Visibility and User friendliness of Smartsheet
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is a great visibility tool that has helped me track multiple items from my program. Each time I felt that I am unable to perform a function such as linking etc I was able to seek immediate assistance from their customer support. It has been a great experience for me until now.
What do you dislike about the product?
The inability to restore row items once deleted. You need to constantly keep saving the file.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ability to link tasks and assign tasks has been of huge help. The auto message which are sent once a code is reached, is one of the most helpful features! I do not have to follow up until and unless the person to whom the task is assigned has not responded, this reduces a large amount of workload.

What do you like best about the product?
I use Smartsheet every day—it’s become an essential part of my workflow. One of the biggest wins was migrating our trackers from Excel into Smartsheet, which dramatically improved visibility and organization. The executive team appreciated the cleaner presentation and real-time updates. I can now track cases quickly and access related documents with ease.
The AI-powered customer support is excellent—fast, intuitive, and helpful when troubleshooting or learning new features. Implementation had a bit of a learning curve, but once I got through it, the platform proved to be incredibly flexible and powerful.

What do you dislike about the product?
While Smartsheet is powerful, some advanced features require a learning curve, especially when integrating with external systems or automating workflows. A few UI elements could be more intuitive for new users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet is helping streamline project tracking and cross-functional collaboration. It’s solving the problem of fragmented communication by centralizing updates, documents, and timelines in one place. For me, it’s especially useful in managing legislative monitoring and internal coordination—keeping everything organized and visible without relying on endless email threads or scattered spreadsheets. It’s also made it easier to share progress with stakeholders and ensure alignment across teams.

What do you like best about the product?
I love the functionality of Smartsheet. It takes the best parts of excel and improves it. The automations and features are easy to use once you get the hang of it.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is a expensive to use for an entire company.

Smartsheet makes it easy incorporate automations/alerts through different departments in a company. Also, the customizable reporting is excellent!

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to track projects with multiple contributors and link cells to other projects. Dependencies can be helpful, especially on larger projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
Formulas feel very limited, sometimes unfamiliar compared to Excel or Google Sheets. Start/end date is clunky, especially when trying to edit task dates.
There are better tools for everyday Marketing users who want to easily track copy or graphics edits instead of row comments or attaching files.

Smartsheet is a helpful collaboration tool and keeps our team on the same page on projects with multiple contributors. It helps track delivery dates, launch dates, and KPIs for our marketing assets.
Smartsheet for architects
What do you like best about the product?
Very simple and efficient to use as a drawing register and issue sheet. Smartsheet provides the tools to keep track of drawings issued and distributed, updated and revised. It allows the entire professional team to gain access to the information and up to date information at their finger tips. More over, it also provides a historic record of what was issued and when. The app can be used by onyone at anytime.

Sometime the manual input required for each item is tedious, but we understand the necessity.

Smartsheet is good in a lot of ways but excel is simpler for some features.
What do you like best about the product?
I like the fact you can have automated elements easier than excel and that you can have lots of documents in one place.

Adding filters, excel is more user friendly for this and is simpler.

We can track progress, automate reports and work on many documents in the same space instead of having multiple spreadsheets saved in various folders on sharepoint.

Web based so not a heavy system application.
Easy to use, structured like most spreadsheets but good configuration management and history records. Ability to attach evidence to entries has also been valuable.

What do you like best about the product?
The collaboration aspect of it. It provides an easy way to organize data and retrieve it for use for reports and updates.
What do you dislike about the product?
The cost, the absurb license requirements and the fact that it can only be shared with other licensed users. I think it does a lot of buffering connecting references and links. I spend more time waiting than I feel is necessary. Some of the features don't work well, like the Data Shuttle filters if you are trying to find items that do not include specific texts. I the the cost is expensive and there should be a bigger discount for non profits. I feel like I have never contacted customer support and they provided me real solutions. I think that it is more of a waste of time. I always figure out what to do on my own with no help. I use Smartsheet everyday and I love the app, but there are some issues that can get better.

I use it to collect data from participants and track registrations. This is helpful because I can use it to create status reports and share with the board. I like that it can be duplicated for the next event so I don't have to make it from scratch. I like that its user friendly, even though it takes a while to connect to references.
Great Project Management Tool for growing companies
What do you like best about the product?
Its a flexible tool that can be used to support various teams. We enjoy how versatile it is and how we can customize it to our own use. It is easy to train new hires and integrate to other workflows.
What do you dislike about the product?
Often times the membership structure is confusing.

The tool helps with managing project workflows and large scale complex projects.
