A design thinker's favorite tool

  • June 11, 2024

What do you like best about the product?
Working across devices synchronously with intuitive controls for any hardware.
Staying stable and performing well as the number of objects on a board balloons.
Having a dedicated app, but not pressuring users to open things with the app instead. (excuse you, Reddit >.>)
What do you dislike about the product?
Occasionally, guests struggle to get into boards they're invited to view. I think the way they're onboarded makes it confusing as to whether you require an account or not (you don't, but it tries to get you to create an account)
It is not easy to translate board content between languages! You'd have to copy/paste individually as far as I can tell. I would love more seamless in-app translation for my global team.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm designing an indie video game. Miro is my second brain, and beyond that, it helps me communicate everything with the rest of the team. If it stopped there it would just be a great notetaking and presentation tool. But it's collaborative, so it's also my team's second brain, and we can quickly reach consensus with this. "Virtual whiteboard" expresses most of the function and it does what you want very well.

What do you like best about the product?
I love being able to store quickly all information on a spot and use the same tool to generate presentation.
It is a great way to do online workshops to brainstorm on many topics.
What do you dislike about the product?
The Mindmap is sometime difficult to handle.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is easy and quick to format things in Niro, it saves me a lot of time on finding information.

Great, easy to use platform for collaboration

What do you like best about the product?
It is extremely rare that one software is universally liked across a company and Miro is one of them. It is our go to place for collaboration and it is almost effortless, making it really easy to move projects forward. The options and capabilities are almost limitless.
What do you dislike about the product?
I can't really think of any downsides. Occasionally, they change features in way that we wouldn't have but it's always minor.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is the one place that most of the project information is easily accessible and getting input from everyone on the team is so simple.

A perfect tool for working with clients through visually supported individual sessions

  • June 11, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Ease of generating boards, presentations, and sharing materials for collaborating people regardless of their location and their level of competence in using cloud solutions. Possibility of both real-time and asynchronous work. Great visualization that facilitates understanding of conditions, processes, effects, causes and allows for creative work. Good level of data stability and security. Continuous updates and introduction of new functions.
What do you dislike about the product?
Working in many languages, e.g. Polish and automatic translation into other less available languages. More automatic graphics processing functions would be useful (currently there is only the transformation of the background to transparent). A few color correction functions and the removal of subtitles in different languages or their translation would be useful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Supporting customers' understanding of complex content and providing the possibility of corrections in real time as well as asynchronously when the customer has time for it. In addition, it can efficiently correct misunderstandings regarding technical details that require special attention. In addition, offering further services to clients and managing knowledge and key competences of clients.

What do you like best about the product?
We used Miro with colleagues at a previous job. An excellent platform, it was used to build mental maps, design processes, develop products, etc. In terms of functionality, there is nothing supernatural here, especially since now they have created a bunch of analogues that are in no way inferior to Miro. The platform works stably and does not stall even on large circuits. At the same time, the service has always been developing, all errors are quickly fixed, and the opinions of users are listened to.
What do you dislike about the product?
I can attache a rather "small size" files.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use the whiteboard to brainstorm, draw road maps, etc. when working on projects. The tool is very simple, there is an endless canvas on which you add the necessary elements.

Fantastic platform for product design

  • June 11, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Miro is a fantastic platform for product design. Two things make it great: it's very easy to learn to use, and it makes it extremely easy to collaborate with others. I'm a UX desogmer amd o've been using Miro for a couple years for brainstorming sessions, creating user journeys and workflows, information architecture, capturing requirements, and organizing data from user research studies.
What do you dislike about the product?
One thing I don't like about Miro is the need to zoom in and out frequently. You often need to zoom out to arrange things on a board, but when you do you can't read the text on each individual items, so you need so zoom back in. I wish you could over over an item and get a pop-up showing the text on that item.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It provides an easy to use collaborative workspace, the virtual equivalent of a project "war room".

What do you like best about the product?
The freedom of being able to plan and brainstorm with no drawbacks.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not being able to own multiple boards on a free account.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro solves my planning problems as well as group collaborations with communication being very clear amongst peers.

One of the best collaboration boards and with a pretty powerful trial too!

What do you like best about the product?
The different tools and the unlimited number of objects you can paste or upload into your board is amazing. I've used Miro to do brainstorming with my colleagues and it's always been a fun time seeing their name's on the cursors.

The available templates are also quite useful. In terms of user acceptance, I mainly had to do a 20 minute demonstration with my users and they were pretty much set to use it. We were also using it inside of our team for think tanks and ice-breakers. I use Miro pretty much daily, personally. And would definitely recommend it to others.
What do you dislike about the product?
As I've used other similar tools, they had options to put things into 'folders' inside of a board.
This allows you to basically create a complete storyboarding experience. So in that folder, you can have a mood board, character introductions, or project timelines as well as log books in terms of updates and feedback.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The visual aspect of certain processes as well as just getting ideas down. All those are very handy!

    Information Technology and Services

Easy to use

What do you like best about the product?
There are a lot of templates available on Miro, which is useful when I am trying to brainstorm things. There are also a lot of shapes and things like which provides a lot of flexibility. Miro is also great for collaboration with teammates.
What do you dislike about the product?
Can't really think of anything I dislike about Miro at the moment.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We do a lot of collaborative work, so we often hop on a call and brainstorm ideas on Miro. The ability to attach the writer's name on a post-it note and the comment function is really useful. Another useful thing is the timer. We sometimes have issues with meetings running out of time, so having this timer helps ensure we are on time.
