Drag-and-Drop and AI Analysis Make Tableau Dashboards Fast and Effortless
What do you like best about the product?
The drag-and-drop feature and AI-enabled analysis are the aspects that add the most value to Tableau by helping me generate dashboards from large amounts of data in a few minutes. Two years' worth of daily experience in using the tool with live data integration from different sources have streamlined my work process significantly.
What do you dislike about the product?
While advanced features such as LOD and table calculations take time to learn, consuming several days even after two years of professional use, performance slows when using live connections with unextracted datasets, and the price is relatively high without any available alternatives other than extracting and optimizing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tableau solves data fragmentation and manual visualization by incorporating other sources such as SQL databases and Excel spreadsheets into an interactive dashboard with instant forecasting capabilities. As a result of using Tableau in my professional life for two years, I can report on large datasets weekly and quickly get accurate insights instead of working with fragmented information.
Seamless Salesforce Integration with Easy Data Insights
What do you like best about the product?
I love how complete Tableau is and how it is connected through the entire Salesforce ecosystem. It makes gathering all my data easy to see. I also really appreciated how easy the initial setup of Tableau was.
What do you dislike about the product?
Maybe have more complete charts, with even more personalization and a more "actual" UI/UX (I'm not saying it is outdated, just that it could be more appealing)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Tableau to easily gather and visualize all my data, helping me understand my disaster relief product's impact across various metrics.
Good for Reporting, But Expensive and Rigid
What do you like best about the product?
We like some of the design features of Tableau.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'm not happy with the hosting of Tableau Server and the cost per user. Also, Tableau's flexibility around design isn't great. As our financial needs evolved, Tableau fell behind and lost the support of our leadership, who now prefer Power BI.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tableau solves financial reporting, decision making, and sales tracking for us. We use it for all business reporting and have our own hosted Tableau Server.
Drag-and-Drop Visualizations Without Coding, but Pricier Than Alternatives

I like the drag and drop user interface, I don't have to write code to see visualizations

It’s pretty expensive compared to similar tools, like Microsoft Power BI.

Asking questions and generating visualizations for stakeholders with little to no friction
Dynamic, Great-Looking Dashboards with Powerful Capabilities
What do you like best about the product?
I like the dynamic capabilities on dashboards and the visual look of it

The learning curve is a bit rough when it comes to row vs column

I use it to look at trends and comparisons in the data, and to identify peaks or valleys.
The best dashboarding tool in my opinion
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use and learn, can as simple or as complex as you wish to create it
What do you dislike about the product?
Customization can be tedious. I would spend hours just trying to place tiles in the correct place in the dashboard, it's honestly annoying.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Creating dashboard for sales monitoring, tracking growth and profit, target monitoring, and KPI calculation (for sales performance); comparison by different metrics.
Excellent UI and Strong Reporting in a Great BI Tool

This is a great business intelligence tool, with an excellent UI and strong reporting features.

Data integration and data movement are a bit complicated.

Flexible, Customizable Visualizations—But Slows Down with Large Datasets
What do you like best about the product?
Flexibility and customization opportunities in data visualizations. Ability to embed visualizations in other places. Excellent documentation.
What do you dislike about the product?
Extremely slow processing times when building with large datasets. Confusion of navigating the different Tableau product options available.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Combining multiple datasets for visualization and making dashboards available to business users. Also offering self-service ad hoc data export options.
Powerful Visualization but Needs More Affordable Pricing
What do you like best about the product?
I particularly like Tableau for its powerful visualization capabilities. It's able to integrate seamlessly with different data sources, providing dynamic dashboards that give us operational and business insights in our work environment. I equally like the flexibility in being able to integrate data with Tableau when working in a multi-cloud environment. I can easily pull data from AWS, Microsoft Azure, and build predictive maintenance solutions. I also appreciate that it's quite straightforward to set up, making it simpler for engineers to incorporate and work easily without dealing with organizational complexity or governance requirements. It's also quite scalable, which is a great advantage.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think perhaps the licensing cost shouldn't be so high. It's accumulating so much cost, and I think lowering it would help DevOps engineers to integrate more with Tableau. Also, I think there should be more work on its ability to extend custom developments beyond the standard capabilities. If it could integrate more with tools like Kafka and AI-driven integrations, that would be really helpful.

I use Tableau to translate complex metrics into actionable insights, enabling effective performance analysis and optimizing business outcomes across cloud environments.
Easy Drag-and-Drop Dashboards with Intuitive Multi-Source Connections
What do you like best about the product?
The drag-and-drop interface is very easy to use. Connecting to multiple data sources feels straightforward and intuitive. The dashboards you can create are visually clear, well-organized, and pleasing to look at.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are a few minor but annoying issues, like having to type connection-string details (e.g., usernames and role names) in the exact same case as they appear in the source database; otherwise, the connection won’t work. Also, the menus can be confusing at times, and it isn’t always obvious where to find certain options.

Tableau lets us present our aggregated relational data in a visual format, making it easy to spot trends quickly and support timely business decisions.
