Love the platform and the people!

What do you like best about the product?
I love how interactive the Sprout employees are in making sure we have all the tools and resources we need. The reporting feature is also really great, detailed and helpful. I love that we can customize our reports and present the most important information to our CEO. It helps those who are not familiar with social media practices read the information with ease. I'm really interested in diving more into the listening tool as paid feature, soon, hopefully. I always use your "best time to post" suggestions as well and our posts typically do well with the suggestions. So, I think those are super helpful. Oh! The Facebook group is also SO helpful and such a great community to be part of. I love that I can continue to expand my knowledge and bounce ideas off other social media professionals.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that we don't have a "link in bio" feature for Instagram. That would truly seal the deal and we wouldn't have to use a third party service instead. Sprout would be a one-stop-shop.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We've improved our response time on Facebook tremendously thanks to the great notifications and ability to respond in-app. We've also realized how great the social listening tool can be and have suggested we add this to our plan (internally). The reporting feature is a great benefit to us and the customizability of it.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you're considering Sprout, definitely make the decision. The platform is amazing, so resourceful and the employees are amazing. They reach out and make sure you have all the tools you need to make the best use of Sprout and are always really down to earth. They also have a Facebook community (group) that is AMAZING to learn from.

Sprout Social is user-friendly and robust

What do you like best about the product?
Intuitive system, informative and accurate
What do you dislike about the product?
I'm not a huge fan of the current tagging report, I'd like to see more data.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Social scheduling
Social monitoring
Social reporting
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Sprout is a wonderful tool for businesses that need an easy, but in-depth out of the box solution. If you don't want to waste time setting up custom reporting, you can use their default reports and they'll typically meet your reporting needs. Programming content, editing images, previewing, and programming are a breeze. The social inbox is also easy to use. If you don't require heavy automation for your social needs, this is the perfect tool for your organization and it is very reasonably priced for the tools you get, as well as the service and support. I also love that they have Facebook groups for marketing and agency partners, this is a significant help for those moments when you need to seek outside help.

Great scheduling, multiple account management, & reporting

  • November 19, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
My favorite thing about Sprout Social is the recommended posting times, which help me to improve engagement with individual posts across platforms. The scheduling features and the functionality allow me to easily manage multiple accounts across multiple platforms without confusion. The reporting feature is a huge time-saver and allows me to communicate the results of my social media efforts clearly and easily. I also really like the various educational opportunities that Sprout Social offers consistently via webinar. These keep me apprised of new or updated features and help me understand the best ways in which to use them. I also really like the content finder. This helps me to keep up a steady stream of content even during periods when we may be generating less original content. The dashboard is a great way to see how things are going at a quick glance. The publishing calendar is extremely helpful to me as I plan content, as is the newer "notes" feature, which allows me to plan out my content over a long period of time while bypassing draft posts.
What do you dislike about the product?
Filters aren't sticky through multiple sessions, meaning I have to reselect them with every login. Additionally, I would like to be able to use Sprout Social to post multiple photos to Instagram without having to use the mobile app at the time of posting to accomplish this. This is my one biggest pet peeve about Sprout Social, as it forces me to reengage with content that has already been scheduled at inconvenient times--content that I would like to be finished with once it's scheduled (barring responses) as I am with all other types of posts. This causes me a little bit of extra stress. Generally speaking, I find the mobile app (iOS) to be fairly buggy and not very intuitive, which reduces my use of it to almost none (other than the aforementioned Instagram posts) except when I am traveling, on vacation, or cannot access my desktop computer for some other reason. One other thing that's somewhat unhelpful is that the dashboard consistently tells me that I have new messages, even if I have already cleared all of them out of the inbox. This makes this specific dashboard feature essentially useless to me, since I have to go in and manually check regardless of what the dashboard says.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sprout Social actually improves my mental health by allowing me to schedule posts across multiple platforms. This allows me to disengage from work appropriately. I also really like the image resize feature, which allows me to quickly and easily crop photos to optimize them for different platforms. This is very convenient and hugely time-saving for me. Sprout Social also solves a collaboration issue for me within my organization by allowing designated individuals to submit content to me that I can then review and schedule as it aligns with our overall social media strategy. Task assignment across our larger organization is also extremely useful in achieving our response goals. I also find it very useful to be able to use this product in order to compare my organization with others.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Definitely do a thorough evaluation of what Sprout Social can offer you, based on your needs. Something else may work better for you. However, if you're part of a complex organization with many accounts, Sprout Social has many solutions.

Time-Saving Social Media Management with Room for AI Enhancement

  • November 19, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I use Sprout Social for social media management, and it really helps me save time because I don't need to manually post. I can easily batch schedule content at the best time for each platform, and I like how it helps me report on metrics for leadership and keep up with content. It also allows me to repurpose content for different platforms without having to guess the best time for maximum visibility. Even though I wasn't involved in its initial setup, it was easy for me to learn and get used to.
What do you dislike about the product?
The AI assist feature is a bit clunky. If I copy and paste information into the caption box and then click AI assist for help with refining the caption, none of the options feel right.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sprout Social saves me time by automating posts, helps with reporting metrics for leadership, and keeps me updated with content. Its batch scheduling feature allows me to repurpose content for different platforms easily and post at optimal times.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Definitely give it a shot. You'll love it for the ease of reporting and scheduling content. Additionally, the company sends out incredibly useful webinars for members very often. It makes professional development a breeze.

I love that I can quickly schedule out all of the content for an entire week or even a month and not have to worry about missing a day of posting. This allows me to spend more time dedicated to other important tasks instead of posting daily.

I would love to see auto-posting to Instagram stories as a feature. It would be a time-saver if this was an available feature.

I highly recommend!

What do you like best about the product?
First of all, Sprout is user friendly. It's easy to schedule publications (Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, and more), analyze the performance of publications, evaluate the overall performance of our social media, do customer management (messages never go unnoticed) and much more.
With the performance data, we can know what's working, what's failing and what can be improved upon. It help us which social networks our target audience spend their time, and then focus on it.
Also, they offer some really interesting webinars.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's hard to answer this question, because I love everything about this platform.
They offer you the support you need to solve your problems and answer your questions.
I thing the only downside to our business is that Instagram private messages cannot be managed in Sprout. We have a team that takes care of customer service and unfortunately they cannot do this part of their job. So it's the social media team who have to manage this part and sometimes that makes our job difficult. + we can't upload video or GIF on Instagram when using Sprout :(
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sprout makes it easier to analyze the performance of our social media. We can know what's working, what's failing and what can be improved upon. It help us which social networks our target audience spend their time, and then focus on it.
Sprout monitor the engagement with our posts. So, we know which posts are performing well and which ones aren’t. We can review our strategy depending on what works and what doesn't.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you’re working with many team, you can make sure that no one is duplicating efforts.
Eveything is there.

    Non-Profit Organization Management

Simple to use and visually appealing.

What do you like best about the product?
Very easy to run reports and share analytics with team. It's been much easier to explain the value of the work that's being done on social media.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, nothing really. I've been super happy with the platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Providing easy to understand social analytics has been an issue in my organization. It's exciting to be able to run weekly reports to give others an understanding of the work being done and it's value.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Watch the training videos and take advantage of the webinars!

Easy to use, but complex enough to get the job done

  • November 19, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love the UI. Sprout is much easier to understand and navigate than other products I've used.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish the reporting was more user-friendly, especially when you want to export into a CSV. The data just doesn't come out right. I'm having to make pivot tables and everything if I just want to compare YOY.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am getting a clear picture of where our social efforts are going, and where they should be shifted due to the publishing tool and the smart inbox.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would recommend purchasing the largest plan and note that Listening and more expanded data insights are an extra fee, however that information is worth knowing. It's much simpler to understand than, say, Salesforce's option or Sprinklr. It's not overkill, but it's also not dumbed-down. It would work very well for any level of social media management experience.
