Highly Recommend Over Buffer
What do you like best about the product?
I like the intuitive navigation and visual layout and the ability to view a post as it appears online and share months worth of content with clients or editors.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like that once you've published, you cannot edit the post within Sprout Social itself, only Facebook/IG. Buffer does allow that option to edit a published post on Buffer itself.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's solving the problem of managing multiple social media channels for multiple companies all in one platform that I can easily access and preview and edit. It's benefiting me by helping me plan content in advance--months ahead of time.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I prefer it to Buffer for navigation, visual layout, clarity, and general options.
Social Media Specialist Using Sprout
What do you like best about the product?
Publishing calendar, asset library, smart inbox, optimal posting times. Sprout is great for collaborating and staying organized when managing several social accounts.
What do you dislike about the product?
We have had a lot of trouble posting through Sprout when uploading videos. When trying to attach srt files for the captions, something always goes wrong. I am working with Support to resolve this issue.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sprout is helping us solve the issue of content planning. Being able to schedule posts and send them out across various platforms is really great--and I love the Optimal Times feature to help inform your posting schedule.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Get to know all of the capabilities and use them! Tags and filters are really great when you take the time to apply them.

I wish the story scheduling and reel scheduling were more accessible and usable.

Sprout Social is giving me back time in my day and the reporting helps me unlock better social strategy to post better-performing content.

I have used 5+ competitors in the social space. Sprout is the best of them all.
Social media management simplified
What do you like best about the product?
The in-depth reports by platform and by post performance provide really good insights into the success or failure of a social media profile. The data offers good insights that help make adjustments in almost real time.
What do you dislike about the product?
I've encountered this recently. When a post can't post because of some kind of error, I haven't been able to find out why and how I could re-try posting the post.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
One of the best assets Sprout Social provides is the ability to show optimal posting times. While it's not an exact science, it does offer assistance to give you a general idea of when your posts tend to have the most success.
Very useful tool, but missing some features
What do you like best about the product?
Simple and intuitive interface with a multitude of functionalities to have everything you need grouped in one place.
What do you dislike about the product?
When it comes to reporting, data is confusing: different in each section, and changing depending on the day you check it (ex. selecting the same past date to analyze). Not sure if it's mistaken or just not as easy to interpretate.

Sprout it's a good tool but I miss some analysis functionalities

It's very easy to use and intuitive. You can manage many social accounts from a single tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like it even more if it had some more analytics functionalities, especially for reels on Instagram.

It lets me schedule the content, which frees me from a lot of work on a day-to-day basis.

All of the data and system is so old and really difficult to use daily.

We were using this in the international project with our client for 15 european markets but it was really bad tool.
Good tool but overpriced for what you get

the reporting section is unrivalled - it's also really simple to use

The cost. It's just so expensive to be able to do the things other platforms (such as Loomly) allow you to do for a fraction of the cost.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Social scheduling and social media reporting.
Versatile and powerful tool
What do you like best about the product?
Very intuitive and easy to manage posting calendar. New social media platform enhancements (Instagram stories and TikTok). Reporting is insightful and helpful.

Having to renew social media profiles every few months.

Eliminating manual posting of content on each platform, consolidated reporting, etc.

Sprout is very robust and versatile with excellent an customer success team.

What do you like best about the product?
Sprout is very easy to use and I enjoy having all of the social media platforms together and in one place. It is easy to navigate and makes handling social media queries very hassle free.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is not much to dislike about spout, to be honest. The only thing I would say is that when switching from public post to private message, it would be useful for it to say private message sent instead of reply posted.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sprout social helps us communicate with those interested in the Birmingham commonwealth games as well as helped us to communicate with volunteers, ticket holders and successful QBR bearers.
