Seamless Integration and Custom Dashboards with Tableau
What do you like best about the product?
I like the simplicity of creating dashboards in Tableau and its agile integration with various platforms. It's great that Tableau allows us to integrate and gives us a clear understanding of business KPIs in a single place, especially with Salesforce and SAP, along with other bespoke solutions. The flexibility in creating new dashboards is a big reason we switched from SAP BI to Tableau, and I found the initial setup to be a very smooth transition.

There are no straightforward APIs for marketing automation tools which are used by Indian customers but for global players it's available.

Great Visualizations, Needs Better ETL
What do you like best about the product?
I love that Tableau is the best visualization tool in the market. Its interactive visuals are very appealing and it's very easy to use without requiring much technical knowledge. The different charts like maps, pie, bar chart, and dual axis charts, combined with functionalities like filters, parameters, and action filters, make it easier to understand organization-wide data, trends, and metrics. Downloading Tableau desktop software and setting it up by buying a license is simple, making it easy to configure for every developer.
What do you dislike about the product?
While I compare it with other BI tools like Power BI, Tableau does not have powerful ETL and data modeling features, which should be improved.

I use Tableau for creating interactive reports and dashboards, solving data issues by turning data garbage into insightful visuals, so I can understand analytics and data better.
Highly Recommended for Data Visualization and Team Collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
I think Tableau is quite user-friendly once you've spent some time working with it and understanding how it works. It's not overly tech-savvy, meaning that even people who are not very technical can easily view performance data. I really like how I can create views of data and share them with my peers, manager, team leads, and even leadership without having to guide them through the process at every step. It's convenient that they can simply view the performance themselves.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes Tableau takes a slightly longer time to refresh, which can be a bit of a hassle when there's a lot of data handling. I'm not completely sure if it's an issue with our setup or Tableau's, but smoother data handling would really improve the experience. Also, there are a lot of filters I need to type in to get to particular data, which can hinder my workflow a bit. Another thing is the lack of alerts in Tableau. For example, I use Slack and it would be awesome to set up alerts on Tableau that can notify me on Slack if something important changes. If these were addressed, Tableau would be an even better tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tableau eliminates the need to maintain Google Sheets or spreadsheets, allowing me to view data easily. I can create specific views for different use cases without maintaining multiple sheets, which is very useful.

What do you dislike about the product?
I think a couple of times, I wanted to edit some really minute part of a graph, and I couldn't figure out how to without googling it. But that's just a matter of kind of learning the platform better.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tableau solves the difficulty of manually creating attractive graphics. It helps me complete analysis much quicker and is more efficient, allowing me to finish my work faster.
