The best monitoring I've used!

  • November 05, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The insights across multiple devices types in one place has made it easy to keep an eye on the hardware.
What do you dislike about the product?
We had some difficulty installing the software during the initial roll out due to some existing VPN and security protocols. This took a case to be figured out.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
NinjaOne is helping us address visibility across our two locations and remote users. Without this tool, it becomes difficult to dedicate the time to monitor different hardware types.

Big fan of text notifications for systems offline

What do you like best about the product?
Being the first person called if a computer goes down, it's very helfpul to get the text notification first.
What do you dislike about the product?
The system information could be more detailed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is allowing me to stay on top of the status of our machines from anywhere!

NinjaOne RMM is easy to use and provides a multitude of features

  • November 04, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The thing I like best about NinjaOne is how easy it is to navigate and use the dashboard. Everything I need to know or find is neatly laid out in a intuitive way that allows me to find the information I need. Finding help online is easy to do as most of the problems that I search for either on NinjaOne forums or simply Googling leads me in the right direction.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it can take a while for a new device to show on the dashboard when using the "add a device" option in the devices menu. Along with this, it can take a while for the BitDefender integration to active and show that it is running on the newly added device.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The problem NinjaOne is solving is ensuring all endpoint devices are actively secure and being able to monitor all endpoints on the network. It has benefitted us by being able to solve the previously stated problem by doing remote software installation as well as endpoint monitoring.

You won't believe what this RMM platform can do! [SHOCKED]

What do you like best about the product?
NinjaOne’s UI is clean, simple, and easy to navigate. It has made our onboarding process smoother and has been genuinely helpful for our end users. Straightforward tools like keyboard input and file transfers make a noticeable difference in day-to-day support. It is great for something we use everyday for our end users.

The MDM solution feels faster than Intune’s and includes most of what you need to configure devices. Setup for APN and ADE was also very simple. I also appreciate how quickly I can resync a device or push policies when needed, especially when changes need to take effect right away.

Customer support is stellar with our account manager and support engineers. They are very quick to respond and eager to assist with calls and demos.

Installing NinjaOne is as simple as a MSI. Deploying to our machines only requires a few clicks.
What do you dislike about the product?
Installing applications in NinjaOne can be tricky at times. There’s a 1GB size limit, and I’ve had tasks get stuck in the queue with no clear way to troubleshoot what’s happening. I’ve also run into situations where neither older nor newer MSI installers work, which ends up forcing me to install the app manually.

The MDM features could be expanded as well. Some of the functionality I’m used to in Intune just isn’t available in Ninja. Setting policies can be frustrating because I’ll build a custom payload and it looks like it “saved,” but if I don’t click the big Save button in the top right, it wipes out everything I just configured. On top of that, the Save button sometimes throws an error, so I have to refresh the page and rebuild the payload all over again. On another note, Apps and Books don't seem to work as intended. I have the apps assigned to the policy but there is no way to see if it successfully pushed out or not.

The UI could use a little improvement, too. I like that restrictions are organized into categories, but it still feels like everything is lumped into one area, and it’s not always obvious where to go for deeper edits. Expanding the policy settings and making the navigation clearer would help.

When I’m setting policies, I do appreciate the side menu, but it doesn’t really show how much you can edit within each section. Also, on my test iPad it says it “needs attention,” but I can’t see what it needs or what I’m supposed to check. Maybe I’m missing it, but statuses like that should be visible at a glance.

Installing may be easy but uninstalling NinjaOne can be a bit of a hassle at times.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps us resolve issues remotely and quickly. I can remote into users’ laptops and help them troubleshoot and fix their problems. They often praise how fast we are, and I have to thank NinjaOne for supporting our efforts. Being able to push our applications is a big plus as well since it saves us time from having to install it manually albeit it may not work 100% of the time.

Being able to patch devices with minimal effort saves a lot of time, and the straightforward onboarding makes the overall experience better. We can onboard an entire computer remotely as long as NinjaOne is installed on it. More recently, it has also made the MDM side of our timeclock iPads much easier to manage than when we had them on Intune. Policies and changes get pushed out in the blink of an eye.

A good experience for a newish platform

  • November 04, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It's ease of use and implementation. The scripting system, API and other automation tools is fairly robust. Apple device support is decent and improving. Great customer service!
What do you dislike about the product?
There are a few 'quirks' here and there, integrations are a bit lacking leading to needing quite a few work arounds. Device/Employee onboarding could be improved
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Management of endpoints in an all remote company, many endpoint solutions were built around the idea that they would be deployed on a corporate network for the most part. Those other solutions did pivot when the plague happend, but it's still evident when you goto deploy these systems. NinjaOne is built around flexibility making it easier to manage and deploy over other "older" solutions for a remote-only company.

Great software, will be fantastic when MacOS MDM added

  • November 04, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It was very simple to deploy and setup. Fair amount of templates to use on day 1.
What do you dislike about the product?
Doesn't currently have MacOS MDM, so an application like Jamf is still required.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
NinjaOne makes it very quick and easy to identify where patches need to be installed and then to actually install those patches.
We are able to inventory our devices, proactively identify and respond to issues and automatically open tickets when human interaction is needed.
The RMM side makes it very easy to research and conduct the human interaction fixes, often without end user assistance.

NinjaOne RMM is a fantastic tool that simplifies IT management, boosts security, and improves overall system health.

Sometimes, navigating and finding what I'm looking for within the portal is difficult. If I am unfamiliar with something, I will ask one of my more experienced admins.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

What do you like best about the product?
How easy it is to organize all our assets, it's fairly straightfoward and intuitive as well!
What do you dislike about the product?
To be honest, I haven't used another remote asset management system to compare it to. It does what we need it to and the company also has been great about answering questions and putting out information/education!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to quickly solve issues with our studio computers. We have over 70 locations and being able to just login to the computers to solve issues that ultimately help support or team quicker and more efficiently has been wonderful!

Single pane access to multiple aspects of systems management.
What do you dislike about the product?
The iOS app could be a bit more robust but theWebsite is good.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Especially since a large portion of the workforce went remote, I consider this a must. It is very easy to manage, secure and support my workforce
