The best part of ManageEngine OpManager is how it simplifies day-to-day network operations by bringing monitoring, alerting, and reporting into one platform. It helps in quickly detecting device health, interface issues, bandwidth utilization, and server performance, which reduces mean time to resolution.
I particularly like the custom threshold configuration, escalation rules, and alert correlation, which help minimize false alarms and focus on real issues. The built-in network maps and dashboards also give a clear visual understanding of the infrastructure, making it easier for engineers to troubleshoot and explain issues to stakeholders

What do you dislike about the product?
One of the main drawbacks is that initial setup and fine-tuning can be time-consuming, especially in large or complex environments. Configuring proper thresholds, alert policies, and device templates requires careful planning to avoid excessive or noisy alerts.
The UI can feel a bit heavy or slow when managing a large number of devices, and some advanced configurations are not very intuitive. In some cases, custom reporting and deep-level troubleshooting require additional effort or scripting, which may not be straightforward for all users.
Also, while OpManager offers many features, some advanced monitoring and integrations are available only in higher editions or as add-ons, which can increase overall licensing costs.

The initial setup was relatively straightforward, especially for discovering and monitoring standard network devices, thanks to automatic device discovery and pre-built monitoring templates. Most devices and services were detected and onboarded without manual effort, saving significant time. The out-of-the-box monitoring templates for common devices are also a big plus.

While ManageEngine OpManager is a powerful monitoring tool, there are a few areas that could be improved. The user interface can feel complex at times.

Its all-in-one capability provides end-to-end visibility from a single dashboard, making daily monitoring manageable. What do you like best about the product?
OpManager is really good for implementation and easy to use. Its network monitoring interface has made our life easier and we now can easily monitor the whole network from 1 single dashboard.
What do you dislike about the product?
We really wish that OpManager can have better integration with other Cloud Platforms such as Juniper Mist etc. apart from Cisco Meraki as it can give us better monitoring insights from traditional SNMP monitoring.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
OpManager helps us monitor the network more easily, and it can send alerts even when the network team isn’t online. In addition, we can access dashboard reports for performance monitoring, which makes it simpler to keep track of overall network performance.
