What do you like best about the product?
familiar interface (similar to excel), easy to share with teams, resource manager module is great

What do you like best about the product?
I really value the flexibility—Smartsheet gives me a single place to manage projects, track progress, and collaborate with different stakeholders. I like how I can customize sheets for HR projects, compensation planning, or compliance timelines, and then easily share updates with leadership. The dashboards and automated reminders make it easier to keep people accountable without me having to constantly chase things down.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the learning curve is steep for new users—it can feel overwhelming with all the options. I’ve also noticed that more advanced reporting features can be tricky without additional training. Occasionally, performance slows down if a sheet gets very large or has a lot of automation built in. Those are small trade-offs compared to the benefits, but they can create challenges for adoption.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet is helping me solve the challenge of keeping complex projects organized and visible across different teams. In HR, I use it to track compensation reviews, compliance timelines, and benefits initiatives—all in one place—so nothing falls through the cracks. It reduces the need for endless email updates, gives leaders real-time visibility into progress, and creates accountability with clear task ownership. The benefit is that I spend less time chasing information and more time focusing on strategy, while my team feels supported with clear structures and reminders.
Great for collaboration to reach goals
What do you like best about the product?
The forms feature has been amazing and a great way to allow collaboration for input into a spreadsheet after. I also really enjoy using Dashboards for great visuals of the work being done and a great way to manage projects and reach goals.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there were more powerful queries and pivots available. I often have to export the data to do analysis in another program as Smartsheet is limited in what it can handle and do on the analysis front.

Collaborating on one sheet with multiple users inputting data and then being able to do analysis on that data
Smartsheet=Great Tool for Organization and Tracking Work Load
What do you like best about the product?
What i like best about Smartsheet is the number of features available compared to Excel. There is more customization that can be used to prepare the Smartsheet the way you envision.
What do you dislike about the product?
What i dislike is that there is a learning curve to figuring out how to get the sheets integrated to perform the way you want. With a training it is easier to figure these items out.

It allows a single location to house all of our working trackers that everyone can access. Additionally, it allows great tools to manage workload and task completion.
Useful for work experiences
What do you like best about the product?
I like that Smartsheet offers a variety of templates and options for a head start but is also incredibly customizable to fit the needs of whatever your current tasks are. It also allows for a variety of functions built in such as summing a category or highlighting text in columns when edited. This is a tool my company uses daily in a variety of departments.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that it does not easily have the new blank sheet available and you have to choose a template and while they have a large assortment of templates to choose from sometimes you just need a basic one to copy and paste an excel into so you can begin to manipulate the data.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Smartsheet as a workflow management piece to track how pieces move between departments along with task management for individual departments along with inventory management and tracking.
A Helpful Project Management Software - Just Missing A Few Things
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheets provides a basic project management software option for people who are looking for a simple system to help them stay organized with tasks, especially if they are working frequently with a team that needs to communicate about those tasks. The ability to assign, tag, and chat within the program is very helpful for managing projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
The app feels outdated, it is not easy to sort through more recent projects and it feels a bit clunky overall. When I last looked, there was no mac desktop app either which would be nice to have. Some of the project view options are outdated too. So it's clear updates are being made incrimentally at least. It's also difficult to find certain settings for the form I made connected to my board (adding a requestor or assignee). It always takes me 10-15 minutes just to figure out where the spot was to edit the form.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have a lot of design requests that come in daily or weekly. Smartsheets helps me to stay organized with not just the projects themselves, but the updates given for these projects. I would be overwhelmed and unorganzied without a software like this.

What do you like best about the product?
What I like about Smartsheet is that it's very interactive and easy to use, and my favourite feature is Smartsheet forms. As an HR manager, it allows me to create the forms and have all the results under one platform without having to manage multiple. What do you dislike about the product?
Smartsheet is a powerful tool, but I’ve found that its interface can be a bit overwhelming for new users, and setting up reports or automations isn’t always intuitive. It’s effective once you get the hang of it, but it can take time for teams to fully adopt.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet helps us track crucial employee data and automate HR tasks such as vacation accrual reminders, staff surveys, and performance tracking. It also streamlines our onboarding and offboarding processes, as well as health and safety incident report tracking, and enables better overall reporting and analytics.
