Frequent user of Smartsheet and loving it!
What do you like best about the product?
I love how easy Smartsheet makes my life. The conditional formatting is great to reduce the amount of formatting I do but I personally love the Automation ability. It allows me to greatly reduce my workload by automating emails I would have had to filter for them email individually myself.
I have created so many Smartsheets for in my Studio Administrator role but also in my Project Coordinator role. Both clients and consultants alike use it as well which is a great testament to it's power.

What do you dislike about the product?
I wish we had the ability to edit the format of the Column Titles. It would also be helpful to remove the Title character limit. Something like Tabs in Excel would be a great addition as well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet helps me be much more efficient which is helpful when you have too much work and too little time as many people experience. It has also helped me stay organized in situations where I would have been lost otherwise. Smartsheet is always my go-to tool.

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to include our customers in the process by giving them access to their Smartsheet. This has cut down on a TON of back and forth email traffic and the need to meet in person often.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's pretty easy to setup the basic functions, but it's a little complicated when you start trying to add some more advanced features and automation. We had a hard time creating a usable dashboard but eventually figured it out.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our implementation process for our Company's software includes a lot of form review and editing. Before we used Smartsheet we used an excel sheet that we emailed back and forth. This caused a lot of issues when multiple people were trying to work on the same project together.
Great for collaborating on projects
What do you like best about the product?
The functionality of the spreadsheet is great. Daily digest of changes with automated workflows is very useful for monitoring a highly collaborative page.
Automated field updates, conditional formatting, and locked columns allow for some good controls at the PMO level.

What do you dislike about the product?
I wish the dashboards could be sent via automated workflows (daily digest/snapshot).
Filtering could be better with and/or capabilities. Today I have to do one filter for "any criteria" and another for "at least criteria", and it would be nice to have that be a single saved filter.
Realtime changes on sheet would be nice. Auto-save is NECESSARY and causes the most issues.
All that said, we still love it.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Milestone tracking - we benefit from many collaborators keeping a single sheet updated.
Gantt chart view helps to review where there are too many milestones due at once, and we will have capacity issues.

Efficiency at its best!
What do you like best about the product?
The system is very efficient, I feel like it helps my day to day run smooth. I am able to effectively communicate with my high schools; and send update requests for necessary items needed.
What do you dislike about the product?
N/A- the system is very great. I don't have any issues. Since we have started using Smartsheet at my company many years ago, The sheets and workspaces have been effective. We use it to monitor student enrollment for Dual Credit, and we currently have a data base of at least 3,000 students. Smartsheet makes my life MUCH easier!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is helping my office become very organized and effective. We have a very large student data base and the functions of the Resource Center that we created along with the individual work spaces we have works wonders. We used to do everything by hand and now Smartsheet keeps us efficient.

Collates data into one platform and automates reminders.

What do you dislike about the product?
It has certain limitations as compared to MSP or Primavera, for instance the baseline/ critical path in Gantt view is fairly restrictive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has reduced my workload and makes projects more efficiently managable. Our clients love such a platform that offers transparency and visibility.
Easy reporting and effective visual dashboards
What do you like best about the product?
The most useful thing about Smarsheet is how easy it is to create a dashboard from a Smartsheet you created. I lvoe reporting social media results and analytics through Smartsheet and I can then use those sheets to create dashboards to present to colleagues and managers to evidence impact in an engaging way
What do you dislike about the product?
The worst thing about Smartsheet is that you have to follow some exact way of reporting information on a Smartsheet or you won't be able to create widgets on a psossible dashboard. It gets very annoying, if the data is not written in a specific way, with adjacent columns and rows, I cannot create the widgets.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps me with paid ads and social media reporting, it helps me create project management sheets to record the progress of my projects but also I can create sheets to manage all tasks between projects and see how much capacity is left and how much progress has been completed.
Overall I can create amazign Gantt charts just with a click and it is really helps to visualise any sort of schedules and calendars.

Improve colaboration, save time, and streamline processes!
What do you like best about the product?
We use Smartsheet to seek approvals across the business via a stage gate process, this enables all departments visibility into the project via the attachments to the sheet and also provides visibility to all participants in the project as to where the project is up.
Also, love the automation and alerts we can build for approvals and notifications across different projects/tasks.

What do you dislike about the product?
Managing access to a significant volume of sheets was tricky adding and removing users and managing various access types. The group management function has improved this significantly, however, we would need to go back through each sheet one by one to update.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing stage gate approvals and ensuring all participants of the project have visibility into the project at all times. In addition, we have real-time dashboards showing project status.
Smartsheet Use
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is awesome for the freedom you have to create. There is great flexibility in the product and love that it can be used in data tracking format but can also be more creatively in dashboard format.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think what I most dislike about Smartsheet, mostly because this happened to me and it was terrible: the inability to recall previously saved documents. I deleted all row formulas on a sheet one time and hit save and basically had to start fresh so if there is a way to avoid silly mistakes like that, that would be awesome. I also dislike the format of tracking all sheets, dashboards, etc. I think that could be improved to more easily see all items shared with me, and what I own as well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet helps us to easily track acquisitions and mergers, track state regulations and roll-outs of projects dependent on those regulations, creating forms widely used on phones of our employees, creating dashboards for our departments. This all increases productivity and functionality in our organization.

• Simple to add drop-down lists with the ability to assign multiple personnel to the task.
• Oh-so-easy ability to switch a spreadsheet’s view back & forth from grid, to Gantt timeline, to card view (a great visual way to manage something like graphic proofs).
• Mobile App access on the go + some cool features like instantly uploading photo shots, marking your GPS location, and easy form submission.
• Ability to log in from almost anywhere and every device.

• I would like to use cell borders better; what can I say – I like formatting thick borders.
• Simplified formatting option to automatically alternate the color of rows.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My team produces events & we use Smartsheet as our production timeline, graphic proofing tool, and everyday budget tracker.
It is simple with a relatively short & easy learning curve for everyone on the team - no matter how “technology adapt” they are or are not.
Overall, my team likes the simplicity and versatility of Smartsheet. It is not just a project management software or accounting spreadsheet. It is a versatile and economical solution for teams that need something to keep them all connected.

Super Helpful Resource!
What do you like best about the product?
I primarily use Smartsheets to build new processes and timelines for cross-functional collaboration. I am not an official project manager, but I lead the development of projects that require detailed steps and responsibilities that Smartsheet technology helps guide. Rather than starting from scratch with each campaign I activate, I can easily repurpose timeline templates for all projects with complicated overlapping responsibilities contingent on steps throughout the process.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have not had the time to learn ALL of this platform's capabilities, but I have heard they are also helpful! I know they offer training to learn more, but I have not had the time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Collaboration, timelines, contingent process steps, cross-functional responsibilities, and overall project management. I no longer waste time creating a process or timeline for each project but can alter and adapt the current one for future needs.
