Smartsheet simplifies my day-to-day
What do you like best about the product?
It's user-friendly, easy to learn/teach others about, and keeps me organized. Oftentimes, when I'm starting a new project and trying to think of ways to keep track of my work, Smartsheet is one of the first tools I think of.
What do you dislike about the product?
For how I use Smartsheet, I feel that it meets my needs at this time. I often use it to keep information organized for projects and it prompts me to stay on task and follow up, when needed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The main problem that Smartsheet solves for me and the team I work on is enabling multiple team members to access a sheet, report, or dashboard. It's very different from an Excel sheet in the way that multiple team members can work within the same sheet at the same time.
Invaluable Tool
What do you like best about the product?
Smarthsheet greatly facilitates communications across multiple staff and workflows. This program allows me to keep communication about any project with the relevant project rather than grinding through mountains of emails in my inbox. In one Smarthseet I am able to display a quarter's worth of project deadlines, status, relevant links, etc. for my whole team. I find the use of Smartsheets survey capabilities for quick tracking of necessary program sign-ups, feedback, etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish Smartsheet didn't have to be exported to Excel, instead, would accept cut/paste of cells between Smarthseet and Excel.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet helps me organize time member activities and communicate efficiently with my teams. The reporting options and dashboard help me display key metrics associated with key project elements.

Is the most organized software, smartsheet helps us to achieve our goals by increasing productivity and reducing the variability of the process making a standardized result.
What do you dislike about the product?
the lest helpful of this software is the visualization, you may improve visualization and make it more intuitive so will be much easier to learn how to use it in the first time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
is helping our company to have all the data and information together in one place safe and easy to access, by the way, is really when you have all tasks in one place and you can check them when is compleeted
Simple tool to get organize
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is very user-friendly. You can do many things with it: from managing simple projects to creating proofs for others to review. Fairly inexpensive software.
What do you dislike about the product?
I use the proof part of smartsheet a lot and I wish I could automate the process and send reminder automatically to people that haven't reviewed the proof. There are a limit of 20.000 rows, that's an increase from the previous 5.000 rows limit but it can still be not enough depending on what you use smartsheet for.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use smartsheet to manage projects in our marketing department. We use it to create projects, track who is actively working on aproject and the status of a project. We also use the proof aspect of smartsheet.
Great product with useful managment tools
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of connecting data between sheets into reports and dashboards. Specific data can remain in its individual but the ability to combine a lot of information into one informative page that multiple users can access is great!
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike edit-sharing permissions. I feel that each sheet should have permission assigned to it vs just sharing a workspace with multiple people and giving them one access level. I commonly want one person to edit multiple sheets without sharing the entire workspace.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Creates an organized system to assign and schedule tasks for myself and other team members. Communicate project info to customer and other while keeping all information in an easily accessible cloud.
Great Tool for Collaborating
What do you like best about the product?
Ability to create a useful tracker that our team can access anywhere, anytime.
What do you dislike about the product?
Columns can not be adjusted in the sheet to be able to add new information that does not align with the column headings. still need better ways to work within a sheet

we have a global team and as the Managing Editor it allows me to see all activities related to specific magazine issue.
Powerful, flexible tool with automation capabilities
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is intuitive and has helped me with event planning tasks including graphics, signage, presentation management, speaker information collection, committee reviews, specification distribution, and change management. The automation and notification capabilities make it my absolute favorite. I also appreciate the customer service - they proactively reach out when they see ways that you could be using their tool more efficiently, which is amazing.
What do you dislike about the product?
It requires a bit of a learning curve, as it's SIMILAR to Excel, but not exactly like it, and it has the ability to attach files, comment, add proofs for review, among other options - which are al huge plusses, but are also things to learn how to use (and use well).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am an event planner, and need to coordinate thousands of small details among dozens of contributors including speakers, sponsors, vendors, staff, and volunteers. Smartsheet provides a place to house all those details that allows for collaboration, AND ways to automate communication so others don't have to wait on me to see something come into my inbox and send it back out again.

What do you like best about the product?
In my former role, I introduced Smartsheet to a large robotics 2P to reduce email traffic and increase visibility and transparency between themselves and our 3P. I carried that into my new role and have been able to stay connected to DOT expirations and not skip a beat or place my company in violation.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't have anything to dislike about Smartsheet. It has all the workflow functionality I need to remain connected to my customer and team members. Smartsheet FTW!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We would lose sight of emails due to push notifications, wait for others to complete tasks on spreadsheets before contribution, and not have visibility into who did what on our former sheet vendor.
Good option for auto approvals
What do you like best about the product?
Smart sheets provide a good and intuitive experience in creating flows that require approvals and need dynamic triggering rules.

Smart sheets can be difficult to navigate within the spreadsheet. Unlike Google sheets and Excel workbooks, smart sheets formulas can be confusing to use and difficulty learn.
It is difficult to quickly manipulate data biggest issue smartsheet is creation of data visualization's. You have to create a separate workbook view to create each visualization which gets cumbersome overtime.

It's making it easier to collect data from people and send it up through a chain of approvals and automatically letting people know via email
Automated Reminder
What do you like best about the product?
The automated reminder helps to manage my deadlines and relieves work load. As part of a small company, I have multiple responsibilities. Smartsheet helps a lot from tracking small things to outputting the bigger picture when attaining goals.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is very similar to excel which is sometimes confusing when it comes to creating formulas and functions. SmartSheet also tends to lag when multiple users are using it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The Automation function benefits my work a lot. It can send out reminders and updates for deadline.
