Great platform: very inconsistent

  • April 13, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love how Sprout keeps everything organized and in one place. It’s a pretty simple tool to use with a lot of other capabilities available if you’re willing to search for them.
What do you dislike about the product?
I feel that Sprout’s reporting is very inconsistent. There is no way to export the report in a way to share all of the in-depth information that the live report holds. Additionally, there is never a clear explanation behind why certain numbers are shown. For example, one of my reports showed that Facebook follower growth had increased 0%, but we had gained 44 followers. I had to ask a rep to get the answer that they had rounded the number down. This is difficult to explain to a client. Additionally, we aren’t able to respond to instagram stories or monitor those. One other thing is that our Instagram account disconnects all the time and there’s no rhyme or reason to it. It’s not the best platform for client facing communication.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
See above.

Almost there

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to schedule multiple platforms at one time is nice, but since Sprout doesn't optimize images for the various social platforms, I still end up having to schedule each platform separately, besides LinkedIn and Twitter.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sprout doesn't provide the options I need for Instagram, such as First Comment, Stories, Carousel posts, etc. Because of this, I use a separate scheduling service to schedule Instagram posts.

There have been many times when posts fail on Sprout for no apparent reason, which is especially annoying when it's the weekend and I have to log in to work on my day off.

Reports are somewhat limited. Could be more in-depth.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Scheduling in advance for my clients. Being able to provide some metrics, such as proof of which posts performed best each month.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Additional features for Instagram including stories, carousel posts, first comment.

Tagging products.

More in-depth reports.

What do you like best about the product?
I love how SproutSocial has the overall feel to social media marketing. Allowing us to draft, schedule and even publish posts, to replying to messages this program got it!
What do you dislike about the product?
The content creation area for social media post is a little too boring/basic.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Allowing us to analyze our social media platforms, & Organizing our posts!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I wish the content creation area for social media posts be a little more detailed. Like if Sprout Social can have/add similar characteristics of CoSchedule for the scheduling side of Sprout Social. I think it would help a lot!

What do you like best about the product?
I'm happy that LinkedIn has been added to the management platform. I appreciate the view-as-it-will-be-seen options for each network, too. The reporting features are pretty robust and useful. I like that all accounts can be seen/measured together, but then there are options to break down per site.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sprout queue doesn't directly tell me the best time(s) to post based on my audience activity over time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Scheduling posts in advance and duplicating posts helps manage our social streams more efficiently.

Solid for Organizing, Needs Better LinkedIn Features

  • December 12, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I really appreciate the tagging and campaign features in Sprout Social as it keeps everything organized, including user-generated content. It's also easier to track the effectiveness of LinkedIn posts from the company account versus posts by our subject matter experts since we can create reporting of received messages. Additionally, the initial setup of Sprout Social was easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like an easier way to explore my LinkedIn feed and viewing posts from my network that don't appear in my social listening and inbox.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sprout Social helps manage our social calendar, scheduling posts, and supports different programs with ease. The tagging and campaign features keep everything organized, including UGC. It also makes reviewing the effectiveness of LinkedIn posts easier by offering comprehensive reporting.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Sprout Social helps me do my job better. I like it a lot. And the trainings are incredibly helpful but I wish there was more information available on demand. I am just a user so I don't know the price.

Great Experience with Sprout

  • November 01, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Social media publishing tools, detailed analytics for building monthly reports.
What do you dislike about the product?
The inaccessibility to social listening due to cost, wish part of it was wrapped into Sprout Social on its own. We would pay more per year for the seats. We wish it were easier to track a topic or hashtag. The paid reporting in Sprout is also not a great user experience so I'm still using native Facebook Ads to grab those numbers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Building social media calendars, using Landscape to easily resize images without involving our in-house designers, tracking month over month and year over year performance
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This is a great way to schedule content if you get many ongoing requests to publish from different areas of your organization.
