    MD K.

One of the best platforms for serious web scraping projects

  • January 28, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Apify provides an excellent balance between flexibility and infrastructure. I can build custom Actors for complex data extraction without worrying about servers, scaling, proxy rotation, retries, or failures. The SDK, scheduling, webhooks, datasets, and API access make it easy to go from idea to production very fast. It saves a huge amount of development and maintenance time.
What do you dislike about the product?
Apify offers multiple pricing plans and usage based components, which can sometimes feel a bit complex or confusing at first. For new users, understanding how different plans, compute units, and add on services interact may require extra time. Clearer upfront guidance or simpler pricing tiers would help reduce this learning curve.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Apify solves the challenge of collecting structured data from complex websites at scale. Using Apify, I was able to easily extract social media and real estate data without building or maintaining my own scraping infrastructure. It handles proxies, scaling, retries, and stability automatically, which allows me to collect accurate data faster, reduce failures, and focus on building products and APIs instead of managing technical overhead.

Apify Makes Hosting and Scaling Web Scrapers Effortless

  • January 26, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We use Apify to host and scale our custom web scrapers, which has helped us turn internal tools into marketable products. The platform takes care of a major technical headache for us—managing server infrastructure, handling proxy rotation, and dealing with anti-bot bypasses—so we can stay focused on the scrapers themselves. With Apify, we’re also able to give our scrapers “new life” by publishing them as Actors on their marketplace, which lets us generate income from the code we’ve already built.
What do you dislike about the product?
While the Apify Store is great overall, it can still be difficult for new or niche scrapers to get noticed among the 10,000+ existing tools. Improving the search algorithm and offering developers more ways to promote their work—such as stronger categorization or a dedicated “new and noteworthy” area—would make it easier for smaller creators to reach the right audience sooner.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Apify is ideal for scaling custom scrapers that need reliable proxy management and anti-bot bypasses, without having to run or maintain your own servers. It’s especially well-suited for developers who want to monetize their code through the Actor store. That said, it’s less appropriate for simple, one-off tasks, where the overhead of the SDK and the compute-unit pricing can end up outweighing the value of the project.

Powerful web scraping platform for flexible data pipelines

  • January 26, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Apify strikes a great balance between flexibility and production readiness. The API-first design, actors, datasets, and webhooks make it easy to integrate scraping directly into automated pipelines. It works especially well for teams that need repeatable, monitored scraping rather than ad-hoc scripts.
What do you dislike about the product?
Like any scraping platform, external site rate limits can slow things down, but this is expected and clearly communicated. The platform gives enough visibility to design around it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ideal if you want scraping to behave like infrastructure, not experiments.

Clearer Pricing Docs / Strcuture Would Make It Even Better

  • January 26, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
- ready-to use templates or services
- faster delivery
- the ability to publish SaaS or automation Actors (services)
What do you dislike about the product?
- the pricing docs / structure
- for developers: dynamic select options rather than static options in the json file
- for UX: there are inputs that depend on another input value and thus based on the input value we shall show only the relevant inputs, for example an input 1 is a select input that has 2 options (option 1 and option 2), based on it's value I shall show input 2 and input 5 if I select option 1, and I shall show input 3 and input 4 if I select option 2, what happens is that we display all the inputs (input 1, input 2, input 3, input 4, input 5)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
it has been used in the AI automation. We can deliver faster and easier using Apify, below how it was beneficial:
- Fast delivery (because of the many actors that can be used instantly)
- Saving so much time

Best-in-Class Developer Experience, Support, and Marketplace

  • January 23, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It offers the best developer experience and the best customer support. It also has one of the best marketplaces, making it easy for users to find valuable tools.
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn’t anything I dislike about using it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps me extract data, which is why I started using it. When I first published my API, its marketplace was also very good and helped a small developer like me reach some users.

Best scraping and automation tool

  • January 23, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like the independence, reliability, serverless platform, and giving developers the opportunity to earn passive income. It is also very easy to integrate the API endpoints to build frontend applications.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike nothing about Apify. I think that it is a great platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Data extraction and easy integration with other tools are the main problems that Apify is solving. It is benefiting me because I am also an entrepreneur, and these tools give me a serverless platform to develop actors that other people can benefit from. It also gives developers an option to earn passive income.

Powerful, Flexible, and Reliable Web Scraping That Scales with Ease

  • January 19, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Apify is how it combines power, flexibility, and reliability in one platform. The ready-made actors make it easy to get started quickly, while the option to build custom actors allows us to handle complex, real-world use cases. It handles dynamic websites extremely well, scales without infrastructure headaches, and fits seamlessly into our existing workflows—helping us move faster and focus on insights rather than manual data collection.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I dislike about Apify is that some advanced use cases come with a steeper learning curve, especially for non-technical users. Debugging failed runs can also take time, as logs are detailed but not always easy to interpret quickly. Additionally, at higher usage levels, cost predictability requires close monitoring, which means teams need to plan and optimize runs carefully.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Apify solves the problem of manual, time-consuming, and inconsistent web data collection. Instead of relying on people to repeatedly search, copy, and organize data from multiple websites, Apify automates the entire process and delivers clean, structured outputs.

This benefits us by saving significant time and effort, improving data accuracy, and allowing us to scale research and monitoring tasks without increasing headcount. As a result, we can move faster, make better data-driven decisions, and focus more on strategy and execution rather than manual data gathering.

The Gold Standard for Building High-Performance AI Data Engines

  • January 15, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The sheer versatility of the platform is unmatched. I was able to build a sophisticated "Intelligence Engine" using Playwright and PDF parsing while staying within a 1GB RAM footprint. The "Bring Your Own Key" (BYOK) AI flexibility is a huge advantage, allowing me to build scalable tools without worrying about vendor lock-in or high compute costs.
What do you dislike about the product?
The learning curve for the metadata and input schemas is quite steep. The platform is very strict about naming conventions (like dataset names needing specific hyphenation) and mandatory description fields. While it ensures high-quality tools in the Store, it can be a bit frustrating for new developers during the first few builds.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Apify solves the problem of manual data interpretation. I use it to automate the interpretation of dense, high-stakes data—like regulatory portals and PDF filings—that usually requires hours of manual reading. It allows me to transform raw text into structured business intelligence. This benefits me by cutting research time by 90% and ensuring institutional-level accuracy through a fully automated, grounded intelligence pipeline that is ready for enterprise use.
