Experienced many social platforms - Sprout is the best!
What do you like best about the product?
I love the customer service with Sprout. Other tools I have used may have different features that are useful, but you can never reach their customer service support! How can you effectively use your tool when you can never reach out to anyone? This is so not the case with Sprout - we love our rep and have a regular cadence with him.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish they had more review functions (Facebook/Google My Business/Yelp/Glassdoor) to monitor. But, the new advancements have been a help - even at the surface level. I wish we could achieve comments and reviews from longer than 90 days. I wish we could sort comments/reviews in Sprout by year. The last 5 years or longer would be crazy awesome!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are solving customer/driver problems with Sprout and also using it to drive new leads. I think it is very user-friendly and up to date with all the latest social trends. The blog within Sprout I was not utilizing before, but since last week I have been more interested in reading the updates.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
At my last company, we were looking for a social media platform - I am not sure why my boss never looked into Sprout because it is very simple in the best way. I found Hootsuite to be a little overwhelming and complicated. Sprout has all my needs laid out and easy to use/understand.
Great platform with a few missing features
What do you like best about the product?
Sprout Social has great support, great features, and support for multiple accounts if you're at an agency managing hundreds of accounts. It's easy to work in and not accidentally schedule content in the wrong account because of its group system. Instagram posting/scheduling is super easy with the app. While we do not use the reporting function of Sprout, it has a robust reporting platform if that's what you're looking to use it for. The smart inbox is a lifesaver on our team, especially when we have a sick employee or someone taking a vacation. It allows us to hand over management easily and seamlessly. Monitoring keywords is a cinch, though I wish the interface was a little less clunky.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish it was easier to reschedule posts. Being able to drag and drop posts in calendar view would be awesome. Currently, no support for Google My Business posts but we've been told that's in the works. We export content for clients to look at and currently there's no white labeling and videos don't show on the exported content plan. The app is not great, they are working to improve it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were using a content scheduler that was constantly breaking and communication of new features or features that were being ended was not occurring. Sprout has fixed this and its support is far more responsive when we have questions or issues.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Of the many content creation platforms my company considered, Sprout Social ultimately won because of its features and ease of use. Its support is great as well.
Good bang for your buck
What do you like best about the product?
Sprout Social helps us plan and schedule our social posts for the weeks/months ahead.
What do you dislike about the product?
We initially used the cheapest monthly subscription on Sprout - which we discovered did not allow us to #tag our content and sort it into categories to see how different campaigns were performing. We are upgrading to the next pricing plan and are excited to see how much more robust our reports will be.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sprout Social helps us get a bird's eye view of which campaigns we are promoting across ALL our social channels instead of posting to each channel in a silo.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If reporting on your channels is a priority, considering using the second or third tier pricing option.
Great Platform for Organized and Streamlined Content Management - Seriously!
What do you like best about the product?
Easy and organized way to schedule and plan content on social media channels. Helps to increase following and see where you can improve your content as well as social interaction through data.
What do you dislike about the product?
Would like other views for scheduled content and easier ways to respond/interact in the 'Listening' tab
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Planning and scheduling content in an organized and effective way. Can plan lead in time to specific social efforts effectively. Finding best time to send out blasts through data
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you need a program to streamline and strengthen your content management- Sprout Social is the one!
How Sprout Drives our Content
What do you like best about the product?
Sprout is a very comprehensive tool and helps us scheduled content so our feeds are always fresh and full of new information. The scheduling function is incredibly helpful as is the calendar feature to see where gaps are in content. The preview feature when writing a post is also extremely helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
There aren't many things we dislike about Sprout, but a few areas of improvement could be adding spellcheck to posts and simpler navigation on the main dashboard. I normally have to click around to find what I'm looking for, doesn't seem as intuitive as it could be.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing the volume of content and also seeing where gaps are with scheduling content has been extremely helpful.
I use sprout
What do you like best about the product?
Having all of my social media analytics in one place is very convenient. A quick look at the dashboard and I can determine how well we did in the previous week.
What do you dislike about the product?
When changing cards on a webpage sprout will often show the old card or not post a card at all. So I will have to go to the social media site myself and post the content to ensure that the correct preview is displayed for the page.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Measuring the post that do well and the ones that do not. Using that information to grow our brand.
Sprout Social Makes Life Easier
What do you like best about the product?
I love that I can schedule posts to all of our my school's social media platforms and have it send (mostly) automatically. It allows me to be able to be off work when I'm off. I also think the social media reports are stellar. They provide everything that our headmaster wants to see in a visually-appealing manner. Additionally, the photo editing ability is terrific and makes my life easier.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish that I could post multiple photos and also stories to Instagram automatically. I understand that is an Instagram issue that is out of Sprout Social's control but it is still something I wish was available. Also, I do wish the cost was a little less. As a non-profit organization, our budget is extremely limited. We do struggle at times to justify the cost of Sprout Social. I wish that I could click and drag photos when attaching multiple photos to a scheduled post to rearrange them rather than having to delete and start over. I've also been experiencing a couple of issues: 1) If I create a Facebook post and then try to duplicate it for other platforms, it doesn't work. I have to create the post for Instagram or Twitter to be able to duplicate it for other platforms. 2) At times, when I'm creating a social media post, after I schedule the post, the black menu that shows what other posts are scheduled for that day remains up until I schedule the post. That makes it almost impossible to edit photos which then makes it so I can't schedule some posts.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In my position, I am trying to fill multiple roles while still working 40 hours a week. Without Sprout Social, I would not be able to get as much accomplished. Before Sprout Social, we were not doing any social media reporting. Now, I can run reports and send them to our headmaster in under 5 minutes.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Sprout Social is the best social media solution that I have used. I am still learning to use all of the features (because there are so many) even after two years. It definitely meets my needs as a one-woman-show in my role with my employer.
Huge Time Saver
What do you like best about the product?
Sprout Social allows us to manage multiple clients and social media accounts from an easy to use platform - saving us valuable time from having to go to each platform natively. The reporting features also save time and provides our clients with valuable insights on their account performance.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some connectivity issues with channels and we have experienced some difficulty using the tool to find Twitter posts dated back.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Saving time with easy reporting, allowing our team to work on other projects. We are also able to find relevant content to share on our profiles with hashtag monitoring.
Most Consistent Social Management tool for the last 11 years
What do you like best about the product?
Sprout has consistently been the best social management tool I've used at various organizations. I have used it since 2011. It is always improving and keeping up with the latest trends in social media without over-inflating the cost like many other services. Its integration of AI tools has been well thought out and actually adds value, unlike others that basically add AI as a sales gimmick. The staff at Sprout are helpful and very communicative.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't really dislike anything specific to Sprout's features themselves. I do wish some of the premium analytics were part of the standard analytics as I cannot justify the cost of the premium version for a few analytics but that is basically it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
One of the key areas that we utilize Sprout is social media analytics. It provides great insights into our channels and presents them in a very visual and easy to understand way for our stakeholders who do not have a background in analytics. Plus it has the capability to do deeper dives into the metrics if we want to do so as well. Additionally, as a one person social media team, Sprout saves me so much time and acts almost like a second staff member.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Set up a call with Sprout if you are on the fence about it. They are great to work with and give good demos. But after utilizing several platforms over my career, I'd say Sprout is near the top if not the top when it comes to ease of use, features, and price.
#1 social media tool
What do you like best about the product?
The top reason that I love Sprout is the ability to have all of my feeds condensed into a single easy to read message feed. I manage social media accounts for 4 different brands and I would go crazy without it.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are a few things that I am not the happiest about. The first one is I miss the old way where you could easily type the time into the scheduled posts. The drop down menus take a little longer to navigate. Secondly I would love to see the ability to use the sprout queue on specific days. For instance being able to drop something today, but also being able to make a post 2 days from now and drop it into that day's queue. Finally I would love to see you guys open up more accounts to be able to be added on your base account. While Sprout is a great value I manage so many brands and have to pick and choose what accounts live on Sprout which is a super bummer.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing 4 brands is pretty hard for one person. Being able to see everything on one page is simply amazing.
