Overall good experience, lots of tools to try out
What do you like best about the product?
I like the optimized times for posting
What do you dislike about the product?
some unknown errors create failed posts
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's easy to schedule posts ahead of time
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Like all other social softwares right now, the widget is not available to schedule carousels. There are also so many tools that I haven't even had the chance to explore yet. They are affordably priced per profile. We would like to try their Listening tool to seek out conversations in our industry, however it is incredibly expensive so we have not made that leap yet, especially in the pandemic.
Sufficient for scheduling, somewhat costly for all other features
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to schedule content is helpful and easy. It is very helpful to be able to add multiple brands for this purpose, as our company owns 2 separate brands that we need to regularly get all content scheduled for both. The interface in general is also very easy to use, even if you haven't used Sprout social before. Myself and my team using the tool have all used historical versions of Sprout so were familiar with it, but i can see how it'd be very easy to navigate for any first time users.
What do you dislike about the product?
The analytics aren't as strong and comprehensive as we hoped, and aren't as strong as they were years ago now that listening is only available as a paid feature. Myself and my team had used a different version of sprout about 5+ years ago when some of the smaller social listening functionalities were included, so it was pretty disappointing to see those were no longer part of the core sprout social package and also to see how expensive it was to add the social listening features.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We haven't had any significant issues, but have had some small glitches like some of our accounts becomming unlinked randomly.
Sprout is helping me, but lacks a few key features so I can do everything that I need to do with it
What do you like best about the product?
The automated reports are saving my life. It's not hard to get reports, it's saving a lot of time and they are also nice to show to our clients.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some key features can't be done via Sprout and Facebook API changes often make it difficult to do everything in one place. The most important thing would be to add a feature where you can plan posts on Sprout Social and then access them immediately as a scheduled post in the Facebook Ad Manager. At the moment, if you want to promote a post in advance or plan the campaign in advance, you have to do this via Creator Studio.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Community management across teams, automated reports, planning content in the calendar, organizing things with tags.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are looking for a way to plan posts, access reports and manage a community across teams, I found no better tool to do it. The one thing Sprout lacks is that you can't do everything you can do on platforms like Facebook with it, but when it does, it works just fine and they care about your feedback and try to make the service better.
Great tool but lackluster interface
What do you like best about the product?
It does everything you need from a social listening tool and is pretty easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
The interface can be confusing and isn't the prettiest or nicest.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Scheduling content, reporting back on performance, managing multiple accounts and platforms.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It does everything you want for a better price compared to most competitors.
Good if you’re managing multiple social accounts
What do you like best about the product?
Ability to group multiple social media accounts together
What do you dislike about the product?
Because it’s a third party app it always needs reconnecting due to social media updates
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Simplifying and making social media management easier
Manager - Marketing
What do you like best about the product?
Extremely easy to use and will notify you if something is amiss
What do you dislike about the product?
cannot edit posts once they have been published
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
dont need to manage each platform sperately, i can do it all in one place
Good social media management solution.
What do you like best about the product?
I have used Sprout for the past six years in my business and it is my only constant. Sprout is extremely easy to use and familiarizes new team members. I have seen the platform update over the years, but the calendar function is probably one of the best resources for a complete view of your social programming.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sprout Social is not as powerful as competition. We subscribe to Synthesio along with Sprout Social to listen and monitor properly. Some members of our team prefer Hootsuite's tabbed design to Sprout Social's exclusive inbox.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sprout Social offers social networking programming functionality that includes calendars, drafts, replies, canned replies, retweeting, etc. for multiple platforms and multiple accounts. It offers detailed analysis, demographics and more with fully customizable timeframes. Sprout Social also offers easy, communicative, and helpful customer support on rare issues or concerns.
It's good but don't like new design
What do you like best about the product?
The biggest selling point for me is the OneInbox! Trying to keep up with streams on other networks is confusing.
I like that I can rely on Sprout to post my content for me after it's scheduled.
I like the listening capabilities
I like the asset library capabilities
Bots are cool
Better than Hootsuite by far, easier to understand than Social Bakers, More powerful than Agora Pulse (however, Agora Pulse offers far better scheduling capabilities).

What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the new layout completely, I don't like having the navigation bar on the left side it's not as intuitive. I wish there was a way to do "Dark mode" so the design wasn't so white.
As far as the actual functionality,
-I desperately wish I could see old posts that have been posted in the month calendar view. They can appear slightly faded so it's clear that they were posted in the past, while the bright and bold posts are the ones that are scheduled for the future.
-I wish I could click and drag posts to different days on the month calendar view instead of having to click the post and go in and manually change the date.
-I have to refresh my page to see changes I just made on calendar
-I wish that "share of voice" was a standard offering in analytics. Instead, you have to pay for a "themes" bar to be added to each listener with share of voice displayed there.
-The analytics on the "pages" under reports are sometimes different numbers than what is shown on native platforms.
-The analytics on "pages" for engagement and impressions are ALWAYS different from the analytics on the "sent message performance."
-Facebook engagement is not broken down by paid and organic, so I have to go onto the native platform to figure out that breakdown myself.
- I was told YouTube was on the roadmap to be added as a platform in July 2019 and it's January 2020 and it's still not available

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Insights from listening
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Do your research!
Overall good experience but missing some key user experience features.
What do you like best about the product?
Helpful analytics across all platforms and ability to compare competitors. Multiple calendar views are nice.
What do you dislike about the product?
Scheduling feature has some weird quirks, like not being able to change the platform for a draft, but you can if it’s already scheduled. Not being able to choose different dates/times for the same post on multiple platforms adds a lot of repetitive work.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Combining analytics numbers across all platforms!! Saves lots of time.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Not a bad option at all. Not the most user friendly though, it takes time to get used to using the system before you can take full advantage. Still has weird quirks that make it feel like it’s new and will evolve.
Sprout is user-friendly with easy to navigate functions and a wide variety of capabilities.
What do you like best about the product?
The functions on Sprout are easy to navigate. The layout and functions share similarities with other large platforms, so it’s very user-friendly, especially to those who are familiar with social media managing tools.
It offers a wide range of functions that will prevent companies from having to purchase and train on a variety of other platforms to properly maintain their social media presence. Social media listening, analytics, scheduling and reputation management are all capable under the system. If you’re an agency, you can manage multiple accounts simultaneously. If you’re a corporate user, multiple users can have access to the same social media accounts (so if you have someone focusing specifically on analytics and someone else on content, neither have to share their login and risk human error.)

What do you dislike about the product?
Occasionally feeds lag which can make monitoring and reputation management a bit of a hassle. Occasionally bugs out and posts don’t go through as scheduled.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easy cross-functionality and cross-departmental use. As previously stated, very user-friendly operating experience.
