My go to for all aspects of my product owner role

  • August 22, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Easily switch between high-level strawman design down to detail spec and specific detail. It is the cornerstone of all aspects of my product design work.
I have transitioned to use this for all presentations and collaboration.
What do you dislike about the product?
Cloud-based.
I am connected for most of my work day, but with frequent travel, I miss the ability to use my air time to keep working. The only winner here is Netflix.....
I would love the ability, even for a sub-set of the functions, to continue working when offline.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
easeof use and collaboration.

What do you dislike about the product?
When multiple tabs are open, unused boards sometimes freeze.

Visualizing ideas, displaying roadmaps

Miro is an excellent collaboration and organization tool

  • August 22, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I use Miro every day to do my work. Whether that is facilitating workshops, organizing tasks and to do lists with my colleagues, or synthesizing research, Miro is a fantastic and enjoyable tool to use for collaboration, design, and research. There are many great features such as the timer, dot voting, comments, stickies that make it both functional and fun.
What do you dislike about the product?
No one tool is perfect and there are certain customizations we would like such as integrating more songs with the timer.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Facilitating workshops in a remote setting, taking our research findings and turning them into insights, organizing tasks and plans.

Good

What do you like best about the product?
Quick and collaborative chart design, a fairly good toolset for moodboarding and building PDF decks.
What do you dislike about the product?
A few too many hurdles for sharing boards, ideally more support for pre-viz and design tools would be good. Way too expensive per-seat for one-off projects on a small team.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Proposal deck building, scheduling, planning, mood boarding.

Facilitation and collaboration made easy!

What do you like best about the product?
It provides a unified workspace for collaboration, with support for multitudes of artifacts required in an Agile working environment. What is particularly helpful is the use of AI in managing and enhancing content during workshops.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not necessarily a direct shortcoming but more so of Microsft Office platforms not supporting the embedding of Miro boards in its environments.
One downside is the non-intuitive navigation which new users require training on.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to directly create artifacts in an online environment without having to transfer it from a manual format after an in-person workshop or event.
Being able do document processes collaboratively in real time without having to use post-it notes.
Being able to work in a single workspace withoput having to switch between different applications significantly improves productivity.

What do you dislike about the product?
Not much comes ot mind. I haven't found a use case that it doesn't work for.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's our primary tool for collaboration for our remote team.

I love Miró and use it for absolutely everything!

What do you like best about the product?
What I like most about Miro is that there are no limits and it’s a very dynamic tool. At first, I started using it for the product discovery process. Then I realized that I could use Miro to facilitate meetings, conduct team activities, create presentations, and consolidate all my daily work into one tool, as it has a wide range of templates that are very useful
What do you dislike about the product?
What I like least about Miro is the management of boards and the fact that you can only have one level of grouping (folders). I would like to be able to have folders within folders.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro solves the possibility of working collaboratively all in one place and is very dynamic. Everyone can adapt its use to their needs.

Miro is great for creative collaboration! There are room for improvements!

What do you like best about the product?
Miro is a necessary tool in the creative industry to collaborate, ideate, review, and share ideas/work. Especially in a post-covid world where remote/hybrid working is very typical. Miro is an everyday-use tool and has been essential in finding the right solution to complex problems.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are few things I dislike about miro, but my colleagues and I can all agree that one BIG feature miro could benefit from is the ability to upload video i.e. mp4 files. Gifs work fine, but many times it requires an extra step to trim videos to their essential important bits then export to GIF (also at the cost of quality). This would also help catching up to immediate miro competitors i.e. Figma. At my job, we use both but I definitely have an affinity for Miro over Figma because of how seasy it is to use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
At my job we very regurlaly deal with vcomplex brand and identity problems that impact businesses. Miro helps to map out problems, review work/potential solutions and identify paths to success in a clear, easy-to-use, collaborative way.

Great collaborative tool

What do you like best about the product?
Usability: It is very easy and intutive to use. It also makes it easier to collaborate with people.
What do you dislike about the product?
No way to save custom templates: I find it inconvenient that I cannot create and save my custom templates for reuse, limiting the ability to standardize processes within the team.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps me visualise my ideas. It also makes it easier to collaborate with other team members and receive feedback.

Miro has been nothing but an extremely valuable tool in my role as an Agile Business Analyst

What do you like best about the product?
User friendliness and Templates just solves a lot of problems for me. The collaborative power is mind blowing and most times it just present a single source of truth for my analysis, without having to share different documentations around.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have been using Miro board for over 4years now, starting from using it as a post graduate student in the Uni and now that I am working on different transformation projects, I have no single thing I can point out as a negative about Miro. A suggestion will be the availability of more templates.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Disparate documents from project outputs are now consolidated on one single intuitive view
