Quality service that is reliable and easy to use.
What do you like best about the product?
Pager duty is a very configurable service providing complex escalation rules, staff on call scheduling, direct interfacing to some systems and is very straightforward to setup and use. The phone app is well designed and easy to use as well. There are also good analytics for tracking alert frequencies and staff responses.
What do you dislike about the product?
This service has met all of my criteria and I don't have anything that I can specify that I dislike about the product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With running a complex IT configuration with minimal staff, I am able to be aware of any critical issues happening in my environment typically before it is reported by users. It also ensures that I am aware of issues occurring during non-business hours.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the flexibility with creating monitors, schedules, and overrides. Using Pagerduty has helped us be more proactive and helped us frequently solve issues before they are reported form our customer care teams or other sources. For the application itself, I love how you can choose how to get paged. Via app, via email, via phone call, via text.... or all of the above.
What do you dislike about the product?
getting paged at 2 in the morning is the worst :) Other than that, since I make sure to get alerted via phone call so I get woken up in the night, I hate having 30+ voicemails by the end of the week :)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have helped our time to resolution improve and increased overall uptime for all our applications. Through this we are better able to make are RPOs and better service our customers.

Take the leap, do it. LOVE the app

The analytics tool. Helps me to keep track of the alert trends and plan how many dev cycles do we need to spend to reduce pager pain

The on call override mechanism is not very user friendly. There should be an easier way for that.

We use pagerduty to alert in case something goes wrong with our production systems.

What do you like best about the product?
I was able to build custom applications to call Pagerduty APIs to set my specific filters. Upside: I have to build my own custom application to do filtering because PD filtering does not work for my purpose.

Not anything I can think of because I haven't had any issues

Assisting customers for the specific issues with services because it let's me get alerted.

What do you like best about the product?
Timely alert for any issue with our infrastructure was main reason we adopted PagerDuty. Some of the feature like first alert goes to support engineer and if the engineer fails to respond, second level manager is alerted, is very good. I think a tool like this is a must for 24/7 support environment.
What do you dislike about the product?
no such thing. I have used PagerDuty in past for many years and it was very helpful in proactively addressing any application on infrastructure issue.

What do you like best about the product?
Pagerduty is a reliable service that I've used at multiple different companies. They continue to innovate their product offerings and also host an annual conference where people can learn and network. Pagerduty also has a ton of integrations with other 3rd party services which makes it easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
I cannot find any real negative issues with pagerduty. I guess an improvement would be to make it easier to set up PTO or time off where all your schedules and on call rotations are automatically updated.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use pagerduty for monitoring all of our services. Pagerduty is incredibly versatile, and can be configured to meet everybody's needs.

Helps us easily coalesce all of our production incident notifications! Allow us to create response schedules and maintain them
What do you dislike about the product?
A little bit lacking on the config side. Also ICS files are not standards compliant resulting in parsing difficulties for internal tooling. Difficult to construct intersecting schedules (e.g. different times on weekends vs weekdays)
