miro is our creative collaboration hero

What do you like best about the product?
I knew about Miro during the business incubation process for our startup, and during that process, we were able to draft a large number of mindmaps, concepts, thought techniques (including brainstorming), and strategies even though we were participating in the session virtually. In addition to using text and photos, this application allows us to draw on its canvas using a marker, much like we would if we were using a traditional whiteboard directly.
What do you dislike about the product?
Though it lets the user draw things, it is not on that nuanced perspective to fit designers' needs. It is also not available cross-platform; for instance, Linux users cannot access its desktop version. Additionally, its mobile version is almost useless in terms of usability due to its small screen size.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We can all work together on a single Miro digital whiteboard to brainstorm, create business procedures, and even talk in real-time as if we were in the same room. Its prebuilt templates have always made our work process efficient. But, Miro is sometimes vague due to its unnecessary features; they should improve their knowledge base and get started guide.

Seems limitless

What do you like best about the product?
The infinite nature of the boards - I love how you can add no end of detail and zooming in or out is much smoother than expected. We also love the way workshop teams can all add post-its to the same board at once and see what each other is doing. I realise Miro might not be the only application that does this, but it does it so well and without slowing things down; I'm slightly in awe.

we also like being able to use emojis and have lots of other material at our disposal
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes I struggle to select objects - it can feel like a hassle ungrouping and re-grouping and trying to pick one small thing between layers. I'm not sure how developers might side step this though, without spoiling functionality.

Also, we've not tried doing a live meeting just in Miro - we're a bit nervous about it and have always met in Zoom and then whoever is facilitating will share their Miro screen. That's partly because we don't quite understand how to invite non-contributing participants - we'll pay for a few extra seats so workshop team leaders can contribute but need a way to involve up to 30 view-only people for a couple of hours without buying separate seats for them all which is too expensive for us. I think I have just struggled to understand the rules here and would appreciate clarification.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We've been using it mainly to collaborate in ideation workshops. We'll set up a board with areas that we want to focus on and surround it with images, stats and other inspo materials. We'll allocate each workshop group a specific coloured pack of miro post-its then they'll post their ideas using them, so everyone can see at a glance which group has said what and which group has been the most participative. So in a world where we could no longer do this in person, it's been a great engagement tool.

The other main use case is explaining something to a client or to each other, Miro has beaten other online whiteboards for us because it's so easy to draw and post on it.

Wherever you go, you can find your team on Miro

What do you like best about the product?
We like how easily Miro enables our team to gather information and communicate on different creativity, planning, and business management-related tasks, all visually online from home or anywhere.
What do you dislike about the product?
Even though Miro describes itself as a drag-and-drop system, the actual editing process of the pages is complex, and the interfaces are tough to understand.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
During the worldwide pandemic COVID-19-induced crisis and lockdown, we had no choice but to close our physical office and operate remotely, where Miro proved to be quite helpful among our team, allowing us to contribute our regular business procedures in real-time. Being a customer relations office, the most beneficial thing with Miro is that we could create processes for customer acquisition, onboarding, and retention.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
As Miro offers a wide variety of collaborative and visual creations features, a team should figure out what they exactly need to leverage maximum benefit from Miro.

Miro has significantly saved our stationery

  • October 07, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I particularly appreciate its digital canvas that is nearly unlimited as opposed to a real whiteboard. Furthermore, it includes hundreds of prebuilt templates that save time and effort to construct one from the start when working on a real whiteboard.
What do you dislike about the product?
Having many features and functions combined with an inadequate knowledge base and onboarding procedure might make Miro exceedingly tricky for new users to get the system's full benefits.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The most significant benefit that we have realized from using Miro is that our entire team can collaborate virtually from anywhere at any time. It is even better than working on a physical whiteboard because it allows us to illustrate ideas, concepts, and processes while making necessary changes on the fly.

Making Remote Workshops a Possibility

  • October 06, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I find Miro exceptionally easy to use, and there are so many use cases. Initially, I started using Miro purely as a whiteboard tool (the Skype and Teams option was rubbish), and this provided a great user experience to both colleagues and clients. I then found more and more use cases for Miro, such as mind mapping and wireframing.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing springs to mind as Miro does everything that I need. Or at least expect from the tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The biggest challenge was "How do we run remote workshops with our clients?". We use Microsoft Teams, and when we investigated the whiteboard for Teams (Skype), it was really sub-standard. We've now made Miro the standard for facilitating remote workshops. Colleagues and clients love it!

Very convenient and intuitive way to work with remote teams

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like simplicity and keeping advanced (often unnecessary) features out of the sight, so UX is really good. I have used Miro for team workshops for quite many years and users who are new to Miro, grasp it very quickly so we don't waste time to learn how to use the tool. Also, the pricing level is reasonable.
What do you dislike about the product?
Permissions management is far too complicated. Some features should be a bit improved, like the voting - after voting you can see the votes for a fixed period of time and after closing voting results, they disappear. I would like to keep them visible on the stickies as long as needed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use it for any visualization, for working together with remote teams, including retrospective meetings, for teaching students etc. Sharing a board with the guests who are not forced to log in is an extremely valuable feature. Quite often I find something useful from Miroverse which contains a comprehensive amount of templates and it grows together with a community.

I enjoy using Miro for online collaboration & love its short learning curve for diff stakeholders

  • October 05, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
My favorite pars about Miro is that you can colloborate with various stakeholders with different levels of knowlesge about design tools. Miro has such a short learning curve that it makes it easy for others to learn. I also like Miro is integrated with so much other applications (figma, sketch...) so I can insert files easily.
What do you dislike about the product?
The small bugs here & there. For example, when I make everyone follow me to a specific spot on the board, I don't have a way to undo that & they're semi-stuck with my views until they actively break away from it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use to document many of my design processes & share & present with my team. Also that we can collaborate on Miro boards together. In fact I hosted a week-long virtual workshop using Miro.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Look At Templates -- I used to think it's super hidden, but once I discovered where it's located I found it extremely useful!

    Information Technology and Services

the most powerfull tool for remote working and the project management

  • October 05, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It's a fantastic software with a multitude of functionalities, from video conférences to code implementation. The possibilities are unlimited for the people who can understand Miro.
I have been using it since 2019 as a free user; now that I am launching my Start-up, it's time to change my license for the small team.

As an Agil or Scrum master, I have been identifying the miro potential immediately, just with the multiuser board and the introductory notes, schemas. Flexibility is the important word, and in those uncertain times that we are all facing right now, there is nothing alike on the market.

I am very thankful to the miro team for the possibility of holding an unrestricted license without any time limit, and it's a pleasure to write this review.
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn't any wrong side in Miro, but it's asking a lot of skills to handle it perfectly. It needs time and practice to be an expert, that's all.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
First of all, it's helping me to build all kinds of projects and to get a clear overview of the working advancement after I can see very quickly who is actively working by commenting and adding ideas.
I am also winning a lot of time with all the pre-build items, and it's effortless to personalize them to my use. The visualization of Internet links is such a great asset, and they are plenty of other aspects that I am still discovering. The last thing that I would like to tell about Miro is about all the tutorials available. It's impossible to get lost; every agile manager should get a look at this Marvel. The daily meeting and other agile tasks are straightforward, making the workflow more accurate even with the remote working issues.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's the best tool for all kinds of project management; there isn't any doubt. All the great companies are using it!

Just in love

What do you like best about the product?
The flexibility of use. I Feel like Miro allows me to turn the canvas of chaos that is my brain into something digestable by others in a super collaborative manner. It's the first product I've found that really allows me to work how I want to work. I'm totally sold
What do you dislike about the product?
Very little to be honest. One of the main challenges I have is when inserting items they insert really tiny, which is more annoying than a blocker
It's challenging when other partipants move boards around I've created, that takes some time to sort out
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Collaboration: This just allows things to take place so much more effectively than other tools i've used
Workshopping; MIRO provides a great platform for collaboraitve ideation
Planning: I use MIRO now for everything from discovery planning to my to do list

Best Digital Whiteboard You Can Explore

  • September 30, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Miro is a feature-rich tool that is quite handy to use. It contains a blend of flexibility and creativity, which ensures that there is always the most significant amount of room for ideas to be populated, validated, and properly arranged. Also, its premium plan allows real-time team collaboration and communication.
What do you dislike about the product?
The most notable complaint with Miro is its small knowledge base, which makes it difficult for first-time users to use and explore this powerful tool efficiently. Furthermore, exporting necessitates capturing a frame at each step and does not allow for the use of a translucent backdrop.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Whenever we need to plan or envision anything, we log onto Miro and work as if we were in a physical office with colleagues. As a result, one of the most significant benefits we have seen since joining Miro is the ability to conceive, develop, and validate a plethora of ideas and concepts inside a team without restriction.
