Centralized Marketing Hub with Improvement Potential
What do you like best about the product?
I love using Sprout Social for our marketing team as it serves as an excellent content calendar. It efficiently organizes our marketing efforts and strategies all in one place, making it easy to reference and manage multiple tasks. I particularly appreciate the calendar view, as it allows me to see all our marketing tactics in one centralized location. This feature provides a comprehensive overview, which helps in planning and executing our campaigns effectively. The ability to integrate Sprout Social with other tools like Shopify and TripleWhale enhances its functionality and streamlines our workflow, making it a valuable tool for managing our marketing activities.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish we could incorporate other channels, such as email and SMS marketing, just for viewing purposes so we can get a whole picture in one platform. Being able to add an email and/or SMS message as a 'post' on that day would help us see an image of what that campaign looks like and how it can tie back to the social content. Additionally, I felt the onboarding was a bit much with all the meetings.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Sprout Social to centralize our marketing campaigns, effectively managing and scheduling content while identifying influencers.
Streamlined Account Management, Needs More Features
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate how Sprout Social significantly eases the process of managing multiple social media accounts. It allows me to schedule posts across a multitude of accounts simultaneously, saving me time and ensuring consistent communication across platforms. I particularly like the ability to post the same content across all channels at once, which is invaluable when managing around 27 different property accounts. This feature streamlines communication efforts and removes the tedious task of scheduling the same content repeatedly. Additionally, the tagging and campaign features are robust, allowing me to efficiently group content and report on engagement by pulling tags into campaigns. These organizational tools enhance our ability to evaluate content performance, leading to more informed decision-making. I also found the initial setup of Sprout Social to be intuitive and straightforward, thanks to the attentive support team that ensured all our questions were answered promptly. Our switch to Sprout Social was motivated by the comprehensive reporting features it offers, which were not available in our previous tool. Overall, Sprout Social’s features elevate our social media management capabilities effectively.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are significant platform limitations that affect my experience with Sprout Social. The biggest issue is the inability to delete a post from a channel through Sprout Social. This limitation has caused problems for our team when managing content. Additionally, the lack of text formatting options, such as the ability to bold or italicize text, limits how we can present content. These missing features hinder the overall functionality and flexibility needed for effective social media management.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Sprout Social to manage multiple social media accounts from a central location, simplifying post scheduling and improving engagement reporting with tags and campaigns.
Great Scheduling and Reporting, But Features Can Be Overwhelming
What do you like best about the product?
I like how Sprout lets me schedule content in advance across multiple channels and how it reports on content helping me to determine what pieces resonate more with audiences.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes I think the feautures are overwhelming and wish they had breakdowns on the pages in Sprout about how/what to use them for.

Managing content, setting up schedules, and generating reports.
Sprout Social: Reliable, Intuitive, and Essential for Agencies
What do you like best about the product?
I’ve been using Sprout Social for over 15 years, starting when I worked at a social media agency and continuing through the past decade running my own. It’s been one of the most reliable and intuitive platforms I’ve used for managing multiple clients, scheduling content, and reporting on performance. The interface is clean, the customer support has always been responsive, and the reporting tools make it easy to showcase value to clients.
What do you dislike about the product?
The past couple of years I’ve noticed what seem like increasing discrepancies in Meta analytics data, particularly when comparing Sprout’s numbers to native platform insights. It’s not a dealbreaker, but it does make campaign reporting a little more complicated. Also, I am NOT convinced that "best posting times" is accurate in any sense. It would be great to see some real data to back that up.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use it for scheduling posts across multiple platforms, monitoring engagement, and responding to comments efficiently. The Instagram tools are especially helpful, as I rely on the grid view to plan cohesive feeds and the link-in-bio feature to drive traffic directly to key content. Having all of this organized within a single dashboard saves me hours each week and gives me a clear, consistent view of performance across accounts.
Great Creator Search, But Some Aspects Need Improvement
What do you like best about the product?
The creator search options and contracting & the reporting functionality
What do you dislike about the product?
It's hard to filter/sort creators by top engaging or top followings
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Social reporting efficiency and influencer search
Convenient All-in-One Tools, But Connectivity Needs Improvement
What do you like best about the product?
I love the report builder, one-sheet builder, and creator search option. Having all of the elements in one place is convenient from a usability standpoint. From an agency standpoint, it's nice having a CX associate.
What do you dislike about the product?
Several athletes we work with experience connectivity issues. I would appreciate an option to connect Meta products individually. For instance, one athlete had her Facebook account hacked years ago. Although she no longer uses Facebook, her account still cannot link to Sprout Social, even though we do not need to use Facebook itself. Manually entering stats, where permitted, is a tedious and time-consuming process.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing campaign activations and having credible stats and metrics to take to clients is a huge win in the boutique marketing space we occupy.
Comprehensive Social Management, Costly Integration Add-Ons
What do you like best about the product?
I found Sprout Social particularly valuable for its easy navigation, which simplifies the otherwise complex task of managing various aspects of social media. The robust tagging system was extremely useful as it allowed us to segment content effectively based on regions, issue areas, and specific cohorts relevant to our organization. This feature enabled us to provide meaningful reports to our philanthropic and program teams, highlighting opportunities for engagement and areas requiring more attention. Additionally, the feature that flagged earned mentions was invaluable. It kept us informed about what was being said about our organization, allowing our small team to leverage earned media effectively, which is crucial for our operations.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that the Salesforce integration, which was a key factor in choosing Sprout Social, turned out to be an additional add-on feature rather than being included in the main package. This unexpected cost was a significant setback for us. Furthermore, the overall pricing of Sprout Social is expensive, and as a small nonprofit organization, we found it unjustifiable to continue investing in the platform if it does not fully meet our needs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I find Sprout Social unifies social media management, with easy navigation, a robust tagging system for detailed reporting, and media monitoring that helps our small team leverage earned mentions effectively.
Great Scheduling Features, But Room for Improvement on Social Listening
What do you like best about the product?
The calendar and scheduling tool, the setup of post/platform performance data is very helpful and easy to navigate
What do you dislike about the product?
The social listening tool was confusing to use and unhelpful, it was unable to do most of what I needed it for
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm able to schedule through sprout social and pull data from multiple channels at once which saves lots of time
Strong Features but Needs Improvement in Reliability
What do you like best about the product?
I have been using Sprout Social for a year, primarily for social post scheduling and performance marketing, and I appreciate the clarity it provides in understanding how our content is performing, particularly through its clear analysis of audience demographics. One of my favorite features is the calendar view for scheduling content; it offers a clear visual dashboard that gives me a bird's-eye view over all scheduled activities, facilitating an organized and efficient content management process. I am also impressed with the social listening capabilities and the user experience (UX), which are integral to enhancing our interaction with the platform. The initial setup of Sprout Social was very easy, making the transition smooth for my team.
What do you dislike about the product?
I encountered issues with post scheduling where some posts didn't go out as planned. Additionally, I faced difficulties with tagging people in posts, which affected the effectiveness of our social media interactions. I also wish that the default setting would post the image, as having to adjust settings for this is inconvenient.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I find Sprout Social clarifies content performance with clear analytics on audience demographics, providing a visual dashboard for social scheduling and listening.
Overpriced for Its Features, But Easy to Use
What do you like best about the product?
I found Sprout Social to be a powerful and easy-to-use platform that provided a one-stop-shop experience for managing our organic social media platforms. It was straightforward to use, which made it simple to onboard various team members across the company into the tool, allowing them to take on responsibilities efficiently. Additionally, the platform offered the capability to enhance brand safety by ensuring that responses could be controlled and approved before posting. It made scheduling and posting social media updates seamless, and enabled a collaborative environment for multiple users, giving me confidence as a head of marketing to approve the necessary actions. This ease-of-use extended to how social media accounts could be connected, simplifying the initial setup process significantly.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find Sprout Social to be very expensive for our needs. There are many competitors offering better price points now. Additionally, we found the platform to be overpowered for our requirements, and we needed a simpler tool. The cost of API access is another issue, as it's quite high even at a high-tier plan. This was a significant reason for switching to another product, as it hindered our ability to integrate with our AI workflows.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Sprout Social to schedule posts and analyze social media performance, enhancing our organic social strategies. It simplifies onboarding and team collaboration, providing a comprehensive platform for social management and brand protection.
