Flexible yet easy-to-use web scraper
What do you like best about the product?
Clean and comprehensive web interface that allows to set up a scraping task quickly. Flexible enough to handle websites of any complexity and size. All in all, a great scraping multi-tool!
What do you dislike about the product?
The Free plan is quite generous to complete even medium-sized scraping tasks. But in the case of reaching monthly limits, the paid plan may seem quite expensive for single non-regular usage. I'd prefer a dynamic plan based on actual usage.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Looking for web-scraping solutions I've tried various options ranging from no-code apps to Node libraries and found Apify to be the best of both worlds. It gives great flexibility to set up even complex scraping tasks in a quite short time. I like the well-thought web interface and a nice dashboard that shows the scraping process in full detail.

We are figuring out our potential market size by compiling data on possible leads.
Extremely extensive scraping capabilities
What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about Apify is the selection of scrapers. Social networks, search engines, database websites (like yellowpages), can all be scraped with simple-to-use scrapers that export data succinctly. There are also a lot of choices for proxies that Apify provides making scraping reliable. Scraper bot/script builders have many different ideas that all contribute to this platform which is great as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
The tedious nature of having to reload your cookies (for sites that require login) every time. Can also be waiting for support for extremely long periods (days on end, but they have since added AI chat support that helps alleviate this.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Main problem I'm solving is gathering large amounts of social media profile data to accentuate written content. It allows me to be more productive and navigate my content ideas with much more detail.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Get used to the settings of each scraper first. Take a look at the library of scrapers and make sure to have proxies available if you're doing large amounts of data.

For scraping the internet Apify works great. We had gotten a lot of valuable data for a relatively cheap price

Can be a bit difficult to understand the platform in the beginning but you will quickly get the hang of it

The provided libraries specifically for JavaScript make scraping a breeze.

The price jump from the Free tier to the next paid monthly plan is quite steep for my needs. Having a "pay-as-you-go" option would be ideal.

I started off trying to scrape some simple websites on my local computer, but Apify allowed me to develop reusable scrapers that scale with their amazing platform.

Apify allows us to execute custom scraping code on a reliable and efficient platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
It took a bit of effort to understand the scraping coding language, but once we did we were able to do everything we wanted

Once the code was complete we realized the significant benefits of the Apify platform in terms of making sure scrapers were not blocked on the destination sites.

What do you like best about the product?
I love the fact that all the actors in the platform work perfectly with speed and precision exactly for what I need. I always use actors and scrapers, compared to other platforms, Apify's proxies really work and help me a lot!
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes there are some actors that can take longer than expected and it's not possible to get faster results even upgrading the plan, however, this is not a terrible thing and can get better with time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Using the scrapers created by the community is the functionality that I use the most. I'm not getting benefits from using the platform as I'm only a consumer, however, I'm very happy with how it helps me with proxy barriers for scraping websites!
