Review From CL
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use, strong features, great customization, great support. Very easy to integrate with other tools like n8n or Zapier.
What do you dislike about the product?
No access to the actor code in the public community section.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Web scraping which allows us to monitor competitors and saves us lots of time.
Pretty intuitive, simple to get started
What do you like best about the product?
I like how Apify can integrate especially well with n8n and its very simple to do with webhooks
What do you dislike about the product?
There are cases where not all results were returned and it would be helpful knowing what that was the case
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm able to retrieve post analytics while also analyzing our competitors performance with their content
Apify has been a reliable and flexible way to collect job market data at scale.
What do you like best about the product?
I like that Apify makes it easy to scrape complex sites like LinkedIn without having to maintain my own code. The community actors, especially the LinkedIn jobs scraper, save me a lot of time because they handle things like login and pagination automatically. The output is clean JSON, which I can load straight into my MongoDB and use in my Python workflows. Scheduling runs and monitoring them from the dashboard is also very convenient.
What do you dislike about the product?
The main limitation for me is in the Python API. I can’t change memory allocation when triggering a run from Python, so even though my plan includes more memory, I’m stuck with the 4 GB default while I offered more on web UI. This makes larger scrapes slower than they need to be.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Apify solves the problem of collecting job postings from LinkedIn in bulk, something that isn’t possible with manual methods or public APIs. By automating this, I save hours of work each week and maintain a much larger, regularly updated dataset.
The future of data scrapping
What do you like best about the product?
Instead of a single, rigid API, we found an entire store filled with hundreds of "actors" ready to solve any problem we could throw at them.
This isn't just a handful of features, it's a living, breathing marketplace where solutions are always being built. And when we had a question? The authors behind the actors were so responsive and helpful

What do you dislike about the product?
We've hit a few bumps, like some of the documentation on cURL methods being a bit tricky to navigate, or the occasional confusion over pricing models on community-managed actors.
Some of the lower-rated actors are also a bit of a letdown.

The impact on our business was nothing short of incredible. We started seeing real, this 3 tangible results:
1. Our lead generation shot up by a whopping 65%. We went from guessing to knowing, identifying exactly who to reach and where.
2. We were able to connect with 1,058 potential clients in just one week. That's not a typo. It was a complete game-changer for our sales pipeline.
3. Our operational efficiency increased by an unbelievable 80%. The time we used to spend manually gathering data is now freed up for strategy and client engagement.

Powerful and Flexible Web Scraping & Automation Platform
What do you like best about the product?
Apify makes it easy to build, deploy, and scale web scraping and automation workflows without needing to manage infrastructure. I especially like the ready-to-use actors from the Apify Store and the ability to create custom ones when needed. The platform integrates well with APIs, supports scheduling, and provides detailed logs, which helps streamline automation. It saves me a lot of time compared to coding everything from scratch.
What do you dislike about the product?
The pricing model can become a bit expensive for larger projects with high resource consumption. Some advanced features also have a learning curve, especially when fine-tuning crawlers or handling anti-bot measures. The documentation is solid overall, but in some areas, more detailed real-world examples would be helpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Apify helps me automate repetitive web scraping and data extraction tasks that would otherwise take hours to do manually. With it, I can collect structured data at scale, power lead generation, and connect extracted information directly into my workflows. This saves significant time, reduces errors, and allows me to focus on higher-value tasks.
A fast and flexible way to automate data collection without coding everything from scratch
What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Apify is the ability to access ready-made actors directly from the marketplace and deploy them in minutes. It saves a lot of time compared to developing scrapers or automation solutions internally. The platform is intuitive, integrates smoothly into workflows, and allows us to deliver results to clients much faster while keeping development costs low.
What do you dislike about the product?
The main downside is the dependency on third-party actors. For larger, long-term solutions, this can be a risk since updates and maintenance depend on the original developer. Pricing could also be more flexible for smaller businesses.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Apify is solving the problem of quickly accessing and structuring data from the web without needing to build custom scrapers from scratch. This directly benefits us by saving development time, reducing costs, and allowing us to focus on delivering value to clients instead of maintaining scraping infrastructure. It also helps us validate new ideas faster by using marketplace actors as plug-and-play solutions, which improves agility and makes it easier to scale small automation projects into real business opportunities.
Reliable way to access structured data at scale
What do you like best about the product?
Apify saves us from building and maintaining custom scrapers. The ready-made actors are stable, easy to schedule, and handle errors well. Data outputs are clean and integrate directly into our workflows, which frees up engineering time and lets us focus on analysis instead of infrastructure.
What do you dislike about the product?
Pricing can add up quickly at higher volumes, and clearer cost predictability would help. Debugging failed runs isn’t always straightforward, and the documentation sometimes assumes technical expertise, which makes the learning curve steeper for less technical users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Apify solves the problem of extracting structured data from platforms that don’t provide APIs or where access is limited. It saves us from investing engineering time into writing and maintaining fragile scrapers, while giving us reliable, scalable data pipelines. The benefit is faster insights, lower development costs, and the ability to scale data collection across projects.
Apify usage and reliability review
What do you like best about the product?
1. Customizable and Scalable Web Scraping with Actors
Apify’s actor-based architecture allows us to build and deploy highly customizable scrapers for platforms like Instagram and Facebook. We can configure actors to target specific elements (e.g., post timestamps, event descriptions, tagged locations) and scale them across different geographies or client segments. The ability to deploy actors programmatically through the API makes it easy to automate and maintain large-scale scraping operations.
2. Built-in Proxy Rotation and Anti-bot Protection
Social platforms are notoriously protective of their data, and IP bans or CAPTCHAs can derail scrapers. Apify offers built-in proxy management, including residential and datacenter proxies with rotation, to bypass rate limits and reduce blocks. This significantly increases reliability and uptime, especially when scraping multiple accounts or high-traffic pages.
3. Seamless Data Integration via API and Storage
Apify makes it easy to export data in structured formats (JSON, CSV, Excel) through both the web interface and API. We use this to pipe scraped data directly into our analytics stack via scheduled jobs. The flexibility of storing results in key-value stores, datasets, or request queues allows us to fine-tune performance and handle retries or errors gracefully.

What do you dislike about the product?
1. Limited Native Support for Complex Login Flows
While Apify supports Puppeteer and Playwright for headless browser automation, handling complex login flows—especially those with multi-factor authentication (MFA), reCAPTCHA, or dynamic tokens—can be challenging. For platforms like Facebook or Instagram, maintaining session persistence or dealing with frequent re-authentication often requires custom code or manual intervention. More built-in tools or templates for managing authenticated sessions would be highly valuable.
2. Debugging and Error Handling Could Be More Intuitive
When actors fail—due to selector changes, rate limiting, or site structure updates—the error messages can be vague. While logs are available, tracing the exact failure point (especially for long-running or scheduled actors) requires manual digging. Enhanced debugging tools, like visual DOM snapshots on failure or better stack traces, would help developers resolve issues more quickly.
3. Pricing Transparency and Proxy Cost Management
Apify's pricing around proxy usage can be hard to predict, especially when scaling up scraping across multiple actors or regions. More granular usage dashboards or budget caps would help teams avoid unexpected charges. Additionally, it would be useful to have smarter proxy allocation features based on geographic needs or scraping frequency.
