Versatile and user friendly

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is very cost effective, easy to use and versatile. The most enjoyable facet is the ability to edit and redesign on the fly simply and quickly. Ease of integration is also very useful.
What do you dislike about the product?
Understanding what Smartsheet is about and what it's designed to do there isn't much I dislike. There are small things that I can do on Excel that don't carry over to Smartsheet that would be helpful (Hiding rows for example) but I'm sure as these things are requested they will be implemented.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having the flexibility to created and automate the information in a tailored way for me is fantastic, Also the ability to share information in multiple ways in an easy to read format is highly regarded.

Using Smartsheet to provide efficiencies

  • May 22, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We are utilizing Smartsheet to provide efficiencies in our processes that were originally kept in a static state. This allows for multiple users to be accessing and working with the same data at the same time. It also provides one source for data to increase the accuracy of the data. We are utilizing the alerts feature which has helped to keep our teams on track and informed. We currently are using smartsheet for GL entry balancing (for providing notes and follow-up on entries), To-Do lists, Branch Audit records, Merger timelines, project tracking and much more.
What do you dislike about the product?
Having a feature to hide a row similar to a column. More features for writing formulas. More options in the reporting module for ways to present the data and exporting formats.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Providing one source of data to ensure the data is accurate. Allowing mulitple users to be working on a list has increased productivity of our teams. Also has provided the ability to track information coming across our locations more quickly.

Project Manager

What do you like best about the product?
The user experience. The views are friendly and it´s easy to use and share.
Most of the customer also like the experience to use Smartsheets for project plans.
What do you dislike about the product?
It´s not so friendly to set up specific date with TIME for the activities, or at least I don´t fully understand that functionally, but doing some manual adjustments.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is very easy to share and very easy to collaborate using Smarsheets. It has different views (Gantt,Grid, Calendar, Card) so it´s very useful to drive Projects.

My feedback of one year experience

  • May 22, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Keep tracking the daily basis workloads smoothly.
Have the ability to see the status of each work request assigned to the rest of our team members, not only to myself.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish the width of each column was not available to be adjusted by each user; only the supervisor/manager or administrator could resize or change the width due to the difference in the monitor size of everyone.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It solves the conflict in assigning projects to other team members and staying updated by dates, comments, and required details to be processed. It has a high level of flexibility.

Preferred PM Tool

  • May 22, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
If you are used to managing projects in Excel, Smartsheet is the best tool to transition to, IMO. It has the no-nonsense approach but with a lot of really great tools and smart functionalities built in. I love being able to easily set up dependencies, set durations, run reports off of my sheets, and create dashboards. I just find the UI more functional and intuitive than a lot of other PM platforms that might be more visually appealing (like Monday or Asana).
What do you dislike about the product?
Linking between sheets isn't as intuitive as I'd like. I've also had instances where it would be helpful to be able to create sections within a single sheet, but that becomes nearly impossible with the static header column names.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Given the broad use abilities, we're able to use one tool for several different departments and uses. This, in turn, fosters comfort and confidence in the tool so that we're all empowered to look for and use other department tools/calendars we may need to leverage to inform our work. The jira integration is also very useful in automating a lot of work across teams and platforms

Useful Tool for Many Business Functions

  • May 22, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I use Smartsheet for as many business processes as possible. It is excellent for building, automating, and keeping track of external and internal workflows. It's flexibility and the ability to build dashboards, integrate with other apps, and send emails to those on and off of the platform make it both modular and flexible for almost any need.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not like that the Sheets do not auto-save while work is being done in them, and working with multiple users on the same sheet simultaneously can lead to problems.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet enables the team I support to list and track client sites that are on deadlines for regulatory compliance. In other areas, Smartsheet helps us assign and track tasks.

A versatile tool for project managment

  • May 22, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like the flexibility of Smartsheet and how easy it is to build projects. We use this for our Project Management Office and it was easy to use and understand. We have a lot of plans for other projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
The one downside of Smartsheet is not so much an issue with the system, as much as it is an issue with limitations in staffing that do not allow us to do as much planning and organization ahead of time to build all the applications that we want to build.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Consolidating the project management process into one system instead of multiple Microsoft Word and Excel documents. Previously, we used a complex series of Windows folders and various documents for each project. Now, we have a one stop shop for our PMO.

Great Project Management Tool

  • May 22, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like the multiple roles I can create and give each different permissions through workapps
I like that it's a collaborative tool so that multiple members of my team can update a document
I really enjoy the forms aspect
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some features that I think would be really helpful, like being able to copy a single cell instead of an entire row, or being able to make the automatic email notifications more customizable
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's helping with transparency and constant requests from updates from our business partners. We're able to keep them informed in real-time and keep the team accountable for deadlines and who is owning what next steps.

My experience so far...

  • May 22, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like having the ability to export to Word, Excel, PowerPoint and PDF. I also like that I can imbed charts and dashboards outside of the environment to close any gaps of what SmartSheet is capable of.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would really like to see your company invest in meaningful lesson content that is offered as post sale support. The free lessons are only 30min long and provide very surface-level support. Typically it feels as though the client is being driven towards the purchase of additional bolt-ons/Upgrades to accomplish our objectives. It would be more useful to actually bill for the sessions and take deeper dives.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Organizing our portfolio of projects and assigning work to our project managers. We also use it at the project manager level to manage projects through all milestones. In addition we leverage the form and surveying functions as well.

Game Changer

What do you like best about the product?
Our team greatly values the collaboration offered by Smartsheet. We extend invitations to our clients to participate in specific workspaces, which enables them to contribute to their projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'm having trouble thinking of things I don't like about Smartsheet. Their product teams are consistently innovative and proactive in staying ahead of potential problems in technology.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As someone who manages a large portfolio of clients, it used to be nearly impossible to keep track of all the different projects I had open with each one. However, since implementing Smartsheet, I have found it much easier to delegate tasks to my team and stay on top of updates. This has saved us a lot of time that would otherwise be spent trying to catch up during weekly meetings.
