I like Sprout Social for its ease of use, which makes managing multiple social media accounts feel almost effortless. The centralization of data and management through Sprout Social is something I highly value, as it streamlines my workflow and helps me keep everything organized in one platform. Additionally, the initial setup was easy, which made onboarding a smooth experience. I also appreciate the more robust features of Sprout Social, which were one of the main reasons for switching from Buffer, allowing for an expanded functionality that supports my needs better.

The cost of Sprout Social is high.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Sprout Social for centralizing data and managing multiple social media accounts efficiently, enhancing ease of use and reporting capabilities.

Strong Partnership and Expertise, But Account Support Extremely Lacking

  • November 13, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
- Our team knows it inside and out
- We trust that they have the best relationships with the social networks
- They seek to partner with us to increase our value to our clients
- It mostly has all of the features we need to be successful and they are open to our recommendations for things that they don't have
What do you dislike about the product?
The turnover with our contacts has been insane. I complained about it a year ago and we've since had 4 this year, plus new people in every other area of contact. And every time a new person comes on, they expect to have a full "intro" to our business and goals. We just keep starting from scratch and I have zero faith or interest in onboarding a new person to Sprout for them.

I also really don't like that every person I'm talking to is in their bedroom. It feels so unprofessional and reaffirms my perception that this person is temporary and just feels like a call center instead of someone deeply committed to our business, industry and even to Sprout. The response time and number of out of office responses, especially days Sprout is just officially off that aren't normal closures is also frustrating.

Our only complaint up until the last 2 years of the above has always been that our team seems to know more about Sprout than anyone they're working on with at support.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It provides collaboration, efficiency, reporting, deep listening and the ability to confidently publish, monitor, report and engage on behalf of our social clients.

Simplifies Social Media Management, But Needs More Features

  • November 13, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I really appreciate how Sprout Social consolidates multiple tools for publication planning into one platform, solving the problem of having to manage them separately. Programming a post is notably easy, enhancing efficiency in handling social networks. The feature allowing the creation of validation workflows is particularly helpful, as it removes the need to send emails for validation, thus streamlining the process considerably. I always know the status of each post before publication, which saves a substantial amount of time and effort. Additionally, the initial setup was facilitated by meetings with onboarding teams, making the entire process much easier.
What do you dislike about the product?
The tool misses a place to classify topic ideas and manage illustrations, which would enhance its usability. Also, once the team is onboarded and after few months it became complicated to contact the customer service and get answers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Sprout Social to schedule social media posts and monitor my company's reputation, solving the issue of multiple tools for publication planning and saving time by avoiding email validations.

Robust Reporting, Needs More Social Listening Options

  • November 13, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I enjoy using Sprout Social for its robust capabilities in sorting and tagging posts into different categories, which allows me to report not only on channels but also on activations and campaigns across different accounts. The ability to personalize reports is another standout feature that enhances my user experience, despite needing to explore it more. The tool's social listening feature is useful, although I hope for expanded options, especially for TikTok and YouTube. One of the primary appeals of Sprout Social is its user-friendly interface, which is easy to navigate. I also appreciate the flexibility provided by multiple filters which enable me to categorize and view posts in various formats, including graphs or on a post-by-post basis per profile, and also allows exclusion or inclusion of certain posts using macro rules. The setup of Sprout Social has been very easy, which is important for effective integration into workflows.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the differentiation between paid and organic posting challenging, mainly due to API restrictions, which is a limitation not directly caused by Sprout Social but still impacts its usability. Similarly, social listening on platforms like TikTok requires a connected profile due to API limitations, which can hinder ease of use. Metrics that would enhance analysis, such as reshares and reposts on TikTok, are missing, and I wish they were better integrated to provide a more comprehensive overview of social media performance. The AI Features also feel very gimmicky and don't feel like they really give real insights pass metrics increasing or decreasing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Sprout Social for reporting social performance monthly and quarterly. It allows me to personalize reports, sort, and tag posts by categories, improving our report accuracy on channels, activations, and campaigns across accounts.

Streamlined Social Media Management with Sprout Social

  • November 12, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I really appreciate how Sprout Social continually updates its features to stay in sync with new Instagram rollouts. This adaptability ensures that we can leverage the latest social media tools without delay. The platform’s campaign tags prove to be invaluable for our team, enhancing our ability to pull detailed quarterly or year-end reports. This functionality allows us to analyze branded and editorial content effectively, enabling us to make informed business decisions about our content direction. These aspects significantly contribute to the platform’s value, particularly in helping us manage multiple Instagram pages efficiently.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are a few aspects of Sprout Social that feel as though they need to be handled manually due to a missing API. This includes actions like tagging another handle or user on a video or adding music to a static image.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Sprout Social for managing multiple Instagram pages, allowing seamless posting and analytics review without frequent logins. Its campaign tags enhance our reporting and content direction decisions, making it valuable for our business.

Streamlined Social Channel Management with Simple UI

  • November 12, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I find Sprout Social incredibly beneficial for managing our agency's social channels and client campaigns, particularly appreciating its streamlined approach to handling comments. The simple user interface makes it easy to plan and schedule content, allowing multiple team members to work efficiently. I also value the analytics that Sprout Social provides, which are detailed and significantly aid in monitoring performance. The ability to generate reports based on content tagging proves very useful for understanding the success of our strategies. Overall, these features have made a positive impact on our workflow and strategy execution.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think having greater customer support would significantly elevate our process. Along with that, I don't love the approval process, especially for approvers who are not full platform users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Sprout Social to streamline management of client comments and campaigns, simplifying content scheduling and providing insightful analytics to track performance.

Great Social Posting Tool with Minor Platform Limitations

  • November 12, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I really appreciate the integration with Canva, which makes turning graphics into social media posts fairly seamless. I also like that you are able to schedule social media content out further than you can with Meta Suite, which limits scheduling to within a month of the current date.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some odd limitations, for example, you can't post to a Facebook story, but you can post to an Instagram story. Another example would be that while you can import still images directly from Canva, you cannot directly import items with simple animations or sounds which qualify as videos. I also don't like that our Instagram account will automatically disconnect from Sprout at fixed periods, and while Sprout will tell you that the Instagram account will need to be reverified, the notification is extremely easy to miss.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sprout Social enables us to manage, organize and schedule most of our day-to-day social media content in one place which is incredibly helpful. I also really appreciate the weekly reports it generates which shows critical data like the number of interactions or followers gained/lost over the previous week. This data is incredibly valuable, though it can be somewhat of a challenge to extrapolate a coherent strategy from it.

Great for Finding Creators, But Reporting Needs Improvement

  • November 12, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I really enjoyed the creator identification service. I used it a lot to find similar creators.
What do you dislike about the product?
The reporting feature was not easy to understand. Authenticated creators would still not pull through IG Stories and the information would be nicer if laid out in a report form.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is great for influencer identification when trying to source creators for my clients.

Excellent Social Analytics, Bu Pricing Could Be Clearer And their API could be better.

  • November 12, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It feels like the best social media measurement on the market. It allows us to filter through our social media posts easily. The use of tagging posts is amazing, and having the ability to use their API to ingest the data is great. Their support is pretty solid. Sometimes they are amazing, but other times they haven't been able to help. We use Sprout every day, but if there were a platform that better suited our needs, we would switch due to price and implementation.
What do you dislike about the product?
We use premium analytics, and I did not love the onboarding process or the pricing process. I wish they were more transparent about add-ons, rather than requiring a meeting. It felt long to get them integrated with our process. I would love more metrics that I see on our social platforms, but I understand they are working with whatever the API is giving them. (We can't get time-watching ingested from Instagram.)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sprout greatly assists us with Social Media Analytics and gives us a better idea of how stuff is performing.
