Powerful Platform with Some Frustrating Quirks.
What do you like best about the product?
Having all social media platforms in one central software. I enjoy the reporting snapshots with graphs and tables that I can use in my reports. I also enjoy having the option to provide high-level performance overviews or dive into each platform at a more granular level. I also like having an approval process for my team. There is also sufficient support in the form of articles and guidance.
What do you dislike about the product?
-Cannot currently post mixed media to Facebook or Instagram (video and photo).
-Feedback for post rejections needs a larger character limit for adequate instructions.
-Social listening component struggles to identify tone.
-"AI" suggested post times seem very wonky at times, suggesting we post in the middle of the night...
-seem to run into issues where Sprout will compress the image quality on our photos or videos... posting straight to the native platform works fine, but Sprout will reduce the quality.

Competitive Analysis Tool That Adapts to Changing Social Trends
What do you like best about the product?
The competitive analysis! It has been an incredibly useful tool while we reshape our social pages in an ever changing online environment
What do you dislike about the product?
Our page analytics can sometimes be unreliable when comparing the same analytics to our meta metrics
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Comparing competing brands / accounts to see how they best perform, particularly on meta - and adapting our social strategies around their successes!
Great Analytics, But Tagging Limitations Hurt Organic Posting
What do you like best about the product?
The statistics are excellent and offer valuable insights. Our team relies on them during board meetings and for keeping a comprehensive data archive.
What do you dislike about the product?
You can't tag posts unless you're posting directly through Sprout, which is a real drawback for content creators who need to publish organically on each platform. Because of this limitation, the tagging system ends up being useless for those situations. Tagging is such a huge part of sprout, so not being able to do this is a huge downfall...

I appreciate the calendar section that displays what our team posts each day across different platforms. This feature helps us remain accountable for our posting schedule, and the notes system within the calendar lets us set deadlines for each other. It also makes it easy to track what everyone is working on. Also not having to manually research data is nice, being able to find data on sprout to compare to past years is nice. I wish there was a way to filter out some posts so that boosted posts could be taken out of social media performance statistics (this would be helpful for our team that organically posts to see how they are performing without boosts, etc. )
Great for Research but Needs Metric Improvements
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate Sprout Social for its ease of use, as it is very straightforward, allowing me to navigate and utilize the platform effectively without requiring extensive training. The reporting features, particularly the trend and competitor reports, are incredibly valuable for my research, strategy development, and discussions with both prospects and current clients. I frequently rely on these reports to inform my strategies, and they enhance my communication with clients. Additionally, I like how easy it is to find creators using Sprout Social and I value the visual elements that allow me to see the content creators are producing, ensuring it aligns with my brand styles. This visual insight is crucial for evaluating potential collaborations and campaigns.
What do you dislike about the product?
I am extremely frustrated by the lack of view counts provided by Sprout Social, which is a crucial metric for my clients who are more interested in views than followers. This absence complicates my ability to calculate influencer fees accurately, as views heavily impact these calculations. Additionally, the limitation to PDF exports is problematic, as my clients prefer spreadsheets to quickly add up views and share succinct stats with their teams. This limitation is a frequent issue and might lead us to consider other platforms. Furthermore, the setup process was inefficient for us as a tech-savvy agency. The training was overly step-by-step and redundant, when we simply needed to address specific questions in a single call rather than multiple sessions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Sprout Social for identifying relevant creators and conducting brand research, leveraging trend and competitor reports. It streamlines my strategy development and client communication, despite lacking view count metrics and having limited export options.
Great all-in-one solution for social with some room for improvement
What do you like best about the product?
You can manage multiple social streams in one place, perform some bulk actions, group posts by tag, and tag specific social profiles.
What do you dislike about the product?
Bulk actions are limited and limit what else you can do while making a bulk change, translation is slow, you can't modify the color of tags, the interface in general is a bit slow.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sprout helps keep multiple social feeds in one place. It also enables cross team collaboration and escalation.
Great for Inbox Management, But Reporting Needs Improvement
What do you like best about the product?
The Inbox helps me keep on top of comments and mentions.
What do you dislike about the product?
Reporting doesn't always seem correct. It sometimes conflicts with what I get from Meta.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is helping us get socials out on multiple platforms easily, check what people are saying about us, and report.
Great Features, But Platform Alignment Needs Improvement
What do you like best about the product?
Being able to schedule content and manage multiple platforms in one. I use this site every day
What do you dislike about the product?
The tools that are in Sprout are NOT aligned with the tools offered on the platforms or the apps.
1. can't pull in trending audio
2. can't add polls etc to the comment of Instagram through sprout

Reliable Reporting and Clean Dashboards, But Analytics Need Depth/Accuracy
What do you like best about the product?
Sprout has somewhat reliable data collection and export features that make reporting and analysis straightforward. It’s easy to navigate once you’re familiar with the platform, and it integrates well across social channels for pulling basic metrics. The dashboards look clean and professional, which helps when sharing reports internally.
What do you dislike about the product?
Publishing tools often cause formatting issues with images and links when posts go live. Social listening metrics have been inconsistent and hard to trust compared to other platforms. The analytics feel focused on surface-level vanity metrics instead of meaningful engagement insights, and some simple features, like sticky date ranges or flexible metric options, are surprisingly clunky.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sprout helps centralize and organize our social performance data in one place, which streamlines basic reporting across platforms. It’s useful for quick overviews and exports, though we still rely on native platform analytics for the most accurate and actionable insights. The benefit is mainly convenience, not depth of analysis.
Visually Appealing and User-Friendly, But Feature Limits Hold It Back
What do you like best about the product?
Sprout's platform is visually appealing and becomes quite user-friendly after spending a few weeks getting familiar with its layout. We mainly use it to schedule Instagram content and take advantage of its LinkInBio feature, which has significantly improved how our social team manages their content.
What do you dislike about the product?
However, there are some platform limitations tied to different plans that restrict access to certain features. For example, adding URL parameters for tracking is only available in higher tiers, even though many alternative tools provide this functionality for free in their basic versions. The onboarding process felt overwhelming because it involved explanations for all the various tabs. Additionally, I found it challenging that reports are scattered across different sections, making it difficult to combine them easily.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
From a time management standpoint, Sprout helps our team save significant time and effort when it comes to managing and scheduling posts on Instagram. The platform also offers useful tagging features, which make it easier for us to monitor campaign performance for our clients and keep track of our internal initiatives.
Easy Navigation to social posts and Helpful Filters, But Missing UGC Collection
What do you like best about the product?
I like the easy access to go from Sprout to the native social channel and see the post its referring to. The filters for post performance are also very helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
Theres no UGC collection. Also the tagging system isn't my favorite. With another service there is sections and tags within those sections that make it more user friendly. So instead of having to remember each tag, you just fill out each section with the proper tags ensuring you don't miss any tags.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Collecting all data and organizing it.
