Unified solution for automation discovery and monetization
What do you like best about the product?
Apify has given me a single platform where I can both discover AI and automation tools, like web scrapers and crawlers, through its marketplace, and also create and monetize my own tools for the developer community. The customer service and support system are excellent, allowing me to quickly identify and resolve any issues with the tools I manage.
What do you dislike about the product?
Currently there are still certain restrictions on the platform with regards to testing and evaluating AI automation tools based on their intended use case and target customers
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Apify has been useful for me to integrate into my core automation pipeline by giving me access to a wide array of tools. It has enabled me to supercharge my development timeline so I have more time doing high impact work and less time building

Saving Big Money on Marketing Research Using Apify Myself
What do you like best about the product?
Apify is invaluable for my personal marketing research. I primarily use it to scrape competitor pricing, product features, and to look at customer reviews from various e-commerce and social media sites. This has allowed me to gain real-time market intelligence without having to do it manually. I use it to determine where my competition is and what customer's are saying about other products as well as my own. I got an immediate response from the their customer support team on the same day of use and got my question resolved.
What do you dislike about the product?
Overall I'm super impressed with Apify's offerings, but they don't get a 10 in the search area because sometimes I have to do some real digging around to find the Actor I really need. Maybe this could be resolved by adding an advanced search feature. I find that I get a variety of actors for other platforms when searching for example "YouTube" may return Actors for "Facebook".
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The variety of use cases and flexible pricing models is the main reason why I chose Apify for my data needs. I appreciate the flexibility to choose either to rent a specific Agent "per month" for consistent needs, or opt for a "per use" model when I only need a quick data pull. Furthermore, the availability of some genuinely good "free" options is perfect for users like me who might only need a small data sample without committing to a full Actor subscription. The competition between developers also keeps better options available for everyone. For example, I selected an Actor that handles posts, comments, and upvotes simultaneously as opposed to one that only returns posts and comments for the same rental fee.
From a purely financial perspective, the cost savings are substantial. I estimate that by utilizing Apify for the deep analysis I now conduct in-house, I am easily saving hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars that would otherwise be spent outsourcing that type of data collection and initial analysis to another company. I can simply say I would have to hire out to get the kind of analysis that I have obtained through Apify. So literally I have saved from hundreds to thousands of dollars.
I can "set it and forget it" pulling data offline or on a schedule then get back to it when I can. This too has saved me HOURS of time because running a business I have other things to do.
Finally, a major win for me is the wide platform coverage it offers. It's not just a few niche sites, Apify provides robust Agents for all the major platforms. I've used it for YouTube, Facebook, Reddit, and Instagram.

Great Features, But Documentation Needs Improvement
What do you like best about the product?
I can use prebuilt actors or easily build my own scrapers. The platform handles scaling, scheduling, and proxies for me, which saves a ton of time.

Some actors don’t have up-to-date documentation, so it sometimes takes trial and error to figure things out

The only thing I dislike is that some actors in the store have unclear or incomplete input instructions. This can lead to mistakes when running them, and in my case it caused unnecessary costs. A bit more consistency in documentation would make the experience perfect.
