Easy to use, but unreliable
What do you like best about the product?
It is simple and easy to use. It is very easy to learn and master.
What do you dislike about the product?
As my business has grown, Sprout has had a difficult time keeping up with the volume.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sprout allows us to engage with our customers and create a unique experience with our customers on most of our social platforms.
Good tool for social analytics
What do you like best about the product?
I really like the easy to understand reporting that is provided for the main social platforms (Twitter, Instagram & Facebook).
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish the social listening & reputation management had more functionality (e.g. tracking brand/name mentions, not just tags; positive vs. negative classifications; ability to monitor other review sites like Yelp).
I also wish that the reporting comparison feature wasn't stuck to just this period over last period, but could be looked at like year over year or another custom comparison.
I also wish that the reporting comparison feature wasn't stuck to just this period over last period, but could be looked at like year over year or another custom comparison.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Creating visual representations of data was an ongoing issue in the past as it would always take a lot of our internal time, but this provides us with an easy way to provide that, as well as easily to period over period comparisons.
Great options but could be more user friendly
What do you like best about the product?
I like the post smart timing options, I like the ability to copy and recreate the post on another feed or day, and the ability to edit the photo in the program bc sometimes sizing needs to change. Creating one post and relaying it on different feeds is great and helpful. I love the area for notes in the sections so I can remember to go back and add things or a topic I need there.
What do you dislike about the product?
Smart post timing options are almost always the same time each day, and when posts are combined I wish we could have the IG, facebook, twitter go out at different times in the same post instead of have to duplicate and post 3 times to get separate times to send out. Sometimes I create a post on the app and when I go to the desktop it tells me sizing is not working...perhaps a glitch? I hate the layout of the week few, it sucks to scroll to see all 24 hours I wish it could be pulled back where you can see the day or week on the full screen laid out.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helps organize content and social concepts more easily and plan ahead with all the other tasks at hand. Benefits are organized time and ideas without rushing. More steady and stable content creation.
Sprout Helps Agency Efficiency
What do you like best about the product?
Sprout Social is intuitive to use and easy to navigate, allowing my agency to collaborate quickly and in real time, which helps us resource plan with accuracy while navigating social needs from multiple clients simultaneously. The approval workflows are also incredibly helpful, and allows us customize the approval process for each client's preferences.Sprout customer service has also been absolutely fantastic - the chat function is efficient and assistance from customer support is always quick and helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
As an agency, the ability to share a detailed and dynamically-updated calendar of posts with our clients that does not have editing or scheduling permissions would be incredibly helpful. It would also be fantastic to have our clients see only completed posts that are ready for their review, while being able to hide posts that are still in progress or awaiting our internal approval. I would also love to see analytics about when my social audiences are active and engaged on various platforms without having to activate ViralPost and use the queue.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sprout Social is a fantastic time saver that has significantly decreased the editing and turnaround time for my agency and our clients by eliminating version control problems and the need to build complex spreadsheets or PDF approval documents for client review.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
One of the few social management platforms that can isolate clients well for use in an agency setting without a custom enterprise agreement.
Long time user. First time survey answerer
What do you like best about the product?
I like being able to manage multiple Twitter accounts with images. I love the feedback we get and it helps with deciding when I should post. It's very intuitive and easy to manage. I also really like the new feature where you can see how the Tweet will look on the right side of the screen.
What do you dislike about the product?
No spell check and no ability to post on Instagram. I wish I could add more accounts and there was more help with experts on social meeting posting. But mostly I would love spell check because I those mistakes the most often when posting.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am finding more followers and listeners to my shows. I am also learning when to best post on Twitter which is super helpful. I only use it for Twitter right now so I cannot speak to other social media platforms.
Daily Grind
What do you like best about the product?
It's relatively easy to use in terms of posting content to the correct channel.
What do you dislike about the product?
Tagging content and generating reports isn't particularly intuitive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am using my time more efficiently with developing content and Sprout as a tool for posting is great. From other products, I have had more support from individuals in terms of providing competitive intelligence and use of the tool.
Good for agency+internal multiuse
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to manage internal social channels as well as client channels within the same platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
Slow to update alongside platform changes
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Great for organic platform insights and reporting
resourceful and easy understandable
What do you like best about the product?
being able to create content for different platform in one easy website
What do you dislike about the product?
lack of information to help understand the useful tools available
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
posting and interacting with our audience easier
Good service but needs improvement
What do you like best about the product?
I love that the service is well-organized and easy to navigate. I can manage multiple accounts from one place, and it's convenient to see which team member sent which tweet. The "sent messages" feature includes so much valuable information about engagement stats, which I appreciate.
What do you dislike about the product?
The site still shows messages from users who have been blocked and also from private accounts. This can weigh down the queue with many irrelevant and unwanted tweets. The app, while it makes bulk clearing easier, crashes frequently. (Almost every time I use it!) Clicking on an image or gif during bulk clearing will also undo any progress, and I have to start over. On busy days, this can slow me down quite a bit.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Sprout to reply to the public. We receive countless messages in a day, so it's much easier to see them on Sprout than use the desktop.
Convenient way to pre-schedule across multiple accounts
What do you like best about the product?
As a marketing and PR professional, organic social can be one of the more tedious parts of the job. Sprout makes it easier to manage and review reports across each of my 5 clients' accounts. I also appreciate the automated queue option, which tracks when our followers are most active, and distributes queued posts accordingly. It also has a great free reporting feature which I've found to be more reliable and interactive than paid platforms. Another thing that I appreciate is the additional feature to link your personal profile.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be a little confusing to approve workflows and manage user access. However, Sprout does have several tutorials and separate sites which allow you to teach yourself how to do so. I also wish the calendar was more user-friendly and interactive. Yes, you can see your pre-scheduled posts- but it isn't necessarily the most accessible.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As I previously mentioned, organic social is seen as one of the more 'tedious' components of managing a client's marketing initiatives. This makes it easy to not only schedule and plan posts days, weeks, or even months in advance- but to also track performance and make actionable recommendations.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This is a great management and reporting tool for those in B2B marketing, however, I am not involved in customer support via social so I cannot provide any feedback and therefore recommend doing your research. There is still much I've yet to discover- but am so far very pleased with the results!
