Why I have been faithful to Sprout Social
What do you like best about the product?
That I can visually see my content calendar and plan and schedule our weeks. The analytics are also the most complex out of any social media management platform I have ever seen.
What do you dislike about the product?
The analytics cannot backlog and there's some features I cannot access unless posting natively.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Scheduling content so that we are able to schedule and post it.
Easy All-in-One Scheduling, Smart Inbox, and Shareable Reports
What do you like best about the product?
Super easy to use and keeps everything in one place. I like being able to schedule posts, manage messages, and pull reports without switching tools. The Smart Inbox is especially helpful for staying on top of engagement, and the reports look clean and are easy to share.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can get pretty expensive, especially as you add more users or profiles. Some of the features feel a bit locked behind higher-tier plans. Also, while the reporting is great, customizing it beyond the basics can be a little limiting at times.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps keep all our social media work organized in one place, so we’re not jumping between tools. That saves a lot of time and makes it easier to stay consistent and responsive.
Optimize Social Media Management with Ease
What do you like best about the product?
I like Sprout Social because it helps me plan and promote scheduled events like my podcast easily, allowing me to put them out on one day and then have them post throughout the year. I also appreciate that it optimizes my time since I don't have to log in at a specific time for posts to start. The AI feature is really helpful for generating alternative text for images, which is essential for my posts through the association I represent. It's great for saving me from doing this tedious task repeatedly when creating lots of posts. Additionally, I find the initial setup extremely easy, and I appreciate that it warns me when posts are not successful or when the platform is about to expire its permission to post or becomes unlinked.
What do you dislike about the product?
One of the areas of optimization would be for posting the correct aspect ratios for each social media platform and having it automatically recommend what type of aspect ratio you should be using because I've had some situations where I've accidentally posted something that was an Instagram ratio to LinkedIn, and then it looked really silly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Sprout Social to optimize my posting schedule and save time. It lets me schedule events in advance and generates alt text for images, which is crucial for my association's requirements. The AI feature cuts down on tedious grunt work.

I find Sprout Social helpful for managing inboxes for DMs and reviews, while also providing analytics on platform performance. I like the reminders about reviews that haven't been responded to.
Generally useful but fairly complex for social media managers
What do you like best about the product?
I enjoy the publishing calendar, optimal times and the easy to view metrics. It is only fairly intuitive though, which makes navigating it quite tricky.
What do you dislike about the product?
The post failure rate is extremely high. The optimal times are not always accurate. For some reason you must select upload image(s) or video(s) in order to upload multiple at the same time, while drag and drop should allow for the same. I have not found the explanations of failed posts helpful and have had issues accessing support. I don't find the AI features helpful. And I'm not using any integrations but that would probably be helpful in how we interface with canva. Generally just think there's too much here for me as a simple manager.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sprout is not currently solving any problems for me in my role. I am using this as a basic social scheduling platform, but the organization is using it for more robust tracking and metrics.

What do you like best about the product?
Sprout Social isn’t just designed for content publishing and analytics; it’s built to support higher-level strategy. The competitor data it provides helps shape the North Star our brand is following in a way we simply haven’t had access to before. Overall, the software brings our entire marketing department into a more cohesive, aligned environment.
What do you dislike about the product?
I’ll say this: the robust design and capabilities of the Sprout Social platform can be enough to steer some brands away from it right from the start. The interface offers such a wide range of tools and resources that it can feel overwhelming to imagine taking full advantage of everything the system includes. And when Sprout Social requires you to go through mandatory platform training with them, that’s when you really realize just how much you’re about to have in front of you.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Put simply, Sprout Social is helping our brand better-connect the dots between social spending and unit-level revenue.
Simple, Streamlined, and Efficient—with Thoughtful Support
What do you like best about the product?
It's simple, streamlined, and efficient. When I have submitted questions, recommendations, or concerns, they have been met with curiosity and concern.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's very minor, but I find that Drafts constantly disappear. We never "Reject" anything or save anything as a draft because we are never able to find them again.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We monitor and post on multiple platforms, and SS streamlines the process and makes it easy to post, track metrics, and monitor conversations.
