I'm a test automation engineer

  • June 03, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We use it for retrospectives and also sometimes use case diagrams. It's user-friendly. You can follow moderators easily.
What do you dislike about the product?
If you want to see the big picture, you need to reduce the zoom, which means you can't read everything at once.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
There are sticky notes where we can add our ideas easily and effectively during the retrospective. We can continue by adding a monopoly in the Miro board. Frankly, it offers many opportunities, it can gather people working remotely under a single platform, and it is a platform that allows us to have fun, solving and talking about our problems.

Convenient way for visualising and working toghether with colleagues

  • June 03, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It is simple, yet offers a complete way to show progress/status updates/planning/ideas with colleagues. Gives a nice overview. Understanable for all colleagues. We often use it to review projects, where we use it as a tool to collect feedback from all teammembers and it is just easy to do.
What do you dislike about the product?
sometimes I get a little lost on the boards. For example when the board is big and you are really zoomed-in (and thus missing things/context), but this isn't usually a big deal, as the creater of the board usually explains where in the board to find/do what.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
visualizing project management goals/steps.
bringing teammebers together
one board for sharing thoughts/ideas

This is the way of visually collaborating

  • June 03, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Miro is very flexible and has tons of options and integrations. You can do almost everything you can image with it and you can do it very easily without having a lot of technical knowlegde.

Plus, if a feature or component is not entirely working as expected, chances are it will be improved of the upcoming months. If you watch closely you can see how Miro improves itself over time.

It's every easy to integrate tools like Jira in different ways and add additional layers of collaboration jira with the use of Miro's features
What do you dislike about the product?
It's not really a dislike, but areas of improvement. Sometimes, like with one of the latest features on importing and generating org-charts, it is missing minor options that could have made life a bit more easier.

In this specific case, you can import a csv to generate an org chart, but you cannot update that org chart with the same (but updated) csv. It just redraws the entire chart, including override coloring that you mind have added.

Minor things..

When you have a big board with a lot of components, it can become slow or slow down you workstation
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro solves a couple of things:
1. Miro is able to make things visually more clear. For example using the jira integration, you can show dependencies in a very easy way between jira cards. Using different colors for the types of dependencies. This makes it possible to view relations between pieces of work in a glance
2. It's also so flexible that you can just start without having a certain format in mind, just like with a whiteboard. You just start adding components and it will evolve over time. The benefit compared to a physical whiteboard is that you can easily share this or use it remotely.

Great tool for visual thinking and workshop facilitation

  • June 03, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Miro let's you collaborate with your peers to co-create and reflect on any issue imaginable. It has a lot of different resources and tools that adapt to hundreds of use cases. It is intuitive and agile, and its minimalistic design lets you focus on your ideas.
What do you dislike about the product?
First time users usually feel overwhelmed and distracted, specially when the use involves dragging items and writing on post-its. I would also improve the classification of Miro boards, as it can be sometimes difficult to find and sort your boards (specially those that have been shared with you)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It lets me collaborate and co-create with my peers in a visual and agile way. Also, it brings the benefits of in person workshops to the virtual domain, which facilitates collaboration with people from around the territory. All these things help us engaging with different stakeholders.

  • May 31, 2024
  • Review provided by PeerSpot

What is our primary use case?

I use Miro for creating wireframes and prototypes, which are my main tasks. I also use it for creating roadmaps and product improvements. Additionally, we use it for product investigation and creating live streams.

How has it helped my organization?

Miro has been helpful as a flexible solution. It provides a space where I can organize my thoughts about the features and how I work. It allows me to put all my ideas in one place.

What is most valuable?

Miro's flexibility is a main feature. It provides boards where I can put whatever is needed without limits. It also includes libraries for creating various objects, flows, wireframes, and prototypes.

What needs improvement?

The text customization inside objects needs some enhancement, especially for the text written in rectangle shapes.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using Miro for two years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

I haven't faced any problems with stability or connectivity issues while using Miro.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

Miro is scalable, especially with the paid version, which provides more features and capabilities for team integration and collaboration.

How are customer service and support?

I have not yet consulted technical support for Miro.

How was the initial setup?

The setup is very easy.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

I'm currently using the free version of Miro, which is sufficient for our current needs at a new startup.

What other advice do I have?

Due to the flexibility and other benefits I've mentioned, I would recommend using Miro to others.
