Sprout Social is awesome, but has some gaps to be filled!
What do you like best about the product?
I love Sprout for it's ease of use, especially since we use Sprout multiple times a day every day! It is extremely user friendly in terms of it's Smart Inbox and Publishing! We love the tagging feature to monitor customer feedback as well. We also are super thankful we can pull in organic and paid comments to monitor. It was extremely easy to integrate all of our social accounts.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think the biggest things that we dislike about Sprout are things that we just cannot afford. Social Listening is extremely important to us and we wish we could access a fraction of it without going over budget. We have met with our customer support rep about pricing and it is a just a bit outrageous for us. Similarly, we hoped we could add more profiles to our account without any extra fee. Including Reddit, which I don't believe is an option now.
We also don't love the reporting tools and find them a bit inaccurate. We end up doing a lot of calculations ourselves because we can't rely on the reporting tools 100%. Otherwise, we are grateful for Sprout and I have been using them throughout my professional career!

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sprout is helping us solve the issue of bandwidth within our team to respond to comments on all of our social profiles.
Great for scheduling and optimizing social media content
What do you like best about the product?
I enjoy the use of the optimal times to schedule social media posts!
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, haven't run into anything that I dislike. Sprout has been working wonders for me.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sprout is helping us compile all of our accounts into one area, not having to sign into our different social media accounts saves me lots of time.
Ease of Use & Managing Content Calendar
What do you like best about the product?
Sprout Social is very easy user friendly for scheduling social media posts and managing the content calendar.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish it had better integration with Slack and the ability to approve posts and notify users when profiles need to be reconnected. I have a love hate relationship when tagging users, sometimes the profiles don't always show up when I go to tag another brand.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sprout Social makes scheduling social media posts for a variety of different channels easy and you can look at the calendar at a glance to see what content is being posted when. It saves me time when content needs to be posted across LinkedIn, X, Instagram, and Facebook when I can duplicate the post with the same settings and tweak language in the caption. I also like the link in bio feature how it updates automatically.
Efficient Tool with Occasional Kinks
What do you like best about the product?
I enjoy that, at a company with multiple social channels across multiple markets, we can easily coordinate our messaging and brand continuity. The approval process for posts is intuitive and user-friendly. I also appreciate the AI tools like optimal posting time or copy reivision.
What do you dislike about the product?
We've had issues with bugs. Some accounts get logged out and are unable to rejoin without customer service intervention. Some posts are edited prior to approval, but then the edits don't make their way to the actual post itself on the platform. Also, I believe too many of their capabilities are hidden behind a new price tier. We spend a lot of money with Sprout and it can leave a bad taste when it feels as though the tools we need to be successful on the platform somehow require more money.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps to streamline the process of approving social media posts across various platforms and markets. It allows me to have an aerial view of what our employees are posting, what's working well, and how to share those successes with other users. It adds a level of ease that allows us to operate at scale.
A Powerful Tool for Managing Multi-Channel Social Media
What do you like best about the product?
I’ve been using Sprout for several months, and as someone managing social media for a larger organization with multiple pages and channels, I’ve found it to be highly effective. Our team makes extensive use of the tagging feature, which streamlines the organization and categorization of our content. One of the features I’ve come to appreciate most recently is cross-network customization, which significantly enhances efficiency when publishing similar content across multiple platforms.
What do you dislike about the product?
Occasionally, we experience minor glitches with the platform, such as accounts becoming unlinked. While these instances are infrequent, they can be disruptive. Additionally, one area for potential improvement would be enabling the ability to schedule videos and photo carousels together as one post for Instagram, which would greatly enhance our content planning and publishing workflow.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sprout Social enables me to build a curated content calendar with posts that can be scheduled and automatically published, significantly improving efficiency and saving time. Additionally, the platform offers intuitive tools for organizing tags and content, allowing our team to easily categorize and revisit topics for review or analysis.
Strong but Expensive for What You Get
What do you like best about the product?
Sprout Social is a powerful publisher and social listening tool. Compared to other platforms, there is superior functionality in both of these areas.
What do you dislike about the product?
The analytics side of Sprout Social leaves a lot to be desired. Reps were not able to assist in terms of meaningfully dividing paid and organic results, making reporting so muddled it's almost useless. Additionally, with social media advancing into the importance of trending audio, shoppable posts (TikTok) and other modern features, we don't use Sprout as often.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sprout Social provides a powerful solution for social listening. We're able to handle our customer service primarily through the platform, which is a time saver.
Sprout review
What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy it is to post to multiple social media accounts at once. I also enjoy the ease of the approval / submission section.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that you are only able to post 4 photos on instagram from sprout. On Instagram you can post 10 photos normally, you can also combine videos and photos into one post, but you can't on sprout.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
There is not a current problem that they are solving that benefits me.
Great Scheduling Tool!
What do you like best about the product?
I’ve been using Sprout’s scheduling tool for over a year, and it’s been a game-changer for our social media workflow. I love how seamlessly it supports team collaboration, pinpoints optimal posting times, and delivers clear, actionable reporting.
What do you dislike about the product?
Customer support for the scheduling tool has been excellent—responsive and helpful every time. That said, the Advocacy platform feels less intuitive, and support there hasn’t quite measured up. There’s definitely room to improve the user experience.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Great reporting, scheduling content in advance and easy collaboration across departments.
I've been using sprout social for three years
What do you like best about the product?
I like that you can see all messages across all platforms in one inbox
What do you dislike about the product?
the UI is sometimes a bit confusing and there are clitches
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Its saving me time posting
An all-in-one Social Media Analytics platform
What do you like best about the product?
I do love that Sprout Social has sections for almost everything - publishing, listing, reporting. The analytics are very in-depth, with the ability to tag posts under certain categories and track campaigns. Post scheduling is very easy to understand and you can differentiate specifics of the posts by platform now, which is an excellent feature. We use this tool on my team daily for scheduling and share of voice reporting. Our customer support contacts are always on top of it, and give us answers to any questions in a timely manner. They also help us build out reports.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not like the fact that some key features of posting are missing from the platform. I cannot schedule polls on LinkedIn or X, and I cannot schedule threads on X, Threads, or Bluesky. This forces us to use the native platform weekly. They can be a little slow to bring in new and emerging social media platforms like Bluesky to the platform. This is an API issue, but no listening for LinkedIn is a huge missed opportunity.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
They are helping us with calendar management and post scheduling, post and profile analytics, competitor reports and social media share of voice tracking, influencer tracking, and executive tracking.
