Printing without PrinterLogic seems impossible now

  • January 09, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It literally just works. You go through the demo thinking, "Yah, this seems good, but what's the catch?". There is no catch. Setup is a snap. Configuration is a snap. The hardest part was getting users to understand that literally nothing on their end is changing other than some queue names.

Not that we will, but I swear I will ban printing in its enterty in my org before I go back to using print servers.

Setup and configuration was simple and deploying printers to our existing environment/swapping users over to PrinterLogic managed printers was just a matter of communication.

Our traveling users really like the self service portal for when they're at non-home office locations. They can just select a printer and go without having to contact the Help Desk.

Not having to deal with PrinterNightmare issues or putzing around with per-impression cloud printing bills is makes our exe admins very happy. No more frustrated users complaining t them, and no massive bills per month either caused by over printing or wasted impressions not being used.
What do you dislike about the product?
We haven't really experianced any downsides yet. I guess in the hypothetical realm, it is a cloud service so connectivity issues could make it so you can't access your mgmt portal.

It hasn't happened to us, but I could see that.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's allowed us to get rid of print servers. It also allows us to quickly deploy/change printers without messing around with all the crap Microsoft Print Services entails. Especially post-PrinterNightmare.

Bring Peace to your Printer Deployment

  • November 16, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The fact that I can update printer configurations from a web console anywhere and push it out to team members is a game changer. We went from constantly figuring out why our Printer Server woudlnd't play ball, to giving customers the power to install their own printers the first time and every time.
What do you dislike about the product?
The cost can be a little high depending on the number of devices, but not when you compare technician hours to resolve printer issues or the time spent deploying and updating for individuals in your company.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can install printers for our team members no matter where they are. I can update a printer configuration no matter where I am.

Dynamic installs via subnet assignment has been a big help to add/remove printers based on location of users. Users can also
What do you dislike about the product?
I'd like to see driver compatibility with versions other than Type-3 drivers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
PrinterLogic has enable users to self install any printer they have access to on floorplan maps we can upload and update.

Makes printer administration effortless

  • November 09, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I can't think of any downside on a technical level. PL takes all the pain points of printer administration and they give you a great big "EASY" button.

- Building additional printers in the organization is easy
- Deploying printers to as few or as many users or computers is easy
- Integration into the environment is quick, easy, and completely painless. Migrating to PL is essentially automated
What do you dislike about the product?
The price was our only initial barrier to entry.

- Reporting could be better and more robust
- Bulk management tools could be better
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
- Ease of deployment
- End user self-service
- Centralized management
- Troubleshooting stuck queues

The self-service portal really helps when new technology is deployed and teachers need to print.
What do you dislike about the product?
Haven't really found an unuseful feature.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ability for the user to install printer without technology department assistance is awesome.

Goodbye Print Servers

  • November 03, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We decided to try PrinterLogic to eliminate the need for an onprem server. The service is very intuitive and easy to use. I can push out printers by many ways, but my main way is by applying a printer by Active Directory OUs, groups, or by ip address ranges. Then I show the users how to add a printer themselves through the portal if there is one they normally do not use.
What do you dislike about the product?
The name of the applications for the clients are not the best. I would think it would be PrinterLogic, but instead the app is called the action you are doing such as the user searches for "Add Printer" app instead of PrinterLogic.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Automatically add printers, and allowing users to add the printers they need without contacting the IS dept.

What do you like best about the product?
The system is pretty easy to use and to teach. The support articles and team is very helpful as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
Finding ini.file or compatible drivers with all printers, poster printers and copiers is not always an easy task to upload.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are transition from AD to OKTA in hopes of using/intergrating other features within PrinterLogic

Migration from Windows Print Servers to PrinterLogic is extremely easy

  • August 18, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love that PrinterLogic is hosted in the cloud, so it is available anywhere in the world. This makes it super simple for our printer admins to update the environemnt and users to quickly add the printers they need without having to be on the company network.
What do you dislike about the product?
After using PrinterLogic for over a year now, I still cannot find anything I dislike about the product. It is very intuitive to navigate to what you need and seems to have just about everything I can think of built in to the product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We used to have many print managment servers in our domain. By switching to PrinterLogic, we have been able to decrease our footprint and still provide the functionallity needed for our users.
