Excellent collaborative platform
What do you like best about the product?
The most valued aspects about Smartsheet, for my role, are the online access and ease of sharing with internal and external stakeholders. I am not familiar with any other platform that would make collaboration and sharing this easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downfall with Smartsheet is that it can be somewhat intimidating for new users, and it can take some time to get used to the various features. That being said, Smartsheet has countless helpful videos for practically any topic that may be needed. And if those can't help find a solution, there is always a Smartsheet representative available to assist. Just like any software, it's only a matter of time for people to get accustomed to it, and enjoy it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Timeline management, timeline sharing, and workload forecast and assessments, as well as dashboard updates to the executive team are the main items that Smartsheet is helping my team with.

What do you like best about the product?
Pros of Smartsheet include:
- Easy to create reports and dashboards (love the widgets!)
- Easy to apply formatting/rules
- Love the automation capabilities (i.e., sending requests to users to update data fields, etc.)

What do you dislike about the product?
- Dislike that you can't use a report to add new line to parent sheet
- Dislike that parent and child rows don't have robust connectivity in reports
- Want to be able to color code column headers

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
- Wanted to have a web-based platform that would allow for multi-user access for collaboration across project and program teams
- Wanted to be able to generate metrics and reports to summarize high-level updates/insights to report out to leadership team

What do you like best about the product?
1. Creating, managing and sharing project plans.
2. Quick dependencies creation within plans with the Gantt Chart view export providing clear visibility.
3. Ability to automate backend processes (emails, capturing details) leveraging frontend forms that are easy to build and present.

What do you dislike about the product?
1. Add the ability to add holidays for individual resources and public holidays for different regions. (Also, allow the user to define holidays). The plan should auto-adjust based on the holidays defined by the user. For comparison, MS Project has offered this for several years now.
2. Gantt chart view within plans isn't the most intuitive.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
1. Smartsheets helps us prepare project plans quickly. Setup is a breeze.
2. Smartsheet forms are being used to automate support tickets and assign them to the correct queue.
3. We're using smartsheet forms to raise invoices for client projects where managers can select the period, attach the SOW, and automate the process.
4. Project Managers leverage custom built dashboards to present the weekly project status to their clients.

Be more organized, collaborative and productive!
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is very user-friendly and easy to use. It also facilitates teamwork by enabling easy collaboration and communication among team members. It makes it easier for me to assign tasks, share files and track progress in real-time. It integrates with various softwares like Microsoft and Google Maps; this enables seamless data exchange and streamlines workflows too.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a learning curve in using Smartsheet due to its slight differences from what you may be accustomed to. That's the primary challenge. Some certain limitations and tasks may require additional setup and customization efforts. However, the benefits outweigh these considerations if you have the appropriate project.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps streamline business processes by providing visibility into tasks, timelines and dependencies. Basically, it helps my business to overcome challenges related to workflow management, resource allocation and data analysis.
Smartsheet simplifies the best parts of excel then adds even more functionality & collaboration.
What do you like best about the product?
The ways you can link multiple sheets together to create large-scale reports. The ability to create collaboration spaces and allow several different levels of access and ability within one sheet. I also enjoy the ability to transition between different views on the same sheet to see an easier timeline or a more detailed list, depending on what is needed.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be awesome if the save function was more automatic and less dependent on the user to hit a button. Editing between rows becomes finicky when you've had a sheet open for a long time. And when in snap screen, it is impossible to see what you are typing in a box until several seconds after you finish resulting in many errors.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is solving how monthly data is collected, streamlined, and communicated to share the success stories of a whole team. It is also keeping projects with several tasks and collaborators involved organized and on track. I personally use it to know what my work tasks are for any given day, week, or month as well.
A lot of functionality in a small package
What do you like best about the product?
What I like the most about Smartsheet is the shareability of the cloud platform and the interoperability of my datasets. My dashboards, charts, forms and general management sheets all share data.
What do you dislike about the product?
Because it's a cloud platform, I lose access when offline. Not that this is a problem in a general sense, but a few times, we have lost access to the data due to external network issues beyond our control.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Designing my workflows with logical notifications is a huge time saver. Time saved from directly managing the workflows is time better spent on the project instead of the administration.
Never used Excel again
What do you like best about the product?
It is very user-friendly! Easy to use. Much better than Excel. Love how I can start working on a document and share it with the team, and they can pick up right where I left off.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not like that it is a free application. Other than that I like everything about the application. I do wish more people knew about it so they can also download the app.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is allowing me to be a better project manager. It is allowing me to collaborate better with my team. It allows for everyone on the team to have a voice and understand exactly where we are.
It is good, but can be very confusing

It is very powerful, and if you have the time you can make it do a lot of what you would like it to do. It is great to have many of the tools that you need for projects at your fingertips

It can be very confusing to work with at times. You need to dedicate a lot of time to use the higher functions. And sometimes it acts weird and makes views hard on reports

allows us to make big reports that can share out through the organization. We can make project trackers for individual projects and keep them up to date, and with dynamic view I can give the customer a view of the project status in real time.

What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Smartsheet is how it can do things for us automatically. It has tools that eliminate repetitive tasks, allowing us to be more productive. We can also design workflows to meet our specific requirements.
What do you dislike about the product?
Smartsheet does a good job with reporting, but it could have more ways to show data. Having different kinds of charts and ways to see data would make it even better.

Smartsheet has solved our project management challenges by providing a centralized platform for planning, tracking, and collaboration. It has eliminated the need for multiple spreadsheets and email threads, ensuring all team members have access to real-time project data.

What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet makes handling big projects a lot simpler. It has an easy-to-understand interface with strong tools for managing projects. These tools help us to follow and coordinate tasks easily. Our teams can work together better because of its collaboration features, leading to much higher productivity.
What do you dislike about the product?
The way Smartsheet prices its product could be more adaptable. The software has lots of features, but the cost can be high for smaller companies or new businesses, which might stop them from using some of its useful tools.

Smartsheet is helping us deal with problems in our workflow. It gives us a single platform for managing tasks, enabling us to see our work, find issues, and improve processes. This has resulted in our operations being more efficient.
