Bitwarden Review
What do you like best about the product?
I like that Bitwarden can be used across all my devices. I use it on my laptop, iPhone and iPad. It makes it easy to use a custom password for each site and/or app, and Bitwarden takes care of the rest.
What do you dislike about the product?
I can't really say that I've come across anything that I dislike.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In the past, I used to use pretty much the same password for every app or website I had to login to. Now with Bitwarden, I can use custom passwords for each app or website, and Bitwarden saves them all for me.
Forget (almost) every password
What do you like best about the product?
You can create a unique password for every application and you don't need to remember it, Bitwarden will do for you.
Also, the main core of Bitwarden is open-source, which ensures periodical security assessment done by the community.

Possibility to use US or EU cloud is great and even on-prem is possible if needed
Support response was close to immediate and resolved my request fast.

i really dont have anything to complain.
i really dont have anything to complain.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping my secrets safe and help me to ensure no password is reused across sites/services
Easy to use, secure, simple
What do you like best about the product?
Bitwarden is my go to choice for password manager. It's dead simple to use and it's open about its security practices. Given the number of issues with other password managers in the past (*cough* one that rhymes with FastMass*), I love seeing how open Bitwarden is about their hosted security practices and also proactive give recommendations on best practices.
What do you dislike about the product?
The interface is a little dated and honestly not the most beautiful. While it's easy to use, it just feels a bit clunky and old at times.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Storing all my passwords in a simple and reliable manner. I moved over from iCloud Keychain in order to have a more cross-platform solution that I would have a bit more control over.
great, better than lastpass overall
What do you like best about the product?
can be used on as many devices and device types without paying to use said feature. open source, on multiple platforms and syncs between devices. use it daily to login to multiple sites.
What do you dislike about the product?
autfofill address seems to be not working perfectly for me recently and some sync issues but otherwise nothing major
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
it makes it so i can have virtually random passwords for any site that requires an account and makes it so i don't have to remember the passwords as it gets stored and will either autofill or able to pull up the password from one of my devices to login
And easy-to-use, free password manager that just works
What do you like best about the product?
- Adding new vault items is easy and fast. The browser extension will even ask you to do it automatically each time you log into a website or create a new account.
- The generated passwords can be very long and complex, and you can instantly check if they have been found in a data breach
- After the transition period from no password manager to BitWarden, you feel secure and the mental load of remembering passwords, recovery keys etc. is just gone which feels absolutely amazing. This also made me recommended it to all my relatives, and most of them have transitioned like I did
- Autofill is great, especially paired with biometrics, and especially on iOS
- The free plan has all the features most people will ever need, but I still subscribed to the premium plan to show my support to the app. For only $10 a year, I get access to the Emergency Access feature which is really the only selling point for me, but it also includes a "Have I been Pwned" kinda feature, password reuse and strenght checks etc. which overall makes it worth way more than it costs
- The Reddit community is very helpful and quick to react

What do you dislike about the product?
- In general, the main reason people would use another password manager with the same features is the user interface which does look quite dated and is the thing I like least about Bitwarden.
- Some websites are missing their icons in the vault, and despite the support trying to help me, those few website icons just won't work. It is quite rare though. Custom icons, or at least a list of preset, general icons and emojis to use as website icons would be helpful
- Folder are essentially useless since you will either autofill or look up the name of the vault item you are looking for, though it is better to have that feature than not for those interested
- Every login in your vault has a TOTP line in its settings which from my understanding is useless unless you have premium and activated TOTP for that specific website.

Since I have been using the internet, I created account on dozens if not hundreds of sites. At the time I first created my email adress and chose my first password, I was still a kid. For over a decade, I would use the same email and password -or slight variations of it- on every website. As the years passed, I understood web security more and more, and I knew I had to change something. I would use the password manager included in safari on my macbook, but I could not access it from my Windows PC or Android phone. I knew about password managers, but the ones I knew of all were bloated with features I did not need such as VPNs.
When I was told about Bitwarden, I looked into it as to understand its features and how it works. When I was done, I created an account and immediately started transitioning. The process itself felt so good... I knew I was finally fixing a major issue of my internet life that I had had for over a decade.
When I was done resetting all my passwords on all the websites I use, saving all the recovery codes I had written on old pieces of paper or in my macbook's notes, and added all my credit cards, I felt relieved. So much so that I immediately told my mom about Bitwarden, and guided her through setting it up. In 15 minutes, she knew how to use it properly, and did everything I listed above by herself, which surprised me. I think she was happy to never reset her passwords due to having forgotten one again - an issue she complained about often.
Finally, I am happy that the Emergency Access feature will allow my relatives to access all my accounts in case something happens to me, without having to give them access to my vault before anything actually happens.
