Realtime project collaboration, promoting project and portfolio transparency
What do you like best about the product?
Collaborate real-time project data on a global level with an interactive dashboard feeding up to a real-time portfolio overview. The sheet features, such as comments, proofing, attachments, cell history, etc. add another dimension. The no-code build allows improvements in line with our processes at a scalable level. Cell linking and cross-sheet referencing gives that one point of truth, avoiding duplication and input errors. Sheets provide dynamic data input Forms and workflows to automate data movement, notifications, changes etc. Global updates can be executed to modify all projects in the portfolio but this has some limitations (that are constantly being addressed!). The mobile app allows users to review and approve documents, plus lots more, on the fly. The Smartsheet community offer free support and solutions to typical questions.
What do you dislike about the product?
Validation lists are specific to columns rather than cell level, forcing a less intuitive workaround of validation entries to keep the data on a sheet outlook compact. Creating documents out of Dashboards is very limited.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Real-time collaborative work with a portfolio overview, offering transparency at all levels. Our solution is relatively complex with integrated work packages and Smartsheet handles this very well. The use of different sheet views (Card, Grid, Gantt) benefits our users in different ways.
Great tools, minimal training included
What do you like best about the product?
I like that Smartsheet allows us to tell our story through visually pleasing dashboards. As a non-profit, we rely heavily on donations and sponsorships and Smartsheet allows us to showcase our impact on the community. You can customize colors to fit your branding needs as well. I like that you can blend narrative and data charts in one place. I also like that it is live data and it always updating in the backend.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the amount of training included with an initial Smartsheet implementation. The sales team is very supportive through the contract signing piece and then the support team felt like a drop off. We weren't able to accomplish our goals with the included hours and ended up learning and troubleshooting on our own. You can always buy additional support hours but they weren't in our initial budget.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet is able to help us tell our story in an easily digestible way by combing visual data charts and narrative statements. We were looking to show our impact and Smartsheet allowed us to do so.
Smartsheet has streamlined our PD process, by allowing us to track project progress in real time.
What do you like best about the product?
Dashboards are a great way to simplify and share information across your organization. They can also easily be set up to update automatically with the data you enter into your sheets.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside to Smartsheet is that it takes time and effort to get your projects set up in the system, but the upside is that you get to customize it perfectly to your organization's needs. Just be sure to set some time aside to complete the projects properly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet allows us to track out projects in real time and commit to and keep an updated project schedule.
Great tool for project management
What do you like best about the product?
I love the ease of creating new sheets and the parent/child functionality. We use smartsheet exclusively for managing our projects. We have been using Smartsheet for many years and I have been impressed with the evolution of the tool. I know that we don't use all the functionality yet but the smartsheet team is always available to guide us when we identify something that might be useful for us.
What do you dislike about the product?
I hesitate to say that I dislike the new pricing model but it is a definite change that we are still adapting to.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our organization is becoming more formalized in project management and smartsheet is certainly helping us to move forward. We already knew the basics but are now creating dashboards to share with senior leadership and they are quite impressed.
Smartsheet has changed the way I communicate with my teams, increased productivity and saved time!

It can be hard to copy and paste information from one sheet to another. I miss having tabs like you do in Excel. I wish I could click the attachments and print them immediately. I do not want to have to download and save first.

Amazing Collaboration Tool
What do you like best about the product?
THe collaboration features that allow my team to work different projects together amd we can keep track of everything live with the help of automation and basic dashboard modules.
What do you dislike about the product?
The reports are poorly designed in my opinion and requires a revamp in terms of interface and optios becuase currently its very limited and more things can be done with it compare to other solutions in the market.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For my clients allow me to provide solutions that improve internal workflows and manage projects effectively and internally allow us to record data such as employee rosters, compliance follow ups and more.
The Best Project Management and Teamwork Solution
What do you like best about the product?
I like using Smartsheet because it offers powerful organizational tools that no other platform has. Its versatile spreadsheets make it easy to analyze and process a lot of data, while the Gantt chart feature allows me to plan my projects effortlessly. Furthermore, conditional formats ensure that I always have important information at my fingertips and never miss a deadline! With its comprehensive feature set, Smartsheet is perfect for large initiatives as well as day-to-day operations - truly an invaluable organizational tool in anyone's arsenal.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not like how difficult it can be to learn how to use Smartsheet's various features. While the learning curve may not be too high if you just want to manage tasks, getting maximum benefit from the product requires some time and effort to understand all that it has to offer. This lack of simplicity is something I personally dislike about using Smartsheet.

Smartsheet helps us streamline our communication and workflow, which saves time and energy. It gives us visibility into departmental updates so we can make informed decisions quickly.
Better than imagined.
What do you like best about the product?
Easy online access from anywhere. Can be easily modified and is user friendly.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there is a way to format the sheets automatically so I do not need to insert a function to format the sheets. Right now I have a column indicator with numbers in sequential order and the rows change color ever other row if it is an odd number. Only problem is when the row moves to another sheet that function is broken and I have to reset the sequential numbering.

Smartsheet allows us to work remotely if needed and access information quickly. It has allowed us to get away from physical file folders. Smartsheet also keeps track of project progress limiting tasks that get overlooked or forgotten.

What I like about Smarsheets is it really modern features involving

2) I really like Flexibility and Customization that Smartsheet offers with a wide range of templates and the ability to create custom workflows and project structures to suit different business needs.
3) Its Project Management Capabilities is really efficient most times as it provides must have features like Gantt charts, task dependencies, and automated workflows.
4) As someone who started new, I was really impressed with the Smartsheet ease of use.

What do you dislike about the product?
I have had issues with opening the MS office Project files with smartsheets and have found that dates and dependencies get changed sometimes. I think that is something that can be improved as most big organizations still use MS project and we mostly get those files shared with us . Thus that integration needed to be made more efficeint.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is my tool to go to for project management work. I have had really easy time sharing this tool with colleages and teaching them and thus this is very easy to adapt.

What do you like best about the product?
The platform allows seamless process flows, real-time information access and sharing. Smartsheet enables us to manage our organizational needs in alignment with our internal strategy. Moreover, Smartsheet's simple structure, clean look and feel, and extreme flexibility in moving rows and columns make using it addictive and enjoyable.

That other people arent using it , everyone needs to know and use Smartsheet!
