Support is HORRIBLE
What do you like best about the product?
I like the tool but the support issues are overwhelming the value of the tool. Trying to look for a comparable tool
What do you dislike about the product?
Support is absolutely horrible. Normally a big fan but I've had control ctr deleted and I have spent over A WEEK trying to get it fixed so far no resolution. Seriously consider this tool before recommending for clients that need quick turnaround on issues or support.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Right now you can't say it's benifiting me because the support is so awful my clients are concerned about using the product.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Great tool, easy to use with lots of new features. Recommend designating a super user in the organization who is certified to help answer questions and support product development

What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet can be a very quick and simple to use tool to break down a schedule, or can be used to the extreme and keep you from overallocating resources. Very flexible based on user skill level.
What do you dislike about the product?
Exporting schedules in a readable format is nearly impossible.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping a project on time and determining the critical path.

What do you like best about the product?
How easy to use the tool to collaborate with the team, not just the team member in the company, also with our customers, which is not easy to do with another online-based tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
Creating wedigets with charts is a feature that I like and use very often, but some of the fonts can't be adjusted so the flexiability is less than let's say microsoft excel.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The dashboard feature resolves the reporting issue we used to generate a monthly report in the past. If the receiver doesn't open the email right away, it usually takes time for people to find it later; the dashboard provides all the information in one place and is very easy to use for reviewing with the management team.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Smartsheet can replace any project management tool and are easy for everyone to learn and use; instead of using multiple tools to manage projects, now we can do everything in one place, no more switching around. Using SmartSheet will save you a lot of time and create a better view for managing the information.
Easy to navigate & use
What do you like best about the product?
I like the ease of creating sheets, then building forms. I like how easy it is to modify on the fly, pull and use data. Though I am not well versed yet, I like the data crunching/reports and dashboard functions. My team likes the ease of use and the fact we can review data anywhere from a mobile device, tablet, or pc. I am not using many dashboards, but the few we have created seem easy to create, navigate, modify and use.
What do you dislike about the product?
Large data files/sheets, trying to copy/backup and/or reduce the saved sheet size seems difficult. Currently I create a new sheet and copy data to an "archive" file. Not sure this is correct, but it is how I can deal with data-heavy sheets month over month with files over the 50,000 cell limits
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am using Smartsheet for QA audits. Collecting pass/fail data along with photographs as needed. Then data crunching to determine FPY, daily/weekly/monthly QA statistics, operator/shift quality, and soon pulling data for continuous improvement projects. Our sister plant is more skilled at Smartsheet and is using additional reporting features, charts graphs, and data analysis.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make time for the online tutorials and/or visit with existing users. I find Smartsheet will do "anything you want", however many times I don't know what I want! Having examples and other users' insight is beneficial. Even youtube videos help. With only a year under my belt, it is difficult to say what else I can use it for, but members in our other facility are entering and pulling data 10X what I am. I see this as a great tool in my future.

What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet has allowed our business to add automation to allow for better communication. We utilize sheets to notify a specific person or department of a pending task or update.
What do you dislike about the product?
Smartsheet needs a function to turn off the request for a license. Admins receive emails constantly regarding a request for license even though the employees are not required to have one.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Specifically for my department, we have setup multiple sheets to make our internal processes more efficient. Managers can submit a request through a smartsheet form versus printing the form, filling it out, and then sending it via email. This process saves time for the managers and ensures that our department receives the necessary information all at one time.
Really good product- but missing some functionality
What do you like best about the product?
I love the conditional formatting in Smartsheet. I also really love the filters and that you can share them. I use it all of the time!
What do you dislike about the product?
I feel like smartsheet is missing some basic functionality such as being able to filter based on columns (not only rows) or merge cells. I also would like to sort based on the same criteria without having to reset it every time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am able to create sheets for my entire team to use silmutaneously. This solves the problem of one team member overwriting the changes of another,
Smartsheets are for smaller businesses too!
What do you like best about the product?
I have had very little formal training. I have been able to maneuver through the worksheets easily. I like the ease of this program as well as the robust abilities it has.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a ton of training however I find that I have a hard time finding exactly what I need. The formulas are not very user friendly however, when I do get someone on the phone they walk it through with me.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Organizing and Communication for our employees have been huge for our progression. Keeping track of what's been billed and separate sheets for different phases of the business.
Great Production Tool for a Team
What do you like best about the product?
One of the best parts of smartsheet is allowing users to share a sheet, but lock it down so they can only view it, supplying a great tool for teams to view only the data or allowing them to update the data as a team.
In addition to sharing, I'm able to pull in data from DevOps via a thrid party system and create our Sprint Scrum boards for a handful of projects.

What do you dislike about the product?
Wish not paid accounts could edit select things within the smartsheet, just the cost of each license makes it hard to share some times.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
DevOps does not allow for report across projects, so with a thrid-party software that connects DevOps and Smartsheet together, I'm able to report on all my DevOps Projects in one location.

putting files into the spread sheet itself and the multiple viewing options.

The learning curve is a bit harsh but worth it.
It's not appealing to younger people. I was forced to worked with Monday a while ago because it looked more dynamic because of it's colors and all, but it was less functional.
Like a good dish, what matters most is the taste. But if you're gonna make a business out of it, it will require that it also looks good in every possible way.

It's all about efficiency. Instead of having to browse multiple files, almost everything fits in that spreadsheet so it makes the process faster. Easy to have files that interact with each other to create graphs, charts, etc..
Recommendations to others considering the product:
To simply try it! They wont go back to their other spreadsheets.
Rely on the tracking and reporting capabilities of SmartSheet
What do you like best about the product?
SmartSheet is easy to navigate, track, report, export; basically, everything I need to do in my day-to-day position. The platform has come a long way since we implemented it about 10 years ago. Customer support is responsive. I use SmartSheet all day, every day and couldn't do my job without it.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are a maximum amount of lines on a page, but it is rediculously high so it's not really an issue.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use SmartSheet to track our company's billing, send aging reports to clients, monitor what has paid and what hasn't. I can send location specific details.
