Beta software that constantly breaks without warning.
What do you like best about the product?
Top-level support techs are responsive and great - but not even they can fix the bugs that I can find or present. They did a serious amount of bug tracking and a great job following up with me usually until the end. They have so much promise and so many great IDEAS but the features never work and their programmers can't seem to fix simple problems quickly if at all - but they do manage to break a lot with updates.
What do you dislike about the product?
They promised a lot of features, all of which never worked correctly, required almost 8 months to get working, and even once we had things working - some update happened on their back end of things and broke badge release for all of our Windows clients. Their response was to uninstall the new printer logic client from every workstation and reinstall an older version - but they do not have a way to automate this or "roll back" to a previous client. Google Sync could not pull our groups. AD sync could not work with Chromebooks. iOS app will rejuvenate old print jobs that have already been released and deleted months later. Identity linking was required (and an extra cost) to tie our Google and AD groups together, but then searching for users was impossible since you can only search by the link ID and not the user's name or email anymore. Off-network printing never worked and support's low-tier techs dropped the ball and we never managed to address that bug. Email printing did work briefly but stopped working after some SaaS updates we didn't ask for or want. But honestly not being able to just release our print jobs with a badge and have the badge information populate from ANY source (google, AD, etc.) was about a six-month process and TONS of my own time troubleshooting for them and with them on the phone. The final straw was their promise that the CPA (an app that runs on your big MFP units) would be compatible with any Sharp running OSA 5 or higher and Lexmarks with a specific version or higher. After we received our new print fleet - we could not get the CPA app to install on our newest big Sharp printers which made all the work to get the badges working on our old print fleet pointless since now that our badges would sync from Google, we couldn't use them.
I really like the premise and idea that PrinterLogic has, but we finally set up a PaperCut trial, and had our systems up and running after 3-4 days, badges syncing, software deployed to printers, and all our users migrated from PrinterLogic to PaperCut.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have given up waiting on PrinterLogic's tech support to fix issues that should not have been an issue in a non-beta product. Their software is massively buggy - confusing to even them for troubleshooting, and even thought they have our data in house, and have procedures to get granted access, we do not control when and what happens to our data so changes they make for other customers affect our account and mess things up on a global scale.
Printer Logic is rapidly becoming the best option for enterprise printer management.
What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about Printer Logic is that you are no longer bound to cumbersome print servers and clunky Windows "add printer" interfaces. Printer Logic makes it easy for Administrators and Users to manage their printer fleet and easily add printers to workstations.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only real issue with Printer Logic is that it is taking time to catch up with other products offered. This is more of an impatience on my part, and less of a problem with Printer Logic as they *are* rapidly adding features to be one of the best offerings in the printing space. Once they add a few things, they will not only match other available products but will likely have a better and less complex interface for administrators and users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Printer Logic has always taken my suggestions over the past several years, and I have seen those become part of the product. They listen to their customers and take their needs to heart.
An absolute must if you have end users that print
What do you like best about the product?
The product allows our end-users to install printer drivers for any printer they have access to without IT intervention.
What do you dislike about the product?
The location of the installation package buries itself in the taskbar apps around the TIme. It is sometimes confusing for end users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Installation of printer drivers by end-users instead of IT staff
Simplifies the Nightmare of Print Servers
What do you like best about the product?
A central point of management for print queues without the additional overhead of print queues. It also allows for a "managed" direct IP printing to eliminate the headache of stuck queues.
What do you dislike about the product?
Interface is not the most intuitive. It can be difficult to load drivers based on different platforms (MacOS). Printers can be somewhat difficult to find in the admin console if you don't know exactly where and how to look.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We had reached End of Life for our monolithic print server and the effort of migrating queues, permissions, mappings was rather burdensome. With the implementation of printer logic it allowed for a phased migration and speed up decomission of the EoL Print Server.
Easiest way to deploy and manage printers
What do you like best about the product?
Easy printer driver uploads, printer mapping, and deployment via small client install on endpoints.
Great customer service support.
Great pricing for EDU environments.

Great pricing for EDU environments.
What do you dislike about the product?
50 printer limit with additional costs to purchase more licensing in packs of 25.
Support for plotters is limited, although I understand the complexities of plotters is it's own beast.
Support for plotters is limited, although I understand the complexities of plotters is it's own beast.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Allows end users to self-install printers from an easy to configure printer portal with floor maps. Printer install calls were one of the most common calls helpdesk would get. Now they never get them at all! Especially great for large lab environments where you can just tell the print client to auto-deploy a given printer or set of printers without needing to visit each station.
Global print solution
What do you like best about the product?
When we first signed up with Printerlogic, we were able to reduce our Physical Print Servers to zero. That is a savings of well over tens of thousands of dollars.
What do you dislike about the product?
The Mobile print solution needs to be better, but it's getting there.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mobile print solution. It will give our users the ability to print from their phones and tablets easier than ever.
Printers Simplified
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of deployment and configuration for our entire fleet of printers. It is very simple for the average user to add a printer quickly. The metrics make it possible for me to see how our printers are being utilized.
What do you dislike about the product?
So far, nothing! The product has done what I expected and I am looking forward to more improvements like being able to set quotas for people across our printers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I needed to get rid of my local printer server and standardize the drivers my users had on their devices. I needed to be able to make some printers available to only a few people, selectively
User friendly printer mapping!
What do you like best about the product?
For me, the best part of PrinterLogic is that our customer base no longer has to call the Help Desk, who in turn contacts Desktop Support, in order to map a printer.
What do you dislike about the product?
I miss a reporting feature that allows you to poll a printer, and see everyone who has that printer mapped to their system. I think that would be a great feature to add.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The biggest problem that PrinterLogic provided a solution for is the time that was previously spent by the customer, our Help Desk, and Desktop Support in getting a printer mapped for an End-User.
They are able to do it t hemselves!
They are able to do it t hemselves!
It was very easy to implement. The one time I needed support, they were very helpful.
What do you like best about the product?
We recently changed our printers to different models across all of our sites. After updating the drivers and IP information, the transition was smooth, and most users never noticed a change.
What do you dislike about the product?
We had a previous MSP that managed our printers. They also used PrinterLogic. After we separated from that MSP, and implemented our own setup for PrinterLogic, There were a few issues uninstalling the old client and installing the new. After we developed scripts for that purpose, it was no longer a problem.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Prior to implementing PrinterLogic, we attempted to use Windows server print management. However, we had inconsistent results. I had also used PrinterLogic in a previous company and was impressed with it. I "sold" the expense vs. benefit of printer logic to upper management and am so glad I did. It's been a lifesaver.
Application is great for admins and end users
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to manage our printers and easy for end users to access / install those printers.
What do you dislike about the product?
New VA was a challenge to setup and deploy
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Solving easy printer information deploys after printer changes (eg IP addresses, drivers)
