We built THE MACHINE: Powered by SalesLoft.

What do you like best about the product?
In setting up what we have dubbed "THE MACHINE," SalesLoft has been a critical component for us. A leader in our company had used it at a previous organization and knew how powerful it could be. We got everything set up and configured within 2-3 weeks and were off to the races. Shoutout to Shaundai and Chris. SalesLoft, our BDR command center, has supported our success and continued momentum as we build the BD side of our business. And not to mention, integrating with Salesforce was easy and that made my job in Ops much easier.

I love the organization of everything our team needs to accomplish, and it makes firing off emails and making cold-calls much easier. From a management perspective, the numbers are clear as to what is and is not being completed by our team. And, the analytics are helpful for seeing what all it takes to generate sales qualified leads for our AE's to close.
What do you dislike about the product?
Two small areas of improvement would be:
1. Allow for "scheduling" contacts one time at the beginning of each week vs having to put 10-15 contacts into everyone's cadence each day. This will not be nearly as feasible as we scale our operation. (However, I have found a workaround by enrolling contacts in a cadence and then manually adjusting their first step date to whatever day of the week I want)
2. Make it easier to adjust step dates for sick days, holidays, etc. (vs now manually going into each cadence, by each rep and pushing all actions. Again, not scalable or a good use of time in the future)

Both of these are definitely manageable for our team now, but could pose inefficiencies in the future.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before SalesLoft, we didn't really have an outreach strategy (or inbound engagement for that matter) for generating new business from scratch. Now, we are able to effectively target the personas we need to in an organized, repeatable fashion and have the data to back it up. SalesLoft is the backbone of our BD function, and now THE MACHINE is much closer to running itself.

We've benefited from more discovery calls, demos, and sales qualified leads being pushed through our pipeline. We are seeing more momentum at the top of the funnel than ever before. And, we are finally telling a much better story of the engagements and action we are putting into the entire sales pipeline from cold call to closed deal.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Take some time to get an outline of your project plan and why you are implementing something like SalesLoft. You will need to have the appropriate resources, content, tool connections, and discipline for it to be an effective tool. If you are thoughtful in how you approach implementing the tool, it will be massively helpful. Otherwise, like any tool, garbage in is garbage out, and the results will not reflect positively on laziness, lack of preparation, or lack of process adherence.

Excellent automated prospecting tool

  • August 27, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Not only is the cadence feature excellent in automating your outreach with Salesloft, but the tracking and analytics it provides to sales leadership is invaluable as you look to see what's working/not working. It's flexible enough to where you can automate your message or fit prospects into a cadence and customize your outreach to each contact. It seamlessly integrates with your other platforms like Salesforce, Outlook, LinkedIn, etc. making it incredibly easy to use alongside your other platforms.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't have too many downsides outside the fact that Enterprise prospecting teams may not find as much value in this as it doesn't quite fit with those prospecting methods. Other than that, the tool is invaluable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Been able to save a whole lot of time with manual prospecting efforts as well as utilize their analytics function to find out what's working and what's not working.

What do you like best about the product?
The workflow allows a seller to structure there day in a way that wouldn't be possible without this platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wouldn't say there's anything I dislike, although I do have some suggested product improvements. (i.e. A trigger that adds a call step in a cadence when someone views an email)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workflow. Increased production. Laser focused on their day to day objectives.

Salesloft is the best!

What do you like best about the product?
I really like that sales loft tracks the full history of your conversation with a prospect. When I'm running through a list of prospects that I want to get through quickly it allows me to make the call prior to looking at the reason for my call because I know that in a few short seconds I will have access to all my notes emails etc from previous correspondences.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that you can't click "back" when you're in a cadence. I also dislike that you have to remember to "loft" an email from outlook or it won't be tracked in sales loft.

I also wish that linkedin was integrated to the platform so that you could see the prospects linkedin info without leaving sales loft
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sales loft helps me stay organized and reach out to prospects in a timely manner.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
1- Add a LinkedIn integration that that you can access a prospect LinkedIn profile on the on salesloft itself without changing tabs.

2- There should be an easier way to change a prospect to a different stage of a cadence without leaving the prospects "page" i.e. clicking the cadence name, going to people, cadence actions etc

3- there should be a section for notes that hovers at the top of the prospects "page" like a pinned post in a facebook group where you can leave notes that will be continuously relevant********* (this would be the most useful)

Please feel free to reach if you would like clarification! 514 649 5953

Couldn't do my job without it

What do you like best about the product?
There are quite a few things that I love about it. I know each and every day when I come into work what my day will be like based on the steps that are assigned that day. I am able to plan my day out better and help with my power hours seeing it all in one place. I also love that when an email is sent out, I can see in the live feed tab who is opening the emails and if they are clicking on any of the links so the follow-up call/vm I have with them have a warm intro into it vs just calling to call. It makes my calls more meaningful and they now have a purpose.
What do you dislike about the product?
From a manager standpoint, I wish I could receive notifications when my reps are not completing steps. That way I can make sure they stay up on them and remind them they are X amount of days behind so the emails or calls do not become out of sync. MAYBE it is already a feature and I just don't know about. But if it's not, that would be so helpful!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am able to organize my workday a lot easier and get to my calls quicker. Knowing which steps they are in, I can run down my calls fairly quickly and it is nice that I or someone else can write the script or email so I know what to say. It really takes the thinking out of making my calls.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would spend some time with SalesLoft getting a demo and looking at what your reps are doing on a day to day basis. This frees up time and making cold calling especially easier.

Happy user!

What do you like best about the product?
I love the conversation recording and email tracking best. The ability to quickly pull up a conversation from the week before to prep for the next meeting is crucial. I can even verify that my prospect received and viewed my follow-up!
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the process for building cadences. There have been other tools that I've used in the past that are easier to navigate but all in all it's still not bad!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have automated all of my sales outreach for prospecting purposes and manage my current opportunities.

SalesLoft has more than delivered.

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to put people into cadences and the automation that you are able to build into those cadences have helped me improve my efficiency tremendously. Before Salesloft, we were traditionally making about 50 phone calls a day and some emails here and there. Last week, I was able to get 4 touchpoints with about 350 contacts in 4 days using a cadence and automated emails.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would say the learning curve was pretty huge and the onboarding process could be improved to help with that. By the time we finished our allotted onboarding time, he had only grazed the tip of the iceberg and had tons more questions that needed answering.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I would say efficiency has been huge as well as the ability to send out emails much easier. Previously we would have to copy and paste and add in the name and bring over the email address into Gmail and it was just a massive hassle. Sales loft allows for us to painlessly send hundreds of emails a day if needed.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would recommend really taking your time during the onboarding process to really learn about the automation that you can build into your cadences. We didn't know too much about how you can have people kicked out of cadences when their person stage changes and so on and so forth right off the bat. When we learned about that and how to properly use it, we were able to increase our efficency even more.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Solving inefficiencies of prospecting, and speeding up small tasks which frees up more time to make more dials
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Use it. Its an amazing tool for sales
