Smartsheet is my favorite project management tool!
What do you like best about the product?
The feature I like the most is the switching capability between the grid, Gantt, card, and calendar view. This feature alone is worth the price to admission as it allows customers to build complex project plans in the grid view while managing and monitoring the project via the card and Gantt views.
What do you dislike about the product?
The feature I dislike the most is the inability to track all tasks and subtasks and send them to the Salesforce Gainsight solution. The issue is that many customers track all tasks within Smartsheets and then need to replicate the same effort by recopying all tasks and subtasks into Salesforce Gainsight for Customer Success monitoring. This is not an efficient use of time for many CSMs as we are duplicating work.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Problems that I have been solving with Smartsheet has been planning successful customer deployments as well as identifying and tracking customer use cases on a quarterly basis.

What do you like best about the product?
Integration with Google products and its simplicity of use.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the features are hidden/obscrured. There is definitely a learning curve.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Collaboration in a live document vs. sharing versions of a spreadsheet back and forth.
Living in Smartsheet
What do you like best about the product?
This tool is amazingly user-friendly. Navigation is easy, building a document is very convenient. I like that all functions have a learning opportunity attached if you need help.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly after working in MSP for a few years and switching to Smartsheet, there are very few things I dislike. More of the inconveniences, there is no way to manually expand the cells in height (like in excel). Also, wishfull thinking if you could highlight a word in the test in the cell.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Smartsheet in Program Management. We use grids, reports, portals with all possible views. We create the roadmap for product launches and manage each launch with a project plan for the deliverables. Team lists with contact info, task tracking, calendar view for the in-office schedule; you name it, we utilize it!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Take the basic user courses at Smartsheet university (great tool) and follow along in a sandbox environment. This will help your decision.
A useful tool for our business
What do you like best about the product?
It allows me to program screeners and easily share information with my recruiters and clients. The spreadsheets are easy to use, and information entered through forms populates effectively.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are instances that I use Google over SmartSheet because of certain features SmartSheet does not offer. I wish there were a way to make suggestions to improve functionality. With a few improvements, I would use SmartSheet for all of our projects.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Smartsheet to track our database and for programming screeners for studies. It allows us to access and share the data collected easily. The ability to export to Excel and Google sheets is helpful.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
An excellent tool for our market research company for the purposes we use it. It's very user-friendly and easy to use.

What do you dislike about the product?
Many items that I would like the program to do have been requested for multiple years by other users, and many ideas would be helpful, but they never get implemented by SmartSheets.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The problem we are solving with Smartsheets is the ability to track projects and progress. It gives us one place to look at company overview.
SmartSheet Makes the Job Easy for Everyone
What do you like best about the product?
What I love best about SmartSheet is being able to move rows and create drop-down boxes quickly. The ease of it is a huge timesaver. I have multiple teams using Smartsheet, so the color-coding is great so that everyone knows what everything means. We're also able to create content so informaiton is readily accessiable for all. Being able to export the sheets is also a great option for archiving and sharing the sheet with those who may not need complete access. The rule creation is SO easy compared to other spreadsheets. You can change colors, cross items out, and have priority rules which makes it great for consistency no matter who is using it. The sharing access is also simple to use. We have multiple people that "view" our sheets, so that we can ensure no one is moving / making changes by accident.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like that sometimes it moves items around on its own. It's happened a few times and no one has moved, so not sure what happened there. Also, I wish there was a way to be able to see any changes made by someone who is not the "owner".
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Smartsheet for hire tracking, resumes, applications, and keeping track of payroll. Being able to have multiple departments use the same information is a game-changer. It creates work-flow and productivity increases in all aspects.

Time costs and inefficiencies have significantly decreased.

What do you like best about the product?
It can connect to a different software like Adobe for creating a word documents, also keep track of the status of a process in each team. Exporting and sharing function.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is some limitations for the system which we need to spend a lot of time investigating for functionality. If there are more training can be provided which is best to the user.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We try to connect this with some other google function for form submission internal, link this to Greenhouse and our internal intranet. Besides, we link it to our google sheet for more information gathering.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This is useful tools for team projects, information sharing, and small database service. Smartsheet is easy to access instead of using files in-network for sharing. This definitely increases efficiency within the team.

Very helpful tool to organize project plans; like the functionality to attach and store files within; easy to share with outside sources

Some of the "Excel" functions lose a little bit of their advantage in the system - takes some getting used to

Project management problems - building a dynamic project plan that is flexible to adapt to actual timelines - it's a huge time and expense saver!

What do you like best about the product?
All the visual aids and the intuitive platform. It also helps the use of dashboards and calendar to organize production. The reports have been great to have in control of more company departments.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be great to have more functions to create executive reports and a complete help menu. I started using Smartsheet without capacitation, and it would be nice to have some.

We use smartsheet in many different ways. It helps us have a full scope of the progress of every order. We also know how much money the shop is processing per time.
