Good automation platform for web scraping
What do you like best about the product?
Date filtering feature is useful. Platform reliable, maybe 95% uptime. Good choice if you need scraping integrated in your product.
What do you dislike about the product?
Proxy costs are noticeable but manageable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Apify helps automate Facebook groups data collection for my marketplace aggregator project. Instead of manually checking hundreds of groups daily, I can scrape 640+ groups automatically overnight. This saves enormous time and enables building a product that aggregates listings from multiple Facebook marketplace groups into one platform.

What do you like best about the product?

I appreciate the flexibility of the actors and how seamlessly they connect with tools such as n8n, Google Sheets, and Pinecone. The documentation is easy to follow, the platform remains stable, and it handles scaling with multiple scrapers running in parallel without issues. Thanks to Apify, we've significantly reduced manual work and have been able to incorporate automation into our daily workflow.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes debugging long-running tasks can take extra time, especially when checking logs for specific errors.
Also, the pricing could be a bit more flexible for high-volume users.

How easy it was to use. The documentation was good and it was painless to navigate it. Just look up the API you want and give it a try with their weekly free-credits.

Some more examples would be helpful on their documentation for certain features.

I use Apify to create Make automations for scraping Upwork job leads, proposals, and connections. I also plan to do the same on Indeed. The platform is simple to use but has many options. There are many automations to choose from on the platform, which makes it nice to use.

There is a bit of a learning curve. However, it is well worth it.

The variety of tasks and actors available for scraping information from the web is incredible. It might be a bit difficult to understand at first, but once you get the hang of it, you're good to go. You can basically get any information you want, and there’s a task or actor for everything.
What do you dislike about the product?
I just wish there was a plan that allowed you to load credits and use them instead of the current subscription model.

Building a system to gather information for outreach, I use LinkedIn to scrape data and even website crawlers to collect details about the owner and their business. This helps me create personalized emails where I can offer my services.

Apify’s Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube scrapers are fast, reliable, and easy to integrate. There are multiple options for payload delivery. The best part is the event-based webhook delivery which allows me to trigger certain actions based on events. It fits perfectly into an event-driven pipeline.
What do you dislike about the product?
At higher volumes the costs can stack up, and some integrations could use clearer documentation. It would also be helpful to get schema for payload (which fields are nullable or optional).
